- mlssls, on 07/26/2008, -12/+108the cognitive dissonance between stealing elections and maintaining propaganda networks on the one hand and sacrificing american lives to spread liberty and democracy on the other is absolutely stunning.
- seltaeb4, on 07/26/2008, -11/+103Everyone's known this from Day One.
At least they finally admitted it! - Hangly, on 07/26/2008, -7/+74Rupert Murdoch already admitted as much.
- muckemuck, on 07/26/2008, -12/+79"Fair and Balanced" my ass. FOX is propaganda and nothing more.
- avrygoodfrnd, on 07/26/2008, -12/+76When you need something to laugh at, watch Hannity and Colmes
- flailking, on 07/26/2008, -9/+67To quote Mr. O'Reilly
"In short, we're fair. Our high ratings prove that."
OHHHREALLLY - PhrosTT, on 07/26/2008, -8/+52whatever...
fact of the matter is half of america is ***** retarded and will never wake up as long as they have Jesus, guns, and walmart. - inactive, on 07/26/2008, -5/+45I think it proves that most of the citizens of this country changed their citizenship to the Republic of ***** in 2004.
- halfwayentropy, on 07/26/2008, -3/+31...and rather than impeachment, all we get from congress is "hearings on the limits of executive power."
- pcfunk, on 07/26/2008, -6/+34NPR is the only news I can stand
- Gutterpunk, on 07/26/2008, -4/+27Maybe, but not because Obama asked them, unlike Fox.
Big difference. - grungegbunny, on 07/26/2008, -6/+29Burried for Huf... oh erm..
Dugg! - swrostmore, on 07/26/2008, -2/+24Right-wing commenters on Digg.com enjoy parroting talking points they heard on Fox News, who were themselves parroting talking points they got from the White House. It just goes to show how intellectually bankrupt the right-wing is in the USA, propaganda all the way down the line and no original thinking whatsoever.
- homercles337, on 07/26/2008, -2/+23NPR is the only news that is neutral and unbiased. Probably the last source of media that still believes in the Fairness Doctrine.
- krnldmp, on 07/26/2008, -1/+20Not true. Most people who trust Fox news have never heard there is any reason not to.
Ideally they could tell on their own, of course, but for a good many Americans it would take a great deal of convincing for them to even access the idea that anything American could be feeding them a healthy dose of propaganda. Its a serious problem. - Sandtiger, on 07/26/2008, -1/+20Personally if Im out on a date and she turns on fox news I end the date right there.
- maj0rm0j0, on 07/26/2008, -4/+23We've always known about The FakeNews Network. Thanks for sticking your neck out now that you have nothing at stake Mr. McClellan.
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -1/+19They didn't get dubbed "Faux News" for nothin but watching for the right wing drones to try and spin this one as well. :)
The fourth estate died long ago. None are innocent and thinking people have known it all along. - homercles337, on 07/26/2008, -3/+20Can you explain how the White House using a media outlet to further its agenda does not deserve sensationalism? This is propaganda and we have strict laws against such in this country. Or have you been watching Faux News too much and forgot? Would you prefer if *all* news came from the state?
- zou136, on 07/26/2008, -4/+21Fox has always been republican friendly if you know what I mean.
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -9/+25Everyone already knows this *****, it is pretty pathetic of us (self included) to finally feel validated when some former right-wing administrator prick starts telling the world what they already knew.
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -7/+23Rachel Maddow: "Be transparent... don't be Pravda"
- stubarwick, on 07/26/2008, -2/+18I still find it strange that anyone actually watches Fox...
with the exception that we watch the highlights of their gaffes....errr intentional deciept - RicardoWilliams, on 07/26/2008, -8/+23Did we really need him to confirm this?
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -3/+18When I need something to get me angry, I watch O'Reilly.
- Aero347, on 07/26/2008, -1/+16it's not 'conspiracy' if it's been carried out.
- maj0rm0j0, on 07/26/2008, -2/+17It was the largest war on the citizenry of America and the world in history by the elite and they all just sat and watch it happen on their televisions.
- bjornski, on 07/26/2008, -1/+16Apparently.
Most FOX viewers refuse to admit it. - mecharabbit, on 07/26/2008, -3/+18Joseph Goebbels would be proud, indeed.
- simplyintricate, on 07/28/2008, -2/+16Heh, I learned in Journalism class that.. the media is supposed to fight corruption in the government. But.. Fox News? Haha.
- gfxluvr, on 07/26/2008, -9/+21Surprise Surprise.
***** you Fox, I hate you even more than I already did. Sad, where we have to live in a country that does these things. Oh what I would give to go back and live colonial America. - bjornski, on 07/26/2008, -1/+13He could only dream of a propaganda program so successful.
- MrTito, on 07/26/2008, -2/+14True, as long as you believe the sacrificing of American lives is to indeed spread liberty and democracy. But if you believe the sacrifice is for the war profiteering of this administration's corporate buddies then it all quaintly and sickeningly makes perfect sense.
- CobaltBlue, on 07/26/2008, -2/+14Wow. I'm surprised the conservatives have finally moved off of Bbbuut but but Clinton!
- hiptrigger, on 07/26/2008, -5/+16Add this to the long, long list of reasons why heads should roll in Washington ... as in we need a ring of guillotines around the base of the Washington monument to process the guilty. Okay, just making a historical comparison - but if these Neocon, Skull & Crossbone, whitey-white rich power mongering bastards keep treating the good citizens of this country and the world as peasants ..then perhaps a chain of events will be set in motion. *wink* *nudge* *know what I mean?* *say no more, say no more...*
- bloomanchoo, on 07/26/2008, -7/+18aka: Dick Cheney (now confirmed)
- PaisleyTeal, on 07/26/2008, -5/+16Pravda, comrades.
- swrostmore, on 07/26/2008, -1/+12They deny Pravda is a State mouthpiece in Russia, too.
- Qumahlin, on 07/26/2008, -1/+11You apparently know nothing about propoganda. You can't be 100% towards your cause; otherwise people pick up on the fact that everything your telling them is biased.
Thats why they keep reminding you you how "Fair and Balanced" they are. - TheSwashbuckler, on 07/26/2008, -3/+13In other news, the sun will rise in the east tomorrow morning...
- onyxcoltrane, on 07/26/2008, -1/+11You would be right at home in the former Soviet Union.
- orangefly, on 07/26/2008, -2/+12"as good a man as Bush"....i don't even know what to say to that....
- LongShlong, on 07/26/2008, -5/+14I'm not shocked.
- Aero347, on 07/26/2008, -2/+11I hear it's nice this time of year..
- LumberingOaf, on 07/26/2008, -2/+11Um, I hate to break this to you, but if you're on a date, and she turns on fox news... you're doing it wrong.
- haydesigner, on 07/26/2008, -1/+10Which is why the White House has made such a concerted effort to even politicize PBS. Really sad.
- sodade, on 07/26/2008, -1/+9These idiots are all over digg lately. They hear about faux news all the time and they don't care. It is called cognitive dissonance. Or maybe these people are just simply *****.
(note, I am all the ***** for having real debates with these people, but as their numbers increase on digg, there are still only a few right wingers that are capable of intelligent discussion.) - LunaticFringe, on 07/26/2008, -1/+9To all the people trying to justify things and defend the Bush Administration and/or FOX News, as well as those who go boo hoo and try to play the free speech card over a lot of the BS being tossed around: The most unpatriotic thing you can do is to let these people continue to do what they've been doing. Regardless of your stances, if you want to be a patriot you have to actually support what makes the United States of America great. The upper class was never meant to lord over the middle and lower classes. The equality of all people was never supposed to be challenged in any way other than to ensure that equality. By doing what they've done, the bodies in question have undermined everything that once made America stand as a beacon of hope and prosperity
That said, what we really need is another Theodore Roosevelt to wrestle the power from the snakes in Washington.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/5/5 ... - xShifty, on 07/26/2008, -2/+10When people actually did ***** when their government ***** with them?
- Qumahlin, on 07/26/2008, -1/+8Fox News is pro Obama? Wow, when was the last time you watched Fox News? I suggest you read up on Rupert Murdoch's personal agenda and feelings. Bush and Co don't control Fox news. Rupert Murdoch does and he just happens to share the same opinions and agenda as Bush and co so it all works out.
