What the hell is a conspiracy theory. I see you all throw that term around all the time and in all sorts of different manners with all sorts of different implied meanings. Problem is it doesn't have all the connotations that you imply. Those have been added after the fact by constant drumming into your minds that anyone who speaks of conspiracy must be speaking solely based on theory because there is no such thing...
*****!
Its time for you morons to start thinking and stop replying in ducktalk. There is such a thing as a conspiracy. Nations are overthrown by them, leaders assassinated, peoples enslaved. Theory implies that there is no evidence, however 9 times out of 10 when I see someone say "Oh, thats just a conspiracy theory" there actually is evidence to back it, thus removing it (by nature) from the domain of theory and into the domain of legitimate conspiracy.
A conspiracy is when 2 or more people decide to collaborate in an effort unbeknown to a 3rd party or parties. That's it. That's all conspiracy means. That means that every time you had your older or younger sibling tell your parents that you were over a friends house studying while you were really out in the woods fingerbanging Mary Jane Rottencrotch, you were committing an act of conspiracy. THERE IS NO THEORY ABOUT IT.
I am sick and tired of seeing people abuse this term that has been designed to discredit rather then actually argue logically. Its a cop out, and a really bad and annoying one at that. Its what you say when you have exhausted that extremely limited argument set you keep locked up in your noggin in case someone should come along and ***** with your imagined reality. An autoimmune response against the far too often unpleasant realities of the world. I understand that you are in denial, I understand why you are in denial. That doesn't make you right, that just makes you the fearful, the ignorant, the apathetic, the loathsome. But that definitely does not make you right.
Why don't you grow up and actually read the article, then research the facts for yourself so that you can come up with a more valid argument. Problem is that anytime someone actually does that, they can't argue, because what they find inexorably leads them down the same rabbit hole we all went down already. ***** gets really weird down that hole. Disturbing as it is however, only the most powerfully ignorant and blind come away from it unchanged. - gONZObLISS, on 02/12/2008, -10/+72Say MexiAmeriCana everyone--good boys and girls, now go back to sleep. What's going on here? - Napoleone, on 02/12/2008, -5/+51Believing a conspiracy is not itself a conspiracy. And many people fail to distiguish a "conspiracy" from an "agenda".
The CFR has an open but discreet agenda to see the world governed by an aristocracy. Given the fact that Rockefeller is unelected, yet has an incredible ability to mold our government's policies, I'd say he and the CFR have to a large extent succeeded in their goal.
What they've yet to succeed in is in uniting Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. But they're working on it, so don't fall asleep. - artemus, on 02/12/2008, -4/+48Wait a minute, Vault you're saying that David Rockefeller is a leader? He's a banker. How does a private banker get so much influence over a nation's affairs? And why is he meeting with private bankers, and Federal Reserve officials, and not the President?
- magoghm, on 02/12/2008, -4/+46Wikipedia has a very detailed entry for David Rockefeller: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Rockefeller
Some interesting bits:
An early connection he developed in the 1950s was with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). As well as knowing Allen Dulles and his brother John Foster Dulles — who was an in-law of the family - since his college years, it was in Room 3603 in Rockefeller Center that Allen Dulles had set up his WWII operational center after Pearl Harbor, liaising closely with MI6 which also had their principal U.S. operation in the Center. He also knew and associated with the former CIA director Richard Helms, as well as Archibald Roosevelt, Jr., a Chase Bank employee and former CIA agent, whose cousin was the CIA agent, Kermit Roosevelt, Jr., involved in the Iran coup of 1953. Also, in 1953, he had befriended William Bundy, a pivotal CIA analyst for nine years in the 1950s, who became the Agency liaison to the National Security Council, and a subsequent lifelong friend. Moreover, in Cary Reich's biography of his brother Nelson, a former CIA agent states that David was extensively briefed on covert intelligence operations by himself and other Agency division chiefs, under the direction of David's "friend and confidant", CIA Director Allen Dulles.
In November 1979, while chairman of the Chase Bank, Rockefeller became embroiled in an international incident when he and Henry Kissinger, along with John J. McCloy and Rockefeller aides, persuaded President Jimmy Carter through the United States Department of State to admit the Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, into the United States for hospital treatment for lymphoma. This action directly precipitated what is known as the Iran hostage crisis and placed Rockefeller under intense media scrutiny (particularly from The New York Times) for the first time in his public life.
In 1965, Rockefeller and other senior businessmen formed the Council of the Americas to stimulate and support economic integration in the Americas. The Council subsequently played a key role in the passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). In 1992, at a Council sponsored forum, Rockefeller proposed a "Western Hemisphere free trade area", which subsequently became the Free Trade Area of the Americas in a Miami summit in 1994.
Some positions held/institutions founded during his lifetime: Chairman/Honorary Chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations (Chairman: (1970-1985); Founder and Chairman/Honorary Chairman of the Council of the Americas (1963-); Class A Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York; Bohemian Club, San Francisco — Rockefeller and his son, David Jr., are members of the Stowaway Camp in the Bohemian Grove. - kronzdigg, on 02/12/2008, -16/+58we need RON PAUL!
- odigity, on 02/12/2008, -3/+41The conversation usually goes like this:
A: "evidence evidence evidence"
B: "tin foil hats! ha ha ha!"
A: "um... more evidence"
B: "ha ha conspiracy theory anal probe!"
A: "historical background"
B: "this guy is nutty, bro! get out of the basement!"
So, who's crazy - those who seek truths that may be scary, but are backed by evidence, or those who blindly follow authority and ignore the facts? - jaymzdean, on 02/12/2008, -4/+38"I don't believe in conspiracy theories"
People are brought up on conspiracy charges every day in this country.

What you're really saying is that you don't believe the most powerful people in the world would ever conspire. An irrational belief, fueled by wishful/fearful thinking. Keeps you comfortable, but naive and vulnerable to a good ass raping. - inactive, on 02/12/2008, -7/+38Zeitgeist...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGl8HnH29MU - inactive, on 02/12/2008, -0/+22Many people cannot handle hearing the truth or reading it. This has nothing to with intelligence IQ- it has to do with people are used to spin, propaganda and out right lies, full on corruption and deception. When hit with the truth- they just go blank for a minuted, then react with panic rhetoric and immature labels such as Conspiracy theorist, Tin-foil hatter, and other useless slang.
People do not want to think American is fascist, and worse they will not see the truth right front of their eyes as they will wait until their government explains to them (via media) what they are seeing- armed with this information they instinctively attack anyone with an opposing view to render them irrelevant.
The center doesn't hold and eventually falls apart because the truth always finds its way out- which is what is happening right now. Most of the indoctrinated are beginning to deprogram and should be left alone to come to the acceptance of truth. Its very similar to people who get out of Scientology.
I feel tremendous pity for individuals who are just starting to wake up- and I have no patience for those who are trying to keep their fellows asleep. - nonrate, on 02/12/2008, -3/+24People have been brainwashed to believe "conspiracy theory" equates to "lunacy" when there have been plenty of conspiracies proven as true, even some that were uncovered from a beginning "theory". There's nothing wrong with considering a conspiracy theory, in fact it demonstrates advanced intellect to recognize suspicious patterns of behavior. If we are to dismiss activities that raise suspicion because it appears the results are "too hard to believe" than your a fool. That means, your easily fooled. Gullible. As for this meeting, I don't necessarily see anything nefarious about it other than the fact people like Rockefeller and Spitzer share some levels of economic control. The Mexican President may feel he will get more accomplished speaking with these people, after all, it's no conspiracy the corporate America controls Washington, not the people. Regarding Mexicos "concern" that we are losing friends, what a joke. Mexico is one of the most inhumane and corrupt nations on the planet. It's like Al Capone reaching out to be friends because we pissed everyone in the world off. Do we want that? I honestly don't blame the illegals for wanting to cross over, nor am I for building a fence or exporting them. That's right. The problem with illegals is our laws, the laws that divert our communist program monies like welfare and medical care to them and preferential treatments such as no requirement for a social security number for a bank account, and leniency on laws you and I would be criminals for. There's plenty of documented evidence about this if one is not lazy and actually does the leg work. 60 Minutes won't do it for you, nor will the National Enquirer or it's sister, Fox News.

- GhostyBoy, on 02/12/2008, -0/+16Who the ***** do you know who is wealthier than David ***** Rockefeller? Seriously, man, do you have any idea how rich that guy is? Operating a countries central banking system is richer than you can possibly imagine. And let's not forget that his family owned Standard Oil at the turn of the century, which eventually bought out every major oil company in the States. And he's one of the shareholders in the federal reserve.

It is impossible indeed to prevent such meetings, by any law which either could be executed, or would be consistent with liberty and justice. But though the law cannot hinder people of the same trade from sometimes assembling together, it ought to do nothing to facilitate such assemblies; much less to render them necessary."
Adam Smith - odigity, on 02/12/2008, -1/+14That's preposterous. There's nothing anti-semitic in Zeitgeist (http://zeitgeistmovie.com). In fact, the first third attempts to debunk all religion. :)
And just because something makes Jewish people or Israelies not look good, doesn't make it not true. I'm Jewish, with lots of family in Israel, but I disagree with much, and suspect more. Just like here in the US - I'm an American, but I disagree with American policy and past actions.
The term 'anti-semitic', accusing people of being racist, and other such methods are almost always employed to chill free speech, rather than point out true injustice. It sickens me. - gerbco, on 02/12/2008, -5/+18Maybe he's just interested in getting a kick ass guacamole recipe for his next super bowl party.

- Herostratus, on 02/12/2008, -0/+11OMFG you are so one track minded. - ReadItAndWeep, on 02/12/2008, -0/+11Our country was started by a conspiracy against the King of England. It shouldn't come as a surprise that powerful people meet with each other to discuss future plans, sometimes for the general good and sometimes not. I hope you are not naive enough to think that our government is totally transparent and is always working in the common people's interests.
- Napoleone, on 02/12/2008, -1/+12You're either extremely naive or willfully stupid. Wall Street doesn't do conspiracies. Investment bankers study the issues very carefully before investing their clients' money. This guy is not going to damage the reputation of his company by discussing a non-existent market. Open your goddamn eyes.
And the issue is not necessarily eventual unity, the issue is: Unity under what terms? Have you had a voice in this proposed union? Have I? Has anyone here had a voice in how it comes about and how it would be configured? If you have no voice, you have no way of guaranteeing your rights.
Stop pretending you support democracy, when it's clear you favor aristocracy. - AAjax, on 02/12/2008, -0/+10The Obama people seem not to care, as the MSM has said he's OK and about change. I mean, they have never lied to us before?!!?!??

Too bad - GhostyBoy, on 02/12/2008, -3/+13I like Ron Paul, and he's putting up a good fight, but there is no need to oversimplify things here.
What we need is to constantly and relentlessly take action against the enemies of freedom. Expose them at every turn, put people in power who aren't corrupted and change the system from the inside. There has already been massive progress. Without whistle blowers and people using their voices all over the country we might have been in the midst of nuclear war with Iran by now. - AnarkeIncarnate, on 02/12/2008, -2/+12Can we have a change of guard without real change of substance? To answer the question, Rockefeller is high up in the international banking cartels, has stock in the federal reserve, and was one of the main people behind the U.N., the tri-lateral commission and the CFR. He has power and an agenda, it's just a simple fact. - wakananda, on 02/12/2008, -0/+10There is debate amongst elites as to whether the world ought to be forcibly sodomized against it's will *with* Crisco or *without* Crisco. Zbignew is a wonderful guy, because he's leading the charge for global anal rape *with* Crisco. Ask yourself: do you believe in government of the People, by the People and for the People, or are you just pinning your hopes on a reach-around?
- magoghm, on 02/12/2008, -2/+12Exactly. There are some very powerful people who have an agenda. More people should know who they are and what their agenda is. Then they can decide if they are for or against that agenda.
