- Minarchian, on 01/03/2008, -3/+50I guess McCain thinks "***** Iraq" means "I love Iraq".
- PSWTyrant, on 01/03/2008, -3/+42I'll be generous and guess that McCain spends time talking to suck-up officers, not to the troops who are risking their asses every day they are there.
- Strongo, on 01/03/2008, -4/+33this was great, I wish there was more
- Unixed, on 01/03/2008, -6/+34***** Iraq!
- lebreezy, on 01/03/2008, -5/+27Paul and ***** IRAQ 08'
- franklymister, on 01/03/2008, -0/+16Direct link to YouTube, since the site is down
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xF_ZjhLd5Jo
(just link directly next time - I know it's nice to get ad revenue for your site, but YouTube tends to stay up a bit stronger under the Digg effect)
(P.S. Have you ever submitted anything from any site other than defiedreality?) - inactive, on 01/03/2008, -2/+16If you can't raise funds from people who support you, isn't that a good indicator of how your campaign is going?
- trevxenemy, on 01/03/2008, -4/+17indeed, sir. i thought it was hilarious.
- Unixed, on 01/03/2008, -2/+15I am typing this from a DOD computer. I have been active duty for 4 years now and I can honestly say, ***** IRAQ!
Oh ya, ***** McCain too. - jaymzdean, on 01/03/2008, -3/+15McCain is a soul whore. He's dead inside.
- trevxenemy, on 01/03/2008, -0/+11I totally didn't expect this to get popular, haha. The site shouldn't go down anymore, guys. I apologize for that.
and @ you haters:
I have about 20 friends serving in Iraq, and my best friend just returned: according to them, they don't know anyone who supports McCain - about 90% support Ron Paul, and then a few support Obama. - mcool119, on 01/03/2008, -1/+9Maybe if everything he's said about it; ***** like "Baghdad is so safe that an American can walk around anywhere freely, in no danger" and "Petraeus drives around Baghdad in an unarmed Humvee"; wasn't such out-and-out laughable *****, he'd get a bit more respect from them.
- ispshadow, on 01/03/2008, -0/+88 years AD this week.
***** Iraq. The only people I'm hearing in my hallways that are supporting the war are the 60 yr old civilians/contractors. MAYBE one or two troops but NONE that have already done a tour over there though. I don't know anybody that came back that still supported the war.
I'd say ***** McCain but I have to show a tiny bit of respect for POWs. I don't care for him at all. Not even a little. - shadash, on 01/03/2008, -8/+16***** Iraq
- twatwaffler, on 01/03/2008, -1/+9I have plenty of family and friends in the military who have been to Iraq or are currently there. Not a single one I can think of supports the war or McCain.
- adamsdarin, on 01/03/2008, -1/+9I am currently in the military, and I also agree ***** Iraq if we wanted to catch the terrorists we would be in Pakistan, and Afghanistan but we wouldn't want that now would we. That might actually mean the end of this Illegal War.
Specialist Adams - franklymister, on 01/03/2008, -6/+13Actually, wait a minute. Not one of the soldiers in this video had anything at all to say about McCain. All they did was say "***** Iraq" a few times.
Buried as inaccurate.
Also buried because the person who made the video chose to use soldiers as a propaganda tool. ***** that.
I'd like to hear from any active duty military on Digg about what they think of McCain. Not from someone that edited a video to his own liking. - erasedgod, on 01/03/2008, -1/+8He's a ***** tool.
- adamsdarin, on 01/03/2008, -0/+7I agree with you Unixed. Ive been active duty for 3 years now will be heading back over after a 16 month tour last year for another 15 months here in October.
***** Iraq
***** McCain
and ***** Stop Loss
Specialist Adams - vinwal, on 01/03/2008, -0/+6I don't doubt McCain's sincerity that the troops he dined with for Thanksgiving expressed that they wanted to stay in Iraq and win. However I believe it was a carefully scripted event to make sure that Sen. McCain did not have any interaction with the majority of U.S. troops that don't want to be there. I would also tend to think that these troops he did interact with were probably career soldiers who would not know what to do if there wasn't a conflict somewhere. I wouldn't even put it past the propaganda machine to have staged these so-called troops with U.S. taxpayer funded mercenaries.
- manicmarvin, on 01/03/2008, -5/+11It warms my heart to think that my great-great-grandchilrdren will be paying interest on loans John McCain took out in order to build schools, hospitals and power plants in Iraq. ***** him and the chimp he rode in on.
- arcticblue, on 01/03/2008, -0/+5I did two tours as a Marine. ***** that place. If this is your first deployment, you'll quickly see exactly how pointless it is and exactly how little progress is being made.
- inactive, on 01/03/2008, -4/+8Wow! And they represent EVERY soldier!
- becknell, on 01/03/2008, -0/+4I'm an active duty Marine and I don't have a single friend that supports the war nor do I know a single McCain supporter. I do agree that the video looks like it was just put together without the permission of the soldiers there and perhaps that's wrong but overall I agree with the message that McCain shouldn't be just making up things like he does.
- ZeroIce, on 01/03/2008, -0/+3Hopefully our soldiers' absentee ballots will be counted correctly and fairly in our corrupt voting system we have here in America.
Wait, are there absentee ballots in the primaries? If not, lets make sure Ron Paul makes it to the general election! - vuke69, on 01/03/2008, -0/+3***** you Frank.
- BlacklabelSAR, on 01/03/2008, -0/+3There is only one Republican candidate who has a chance at beating the Dems, and it isn't McCain.
- mattsw84, on 01/03/2008, -0/+3I am in the military and have been to your pointless war. Professional soldiers simply do not see things the same as a civilian we have an entirely different perspective of things.
- thejokker, on 01/03/2008, -0/+3For his part he could always ask his kids, he is one of the few politicians whose children serve
His son John Sidney IV ("Jack") is enrolled in the U.S. Naval Academy,[21] and his son James enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2006, began recruit training later that year,[179] and by the end of 2007 was stationed in Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.[21] - stevenb486, on 01/03/2008, -1/+4"ive been there, and they told me, let us win john, let us win!"
- crazycracker911, on 01/03/2008, -0/+3People with half a brain cell can see that(not talking about the troops). Why can't everybody else?Maybe they think their brain is too big and full of superior intellect to bother with petty issues such as the weakening of our dollar caused from fractional reserve banking, or perhaps the subverting of our constitutional rights. I'm so tired of these self-serving intellectuals thinking their skewed pragmatic view of geo-politics or civil liberties(or anything else for that matter) is infallible.Go read some more books(i won't tell you which ones because your smart enough to find them;)),or listen to some people that have a vested interest to tell the truth.Whatever it is, just do it.Get back at me.later.Ron Paul'08
- Ananda725, on 01/03/2008, -0/+3Colmes?
/sarcasm... - Fordi, on 01/03/2008, -0/+3"John McCain can also say whatever he likes when he likes hes earned it"
No, I'm pretty certain that he, like ay other human, should stick to facts and personal opinions. I know enough current soldiers to know: most of them don't like admitting it, but our troops are under the impression Iraq was a stupid decision made by a stupid man. - arcticblue, on 01/03/2008, -0/+3I agree. I did two tours over there and noticed the exact same thing you did with the exception that the contractors (my age ones at least) hated being over there too...but they all made over $150k a year over there.
I got out after my second tour. ***** Iraq. - twatwaffler, on 01/03/2008, -0/+3Here you go. The link to the original video was posted in this comment...
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Message_to_John_ ... - thejokker, on 01/03/2008, -0/+3active duty Marine heading out on deployment soon...
to be honest who would rather be in iraq than home? do you expect war to be so 'fun' that guys say I LOVE IT? and when someone is making a video and asking people to say "***** Iraq" its easy to jump on the bandwagon and think, 'hmm its hot, im away from my family and people shoot at us... yeah i would rather be home."
Just consider that. - GorfTron, on 01/03/2008, -1/+4Sean Hannity said we need to win this war. Who can disagree with him?
- smharmon1, on 01/03/2008, -3/+5Now, I'm no psychiatrist, mind you, but I think McCain is pert near crazy. One day he likes Bushes, the next day he hates them. On some days, we're winning the war, on others we've got to keep fighting it. And then on others, he's a maverick riding roughshod over that bureaucratic wasteland known as Washington, telling those cable-company magnates where to stick all their money and beating down those lobbyists with a money belt. And my oh my does he love to give it to our southern neighbors: bring 'em on, run that border, we'll show you! Take that, Walmart, and Viacom, and DixieLand, and Connecticut. This maverick reformer is plum near crazy. A real reformer.
- franklymister, on 01/03/2008, -0/+2Digg for all the comments from active duty military - the only people I want to hear from when it comes to the opinion of the active duty military.
- stephbangm, on 01/03/2008, -0/+2The REAL John McCain:
"I hated the gooks. I will hate them as long as I live." - John McCain, R-Ariz.
Yeah, let's get this racist into office (sarcasm). - erasedgod, on 01/03/2008, -0/+2You going out on R1? I was scheduled to go next week with my det, but I got chopped to go on a float instead.
- erasedgod, on 01/03/2008, -1/+3I didn't see anyone make that claim, did you?
- BlacklabelSAR, on 01/03/2008, -0/+2"2 'random' McCain smear stories on one page. You know someone must be doing well in the polls suddenly." Except that he isn't. Other candidates who "have no chance" are now ahead of him.
- thejokker, on 01/03/2008, -0/+2For his part he could always ask his kids, he is one of the few politicians whose children serve
His son John Sidney IV ("Jack") is enrolled in the U.S. Naval Academy,[21] and his son James enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2006, began recruit training later that year,[179] and by the end of 2007 was stationed in Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.[21] - AustinMandi, on 01/03/2008, -0/+2He'll get my respect when he upholds the oath of his office.
- AustinMandi, on 01/03/2008, -0/+2If he really cared about the troops he would vote to bring them home immediately and put a stop to our soldiers being used as cannon fodder fighting unconstitutional wars.
- franklymister, on 01/03/2008, -0/+2Why is he getting dugg down? He's just summarizing 80% of the comments on this thread.
- cusoman, on 01/03/2008, -1/+3"Make love to Iraq"
- 2trkpony, on 01/23/2008, -0/+2LOL
that sure sez it all...
well, almost..
This revealing video gives crystal clear indication of just what the freedom fighting "Operation Iraqi Liberating" U.S. government administration alongside corporate business partners Halliburton / KBR think of their loyal troops & service people who put their lives on the line for their country: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=chXjCtkymRQ
:o(
John "100 more years in Iraq" McCain loves war so much, he openly promotes shipping other peoples children & loved ones off to Iraq overseas to fight & die in the desert for a fraudulent, sham of a horrific war, why doesn't he just get his ass over there himself, fight those 'terrorits" on the front lines?? After all, he believes his war is 'necessary' right. Why the hesitation to enlist yourself or one of your seven children in your 'necessary' war, Mr McCain? - thejokker, on 01/03/2008, -0/+2are we in the same unit? IM me if you want
