Media Defends McCain on Houses: It’s Not ‘A Huge Deal'

thinkprogress.org — Some in the media are leaping to defend McCain, either by justifying or downplaying his comment on not remembering the no. of houses he owns. Unfortunately, these reporters are ignoring an obvious and glaring reality that McCain is running a campaign of the rich, by the rich, and for the rich.

    If I remember correctly, 501c4 organizations are tax exempt as long as they don't engage in political campaign activities (ref. http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-tege/eotopicl03.pdf). Why should those crooks be tax exempt?
