- inactive, on 04/12/2009, -9/+85And so it begins! The youthful Meghan will have a strong rise, propagated by her ability to "tell it like it is" with a winning smile and famous name. She'll receive accolades and attention and write a daily column that will eventually get syndicated around the country. As she enters middle age, she'll decide commentating on the state of politics isn't enough, that she needs to "get involved." So she'll run for office and win, due to the fact that she'll be replacing a Congressman that was retiring, and thus will run essentially unopposed in a heavily-Republican state. After several years in office, trying to change the way Washington works, she'll decide that she has Presidential aspirations, and begin an earnest campaign, citing her ability to "go against the Washington elite" and speaking as a "voice of the common man." Unfortunately, the party is none too happy with her lack of cooperation and her criticism of their policies, such as courting the ever-present Evangelical vote. Fearing that she'll be stonewalled, she opts to take their advice and works with their handpicked campaign manager, as well as a staff from the National Headquarters. Unfortunately, as the campaign wears on, she becomes increasingly aware that her values have to be compromised in the name of political expedience. So she cuts corners and starts to do insubstantial interviews with short, terse answers. Longtime supporters will wonder why she seems to be going against the grain of her lifelong goals and ambitions to change the environment in D.C. Finally, during the run up to the election, she will have a dull-witted governor from Alaska foisted upon her. He'll seem folksy, and thus will connect with the "average American," her campaign adviser tells her, so she continues to compromise her values and wishes for her office. SNL will find that a former cast member looks strikingly similar to the VP pick, and the show will once again be revitalized by a goofy political figure and their satirizing doppelganger. In a last ditch effort, she'll appear with her VP choice on the show the weekend prior to the election, trying to seem funny and carefree about the outcome, but we'll see the shame and humiliation in her eyes. After she is defeated soundly by her opponent, an upstart black Congresswoman from the Midwest, she'll return to her roots and try to negate the past year of campaigning by being the person she always wanted to be, and to once again try to change Washington for the better. The American public will look up in awe and wonder, "Why didn't I see THAT Meghan McCain during the election?" And she'll fade, quietly, into the shadows.
- Bhima, on 04/12/2009, -18/+85Meghan comes off being rational and reasonable.
Clearly she has no real future in the Republican Party. Of course, she could sell her soul and embrace teh crazy but I don't think that would work for her any better than it did for her dad. - BigBalledOX, on 04/12/2009, -7/+62She's cute in a "vapid, self-centered, thinks-she's-more-important-than-she-really-is-and-wants-you-to-know-it" sort of way. I'd certainly hit it, but I wouldn't be sticking around for breakfast, know what I mean?
- alleged, on 04/12/2009, -9/+59That apparently is the most important criteria for selecting the next generation of GOP leadership.
- IMHydrogen, on 04/12/2009, -10/+55“Finding young, female Republicans willing to speak out these days is not easy,” says former McCain strategist Mark McKinnon.
that's because there are no young, female republicans. - normlsparky, on 04/12/2009, -7/+48The GOP has seen the future of their party, and it terrifies them.
- Bhima, on 04/12/2009, -5/+46Thanks for proving my point Meghan is clearly is *not* liberal. She have never expressed any ideology which comes completely within the American Liberal fold.
However by not embracing teh crazy, she gets branded "Liberal" by teh crazies. Clearly she has no real future in the Republican party.
Perhaps in the future there will be a party coalescing around reasonable and rational conservative values... and she will chose to be a part of that party. - C0ntraRadical, on 04/12/2009, -0/+34Now listen, I'm a straight, liberal guy, but even I can admit McCain was kind of a stud when he was younger.
http://canaanbound.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/mcc ... - diskoh, on 04/12/2009, -6/+40Sure there are. You can spot them because they have backwards B's on their faces.
- bicyclethief, on 04/13/2009, -5/+38Wait. Your dad aside... Who the ***** are you again?
- PixelMagic, on 04/13/2009, -1/+28What if there was bacon?
- Anth, on 04/13/2009, -1/+23Depends..
Yes: http://www.babble.com/CS/blogs/strollerderby/2009/ ...
Absolutely not: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/photos/uncategoriz ... - tripwire45, on 04/13/2009, -1/+22Kinda makes me wish my Dad had lost the Presidential election so I would be offered a six-figure book deal. ;-)
- kingofinternet, on 04/13/2009, -3/+23'crashing' the party?
her daddy is senator mccain. she was brought to the party on a silver platter.
nepotism. - feelmypimphand, on 04/13/2009, -4/+22Future Miss Bang Bus 2009
- OfNumbers, on 04/12/2009, -2/+20Whose ass is she kicking? Twitters?
“My cab driver is totally vibing me out,” Meghan McCain Twittered to her online devotees Thursday evening. “Just asked me if my cheekbones are real? Wtf, u can have fake cheekbones???”
Ahh, the advantageous strife of the both politically elite and financially elite. - StayPuft85, on 04/13/2009, -4/+22Meh, she only gets attention because she is hot. Thats it.
I HAVE BEEN SENT TO STATE THE OBVIOUS - feelmypimphand, on 04/13/2009, -6/+21I'd hit it.
- MrColdheart, on 04/12/2009, -18/+33She's a Progressive Conservative and she's gorgeous.
- topgigmedia, on 04/13/2009, -2/+16Makes sense because Palin terrifies me.
- Hetman, on 04/13/2009, -0/+14Hillary and Rice. It happens with male politicians also. I mean how many times did I hear Al gore is a robot? 30,40 thousand times during the election. And how often did we hear OMG look at Edwards he is so charming.
- yerdaddy, on 04/13/2009, -2/+15WTF is this garbage?
- Hetman, on 04/13/2009, -2/+15I do not beleive in her conservitve idea's but she seems way more intellegent that Palin. Which is good for everyone even the GOP. Really Palin set back the Republicans more than just about anything else.
- ZenMojo, on 04/13/2009, -4/+17Clearly. Neither would I. I'd prefer my own.
- aduzik, on 04/13/2009, -3/+15She's the Paris Hilton of political celebrity: famous only because her daddy is powerful.
- chuckDontSurf, on 04/13/2009, -3/+15FTA: "For the rest of my life, people are going to want to learn what happened to me on the campaign"
How depressing. First off, no they're not; no one cares about the losers. Second, hopefully you'll have more important things to discuss 15 years from now. You know, things that you've actually done with your own life? - kgibby, on 04/12/2009, -13/+25"'I think part of what makes Meghan interesting is that she actually isn’t scripted at all,' says McKinnon (former McCain strategist.'
Asked about her reluctance to talk about her father’s former running mate, McCain said: 'I feel at this point, I don’t feel censored at all. Not discussing Palin is a personal preference.'
But McCain is mum about Palin now; a Daily Beast spokesman went so far as to warn POLITICO — repeatedly — against asking McCain about the Alaska governor."
Hmmmm - AndrewMoyer, on 04/13/2009, -0/+11Is that a vibrator at the bottom of the first picture?
- MrColdheart, on 04/12/2009, -3/+14continued from above.^
Then she emerges from the shadows with a bud light. She offers you 1 of from her 6 pack and says "Don't worry ,I ownz it" - NJank, on 04/13/2009, -1/+12bacon changes everything.
- Anth, on 04/13/2009, -0/+11Photoshopped PR photos vs reality? Or maybe she went on a diet, who knows.
- ThsGuyRightHere, on 04/13/2009, -0/+10And so it is that the GOP's base continues to chart a course for failure. As long as the whackjobs continue to label everyone whose ideology sits to the left of theirs as a liberal then they'll continue to get trounced. Here's a hint guys: the majority of the population are moderates who won't be guilted into thinking they're "not conservative enough" and have to try harder.
- xsecretfiles, on 04/13/2009, -5/+15http://www.babble.com/CS/blogs/strollerderby/2009/ ...
nice ***** ;) - xexx, on 04/13/2009, -0/+10In the butt?
- protogenxl, on 04/13/2009, -0/+10What What?
- inactive, on 04/13/2009, -0/+10Obviously you've never been to the south or midwest.
- Gguillorn, on 04/13/2009, -0/+9Damn. Didn't expect that. If a younger McCain had run with a younger Palin they would have been unstoppable.
- seanstuart, on 04/13/2009, -0/+9Beware the power of make-up and photoshop.
- jsuther, on 04/13/2009, -0/+9What is a progressive conservative? Socially liberal and fiscally conservative?
- WhiskeyLemur, on 06/30/2009, -0/+8....And her VP will bear an uncanny resemblance to Will Ferrell....
- partysan, on 04/13/2009, -1/+9You're right. Your pants probably are smarter than you.
- stopbrorape, on 04/13/2009, -2/+10***** brilliant, must have taken along time to write that.

- inactive, on 04/13/2009, -4/+11She's got a nice rack.
- inactive, on 04/13/2009, -2/+9Socially Liberal + Fiscally Conservative = Libertarian.
- Unreal030, on 04/13/2009, -0/+7or old school Republican. Personally, I feel the Libertarians take it a bit too far sometimes on a few things for me to want to be tagged as one. Generally speaking though I don't have an issue with them.
- FredFredrickson, on 04/13/2009, -6/+12Young republicans are worse than the old ones - at least we can write off all the backward policies of the elder conservatives to coming from a different time. The younger ones are just plain stupid.
- Unreal030, on 04/13/2009, -1/+7The same thing that the Republicans used to stand for....before the neocons and religious nuts corrupted it....so generally speaking, yes.
- donkevin, on 04/13/2009, -0/+6This is the internet; you can swear here.
