- Misinformant, on 08/28/2008, -1/+12Why can't I get a colossal paycheck to say retarded ***** like this?
- inactive, on 04/03/2009, -0/+8I've got a solution, too. Let's not call cancer patients who were denied health care "dead." Let's call them "unlikely to pay their bills."
- N3tw0rk, on 08/28/2008, -0/+7This is what happens when McCain surrounds himself with a bunch of Bush-lovers.
Bush in 2007: "I mean, people have access to health care in America. After all, you just go to an emergency room."
I can't believe half of America voted for this *****. - inactive, on 08/28/2008, -1/+8Scumbag.
What do we expect from the GOP?
These selfish losers have proven again and again they couldn't care less for the American people.
A vote for McCain dooms more Americans to health care poverty.
For example, this Goodman moron carefully failsl to mention that an single ER visit can be thousands of dollars.
My last visit involved spending 30 minutes with a PA. No xrays, no meds, no procedures of any kind, and it came to $2800.
I have good insurance, so it was all covered, but it's ASININE to think that the majority of America can handle fees like that for one visit. This piece of crap advisor to McCain is yet another reason to NEVER vote GOP again.
Just look at the kind of scumbag they employ!
This ***** will deprive you of healthcare.
Vote Obama, at least America has a CHANCE at getting better. - aookay, on 08/28/2008, -0/+6Digg this up! I believe this comment should not fall to the wayside and really get some attention.
- funkyloki, on 08/28/2008, -0/+6Yes, Americans do have ER access, that we have to pay for at astronomical rates, as stated above, while people who aren't Americans have ER access, not that they have to pay for, but that we Americans have to pay for. No, I'm not haranguing people who aren't Americans, I'm deriding the medical industry, insurance industry and government that allow it to work like this.
- inactive, on 08/28/2008, -0/+6The last time I was at the ER I got a $600 for literally some Neosporin and gauze one fateful 4th of July. I had to pay all of it out of my own Pizza Hut salary.
Having ER access is good, though paying for it is usually hideously expensive, and can even ruin you financially.
So guess what Mr. Goodman, I think you can blow the majority of us. - ide3308, on 08/28/2008, -0/+2I wholeheartedly agree.
- stonebear, on 08/28/2008, -1/+3How do you feel about sucking GOP *****?
- absurdist, on 08/28/2008, -0/+1Congratulations. You fail completely as a human being.
- AmericanElitist, on 09/04/2008, -0/+1yes, that's cost effective. instead of insuring these people leading them to regular care and better health let's just treat them in the most expensive way possible! this crap for a human being doesn't care, it's only the taxpayer that foots the bill.
- WellnessAid, on 10/13/2008, -0/+0It is hard to say if good access to ER substantially improves public health. It probably does, and in this sense it is beneficial for people to have it.
However, having a proper access to other primary care services (Family medicine, Paediatrics, etc.) is necessary as well. Scientific data clearly show that the better primary care (particularly Family medicine) the better the health of the nation. By putting all the emphasis on the ER we will force people to stay home until it is an emergency and then rush to hospital. And after all ER is not cheap option either, so perhaps even from economic point of view at least some emphasis should be shifted to less acute stages…
