- TheInformer, on 08/12/2008, -0/+19Obama says what he is told to say by his "advisors". That's the only explanation for his constant change in views. McCain at least acts on his own.
- deathsythe, on 08/12/2008, -3/+22Better then Obama's tour where he was already acting as if he had won.
- elleigh2, on 08/12/2008, -2/+20At this point in time in the world we should not be choosing a president that has, literally, NO EXPERIENCE on foreign policy!
- fulibs, on 08/12/2008, -1/+17next time just leave off the "on foreign policy" it makes more sense that way.
- dmh11686, on 08/12/2008, -1/+15The american people seem to agree.
Rasmussen:
"Just over half (51%) also believe that John McCain is the best equipped of the two major presidential candidates to handle a similar crisis in the future, while 36% believe Barack Obama is the better of the two to deal with this kind of situation…Although 85% of Republicans believe McCain is the better of the two presidential candidates to handle a similar crisis in the future, only 61% of Democrats feel that way about Obama."
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/pol ... - buddywlkr3, on 08/12/2008, -1/+11Clearly, McCain has shown a more presidential approach to the Russian invasion than has Obama. McCain understands the significance of supporting a strong ally of the US, and realizes the strategic importance of Georgia. If Russia can disrupt the Georgian government, they can control the strategic pipelines for gas and oil that go through the country. Obama has taken the typical liberal Democrat approach -- let's talk about it and get the UN involved. Work through the UN for months and months until the situation is hopeless and then talk some more. The question is: Do we want a man like McCain that understands foreign policy and works in the interests of the US, or do we want a world citizen like Obama who wants to delegate to the UN any and all problems, regardless of the US interests? We can't afford to have Obama serving as DC dog catcher, much less President of the US.
- vexingmodstwo, on 08/12/2008, -3/+12Obama should recuse himself for conflict of interest. He was endorsed by the Communist Party of America.
- paolo27, on 08/12/2008, -1/+9Ha! Right! haha
- elleigh2, on 08/12/2008, -1/+7Must be some reason why the Commies endorse him!
- solodan1000, on 08/12/2008, -2/+6With Obama's 300 foreign policy advisers, do you really expect him to give you a straight answer when the phone rings at 3am?
- omegared, on 08/13/2008, -0/+3"accepted into the Texas Air National Guard, after scoring the lowest acceptable passing grade on the pilot's written aptitude test"
"Critics allege Bush was favorably treated because of his father's political standing, citing his lack of combat service and his irregular attendance."
Don't forget he lied about iraq having WMD's, sending soldiers to die for his lies and yes he did run a business, but is it a accomplishment that he bankrupted them all?
Bush the greatest president to ever live.... God i can't say that without laughing. - vexingmodstwo, on 08/13/2008, -0/+2http://www.pww.org/article/articleview/13259/1/443 ...
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -2/+4Bush is the eldest son of former U.S. President George H. W. Bush and Barbara Bush. After graduating from Yale University, Bush worked in his family's oil businesses. In May 1968, Bush was accepted into the Texas Air National Guard. He later co-owned the Texas Rangers baseball team before defeating Ann Richards to become Governor of Texas in 1994. Bush was elected to the Presidency in 2000 and 2004.
Just what have you accomplished? Oh that's right! You are nothing but a liberal on Digg.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_W._Bush - radiofrequency, on 08/13/2008, -1/+2Obama's having his foreign policy advisor do all the talking.
- buddywlkr3, on 08/13/2008, -1/+2Obama made the perfect call? Which one was that? When he first told the Georgians to suspend further actions as they were being invaded by Russia? When he saw that Bush and McCain were calling for firm sanctions and he decided to join the chorus? As to Nato troops on the ground or UN troops on the ground, we all know that it is going to happen unless the US leads, and Obama is not about to lead. He sticks his finger in the air and sees which way the wind is blowing.
- inactive, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1McCain knows the EU and UN are a joke and will never stand up to Russia. That in my Book, puts him miles ahead of Obama.
- radiofrequency, on 08/13/2008, -1/+2Obama won't give a straight answer at 3am and not even at 3pm.
- wishninja, on 08/13/2008, -0/+1So you steal a bunch of material from a Wikipedia article and BAM your a hero to the Right? McCain's response is plain irresponsible.
“Obviously, America should encourage both countries to back down and resolve their differences peacefully, but the status of South Ossetia, as well as Abkhazia, another Russian-supported separatist zone within Georgia, matters a lot more to Russia, on which the two territories border, than to the U.S. Moreover, Washington itself set a precedent for Russia when it intervened in Kosovo a decade ago, attacking Serbia to win independence for the separatist ethnic-Albanian majority.”
“The purpose of alliances is to defend America, We should not create or expand alliances where the U.S. does not have vital interests. If the Europeans want to defend distant countries like Georgia, they can do so—after all, the European Union has a larger population and bigger GDP than America, without any of Washington’s other global military commitments. It is time for Europe to accept responsibility for its own security.”
Bob Barr 2008 - FredFredrickson, on 08/13/2008, -0/+1Must be some reason why this submission never took off!
- Truthisgold, on 08/14/2008, -0/+0LIke it or not, today's world demands a far keener and deeper familiarity than Mr. Obama could possibly have, given his lack of experience. Already, he has made blunder after blunder, as all novices do. While it is not unforgiveable to be either a novice or make an error in judgment, there is room for neither in the White House, especially in a world that is teetering so preccariously on the edge of a moral, financial and military abyss.
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -5/+2Wait a second. McCain called for NATO troops on the ground, and Obama took the more immediate action and called for calm.
Guess what? Still no Nato troops on the ground, and Russia has suspended their operation. Obama made the perfect call, and McCain suggestion would have made it much worse. - omegared, on 08/12/2008, -10/+6Why did Republicans vote for bush twice, if experience is so important? Unless bankrupting business counts, than bush had tons of experience.
- diggproof, on 08/12/2008, -5/+1You are a liar. Typical of a republican though.
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/GOPers_For_Obama ... - FredFredrickson, on 08/12/2008, -7/+1Oh no, that must mean that Obama is a communist! The return of the Red Scare! LOLSTFU
- omegared, on 08/12/2008, -10/+2or be associated with bush. lets just say bush's foreign policy is been anything but great....
- twitchr, on 08/12/2008, -12/+4At least Obama didn't need to steal his speech from wikipedia..
- omegared, on 08/12/2008, -11/+3not like when McCain gave a speech in Canada, or had a press conference to explain what he would accomplish after his first term. No nothing like that ....
maybe McCain should just admit defeat?
