Read "The Secret" and use it to save the economy? - DPolitico, on 07/10/2008, -0/+4I guess Dr. Gramm would tell a patient suffering from depression to "just get over it." Nice to see compassionate conservatism still at work.
- barbiesnow, on 07/10/2008, -0/+4Well,I guess when you are married to a beer baroness and have a half dozen houses, you really are not able to relate to what is going on in the real world...
- Geiiga, on 07/10/2008, -0/+3If you're dumb, surround yourself with smart people. If you're smart, surround yourself with smart people who disagree with you. If you're a Republican, surround yourself with people who don't know a damn thing about the economy, run up a huge deficit, and then go on the chat shows and talk about how fiscally responsible you are.

I would hate to see his Cabinet. - coltrane68, on 07/11/2008, -0/+1So, the dollar is worth almost nothing,
fuel, and as a consequence, food, clothing, and almost everything else is incredibly expensive
mortgage defaults are at a 30-yr high,
unemployment is rising,
and it's all in our heads.
Kiss my bear market, Gramm. - AxmxZ, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1Someone should inform "Dr. Phil" that the state of the American economy is gauged through a multitude of indeces, reports and employment data, not phone surveys of disgruntled consumers who can't afford to renew half their internet porn subscriptions this month.
