http://www.ldsmag.com/ideas/081017light.html - inactive, on 10/23/2008, -0/+1It is a symbol of Heritage to many people of diverse racial groups, it is also a symbol of hatred to many others. Still yet there are many who could care less one way or the other.
AbuBakerSmith once said " You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time" - ldkronos, on 10/24/2008, -1/+1What is your point? That wasn't McCain's opinion. He just lied and said it was his opinion to try to gain votes, and there is no way to spin it because he later flat out admitted that he did exactly that. So you have the guy that admitted he will say anything to win, 4 years later accusing the other guy of saying anything to win.
Don't you think it's just McCain once again saying anything to win? Fool me twice, can't get fooled again (or something like that). - primaldefense, on 10/23/2008, -2/+2Dugg for being blatently obvious but seemingly ignored by so many ppl.

(joking, incase someone reports me trying to get me banned again) - ldkronos, on 10/24/2008, -1/+1I agree. McCain's motives here are blatantly obvious.
- ldkronos, on 10/24/2008, -1/+1Here's another thought on the matter from a different perspective. Even IF (and that's a big if) Obama were changing his policy to appeal more to the US citizens, how is that so bad. By comparison, remember when McCain announced his new plan to readjust mortgages to market value, and his web site indicated that the lenders would be the ones eating the loss? Then mysteriously 24 hours later, the website was revised to indicate it would be the taxpayer eating the loss?
So given the choice between a guy that tries to please the citizens vs the guy that tries to please the corporations, which one would you pick? - AmericanCulture, on 10/23/2008, -2/+2Say Anything is a code word for black.
- ldkronos, on 10/23/2008, -2/+2Now that I think about it more:
Says the man the man who said "Personally, I see the [confederate] flag as symbol of heritage" and then after losing the primary said ""I believe the flag should be removed from your Capitol" and "I feared that if I answered honestly, I could not win the South Carolina primary. So I chose to compromise my principles."

Ron Howard, Henry Winkler and Andy Griffith recreate their TV roles (Opie, the Fonz, Andy the sheriff) in Obama spot
