As limited as my understanding is of Iranian politics, Ahmedinejhad is not their leader, he is only a leader in the domestic sense. He runs the government bureaucracy. He doesn't control the budget, he is little more than a rubber stamp for the legislature in their Constitution, and he exercises no control over the military.
If Iran were a corporation, Ahmedinejhad would be the VP for Human Resources and Personnel, basically a hiring and firing manager for the various departments. But he represents the most visible and is the most outspoken of its politicians, so he represents Iranian government to the rest of the world. - ethornquist, on 06/30/2008, -1/+5I don't always agree with the Huffington Post, but the video makes McCain look reckless and sad.
