- Saintlink, on 10/12/2007, -7/+20I'm a True Conservative, not a neo-con. Let's just make that clear. Neo-cons can leave digg, the sooner the better.
- Euangelion, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16I know the deep thinking, high minded, thoughtful, left will welcome Michelle. Afterall, diversity is our strentgh, right libs??
- mlarsen, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9The needs to be a balance in the force.
- Saintlink, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Plundering the nation, driving up the debt, starting an unwelcome and uncalled for war, corporate shills running Iraq....
Hmmm, as a life long Republican voter (before switching to Indy recently) I can honestly say the GOP has tossed aside much of what true conservatism is. If that makes me a moonbat for calling them on it, I can live with that. :) - tuna1, on 10/12/2007, -6/+11While I don't agree with Michelle Malkin on most subjects, political diversity is a good thing.
Digg++; - skrowl, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9Nice to see some fellow conservative on this further and further left website! Too bad that # of diggs has no effect on what gets promoted to the main politics page. It's all up to moderators :(
- plr1024, on 10/12/2007, -6/+11The only diversity that the left doesn't like is diversity of opinion. Michelle Malkin is a very strong and effective voice for the conservative point of view. As a young minority female, she represents the face of conservatism that the left would like to deny. Her defense of internment was a reasoned explanation of a wartime policy instituted by a powerful liberal wartime president, a president who happens to be a liberal icon (interesting that liberals and left wingers never seem to slam Roosevelt for instituting the actual internment policy, just Malkin for justifying it). She did not defend every aspect of internment, and she deplored the racists that used it to their own ends.
And, BTW, when is is that Kerry is going to release his military records, so that we can see exactly what the evidence supports his claims that he was shot? - Roguecop, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7@mlarsen
I want what? Listen, you don't know me or what I want.
Everything is secondary to the Consitution and Bill of Rights. Without these documents it all falls apart.
You can't force religion on others otherwise you become as bad as the enemy. Maybe you become the enemy. Any religion is an evil force in the wrong hands. Any hands for that matter because there is none good on Earth. Any state religion is a bad thing.
You people almost seem to wish an oppresive government for this country. Where is your head?
They may start with the people you don't like initially, but eventually they come for you as well, then what?
They'll be nobody else to blame then. - tuna1, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Its not a derogatory term for democrats. Its a derogratory term for people on the far-left who disconnect themselves from logic and reality. The inverse to that would be wingnut for righties.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=wingnut&r=f - TallTim1, on 10/12/2007, -6/+9It's dugg. Kerry? veteren-yes, hero-no.
- Euangelion, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Exra Credit:
"I loathed the military" - accused rapist Bill Clinton - skydaddy, on 10/12/2007, -6/+9Re Kerry's wound, he fired at a target that was too close. The shrapnel bounced back and hit him. So while it was literally self-incflicted, it was not deliberately self-inflicted. There was a good deal of misstatement and misunderstanding about that. There's less confusion about his Band-Aid Purple Heart, however. And there's a great deal of doubt about the degree of Kerry's heroism under fire, what with reports of his running away from a fire zone, appropriating another's actions as his own, writing his own award recommendation, taking the easiest possible path and the earliest possible out, etc.
Combat vet? No doubt, and for that alone he deserves respect. But war hero? Not in my book. I've met real war heroes. - JimNtexas, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8To this day Kerry claims to have "served two tours" in Viet Nam. In fact he was in Viet Nam for less than four months.
Since he lies about something so easy to check, most veterans assume that he's lying about much of the rest of his quarter tour.
There is a reason that most of the officers in his unit hate him. - Roguecop, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5
I don't agree with that 'The Bush Administration supporters' are not a minority, well they are minority, but not in that way, there is no such thing as discrimination or hate speech against political parties. Obviously 'fair game'.
If you want to see what wingnuts are capable of posting, in regards to hate speech, check out the Usenet forums on google news. My concern is that this site devolves into that. People shouldn't have to call up digg spy and find themselves under attack from skin heads or neo nazis or angry hate minded conservatives. I don't believe they should have to deal with the more latent hate speech either, there have been at least a couple borderline submissions already...
This is from Wiki regarding hate speech..
Using the pervasiveness of the Internet, hate groups are promoting a more "professional" veneer which may appear as more scientific than hateful. This apparent normalization is considered a dangerous trend in the United States:
"..the hate movement in the United States has taken on a new, modern face. The strength of the contemporary hate movement is grounded in its ability to repackage its message in ways that make it more palatable, and in its ability to exploit the points of intersection between itself and prevailing ideological canons. In short, the hate movement is attempting to move itself into the mainstream of United States culture and politics." - jonathan70, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6A moonbat is a lunatic with bats in the belfry. No, not all Democrats are moonbats. Lieberman, for example, isn't a total moonbat. He is still a Democrat, isn't he?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7Good points, however...
"above all else please dont post angry antigay or racist hate links here. Posting blogger links on how gays or Muslims will be the end of America or how blacks were responsible for Katrina for example like a few of your fellows have been doing will only isloate you at best,"
Who's doing that? I haven't seen very much, and I've seen NOTHING that rises to the category of "hate speech".
Just because someone points out something negative about a certain group doesn't make it hateful. Otherwise we could all start saying that any negative reports about the Bush Administration is "hate speech" and ban it, because you're targeting a certain group and saying mean things about them! - tuna1, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7Wingnut -- hardly.
Of course people like you resort to calling everyone who doesn't agree with you a "wingnut".
Please refer to the real wingnuts who resort to calling me a moonbat. I'm sure you all can have a great discussion to which one I am. - shefftim, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6People mistake having a presence with having influence.
- billhobbs, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6Malkin is right on target with this post, and I'm adding Digg-friendly links to my blog - www.billhobbs.com - today.
- thotpoizn, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Interesting, hipnerd. You never bitched about that when it was only happening to conservative commenters.
:: blink :: - STARBUCK, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7Dugg, Finally some balance
Kudos to Michelle
Now waiting for my comment to be buried or thumbed-down - Roguecop, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5Just so you new guys know the mods aren't keeping you from the front page. What happens is people can mark a submission as lame, or spam, or duplicate, and so forth causing it to lose points. If a submission loses enough points it becomes buried no matter how many diggs it gets.
Just so you know linking to op-ed pieces that have no news value(most do not) or of particular interest to a general population will be frowned upon whether left or right. Posting your favorite pundits blog entry everyday will guarantee you'll get buried time after time. I don't know what stance the proprietors will take on op-ed/blogs, I believe a seperate political rants & raves section will be necessary to weed out the muck. And above all else please dont post angry antigay or racist hate links here. Posting blogger links on how gays or Muslims will be the end of America or how blacks were responsible for Katrina for example like a few of your fellows have been doing will only isloate you at best, again I don't know how far the mods will go in tolerating hate speech to begin with. This is all entirely from my perspective, take it or leave it.
Use a search engine to make sure someone else has not submitted whatever it is you want to put up to avoid duplicates... - mattowan, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7She is on top of her game!!
- macewan, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4seems that all of her youtube videos have the comments turned off or you have to respond with your own video
it will be interesting to see what happens to those that disagree with her views - SgtBeavis, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Perhaps Michelle makes a valid point. I've frequented Digg from the moment I ran across it. (Shame on me for not keeping track of Kevin Rose's work) My perception is that alot of the dugg stories to seem to have a leftward slant. Personally I don't really have a problem with that because Digg is the primary place I get technology news, not political news. However, I imagine that will soon change :0
I might not subscribe to many of the political leanings of my fellow geeks, nerds, and techies, but we all seem to have an interest in the technological advancement of our fellow humans and keeping government hands off of the internet. I hope we do see more conservative geeks on these pages. Heck, I hope we see alot more people of any political leaning. Digg is a good thing. The more it gets dugg, the better it gets. - poldog, on 10/12/2007, -7/+8Why don't you radical liberals go look up the history of liberalism.
Malkin, Limbaugh, and the rest of us wingnuts are traditional Liberals. We are conservative in that we want to keep the Declaration of Independence's promise of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Radical liberals like Kerry, Clinton, Murtha, etc, want to impose socialism so that none of the "little people" can ever rise above their low station in life. Radical liberals are slave traders. - Filmbook, on 10/12/2007, -8/+9Finally, a conservative view point in the belly of the liberal beast; Michelle is great, and I’m glad she has a voice here. And John Kerry a war hero?? Right....
Keep up the good fight Michelle... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If you gotz hate in yer hart let it out!
- bob505, on 10/12/2007, -8/+8Michelle rocks!
- andrewrosh, on 10/12/2007, -7/+7Has this been buried?
114 diggs in 13 hrs. vs. a homepager (on lefty George Lakoff) with 93 diggs in 20 hours.
Keep signing up for accounts and digging away. Eventually we will establish balance. - honestlib, on 10/12/2007, -5/+5Yep. Thanks to the Digg button she's putting on each of her whackjob blog entries, every one of her posts has been dugg so far. And hopeflly, every one is getting buried on the basis of lameness.
- appleann1, on 10/12/2007, -8/+8Michelle is my first read every day.
- inactive, on 01/05/2009, -0/+0No one is forcing religion on you. Liberals want their religion forced upon us via social reconstruction. Use of the tax code and environmentalism is where they start.
- inactive, on 01/05/2009, -0/+0@outership,
Indeed there are a lot of us out here so keep Digging! - tpach06, on 10/12/2007, -7/+7Michelle is the number one blogger in my book. This was a GREAT idea! Keep up the good work Michelle!
- Redcard24, on 10/12/2007, -8/+8Count me in as a Malkin fan.
- hipnerd, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4I'm enjoying how my comments are getting modded down without anyone attempting to engage in meaningful dialogue. I have tried to be respectful in stating my opinion, but it seems that simply having a differing opinion is enough to get you modded down and that's a shame.
- AdAstra22001, on 10/12/2007, -8/+8Dugg. Michelle Malkin is an excellent political writer with a genius for pointing out the distortions, lies and hypocrisy of the Loony Left;from moonbats and libtard myrmidons to the standard DNC hacks. The fact that brainwashed nutters like Roguecop squeak so shrilly shows how well she nails them.
- rebrad, on 10/12/2007, -7/+7Really, digg sets the default to only seeing comments with -4 or above. Unfortunately most comments worthy of reading are well below the -4 threshold. Great way to promote diversity huh. Anyway welcome, we need something besides the "effete corps of impudent snobs" or the smugs as some others call them.
- thotpoizn, on 10/12/2007, -11/+10Now, all you brand new users who joined digg just for this thread... Well, first off - welcome! Nice to see a little balance coming onto the scene. Be sure and check out the "friends" feature, and add some people to your friends list. This lets you see which articles your friends are digging, what they are commenting on, etc. Nifty stuff, make good use of it! :)
- Roguecop, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3OK, it's another way of saying 'lunatic' then.
So now I know, thanks... - MadMonk67, on 10/12/2007, -6/+5"It doesn't fly too well with people smart enough to see through it..."
LMFAO@Roguecop. Those who brag to people how intelligent they are usually aren't as smart as they think they are. - Aidenag, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Digg users are the Mods you halfwit.. dont like it convince more of your neocon buddies to join like this lady did.. But ill let you in on somthing first.. The majority of your type, dont use the Net... Hence why conservative blogs are all Ranked WELL below the Liberal ones if you go do a search on alexa.com for traffic rankings..
sick and tired of conservtives blaming Digg for a lack of Conservative commentary.. although it does show just how ignorant the conservatives that frequent digg are... - rndivin, on 10/12/2007, -14/+12This is great! I'm in and proud to be conservative, thoughtful, moral and rational. Still learning!
- serpicolugnut, on 10/12/2007, -8/+6I digg Michelle. She rocks.
- craginm, on 10/12/2007, -15/+13Michelle rules!
- jonathan70, on 10/12/2007, -8/+6I dig Michelle. Check out her Vent site videos,
- uttles, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3IF you all would like to see some other features like this, check out http://www.itsmyblog.com
I've got digg, delicious, and reddit links, as well as many syndication links. Use them for your own blogs! - mlarsen, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3except you want the 10 commandments, prayer, and any mention of God removed from government- Please explain that? You want some things you agree with, but not others? You can't have it both ways.
- tuna1, on 10/12/2007, -11/+8It was sarcasm you *****.
I'm suggesting the extremisms that rear from the moonbat-left (no not mainstream liberalism, the off-the-diving board-of-reality, left) are often dugg. Please refer to every conspiracy on 9/11 every thought of, being on the front page. -
