Ron Paul (who'll probably do 120 push-ups on his 120th birthday) is the only rational person and the only true conservative in the race! - LostinService, on 11/14/2007, -1/+73If you can't manage your campaign funds, how are you going to manage an entire nation's economy?
- inactive, on 11/14/2007, -6/+67some people just can't read the writing on the wall. dude, if you can't raise any money, how do you expect to raise any votes? *some people* can raise 4.2Megabucks in like a day....because they ARE electable. you, sir, are clearly NOT! later gator.
- Exhibitionist, on 11/14/2007, -4/+61And to think there are actually people out there who thought he was a conservative. ROFL!
- animus, on 11/13/2007, -3/+56burrowed as lame
- triplescoop, on 11/14/2007, -0/+44He should have borrowed in Euros
- sotopheavy, on 11/13/2007, -1/+38If this is how he handles financial problems in a campaign, think of how he'll handle our tax dollars as president. Going bankrupt in a campaign does not mean borrow more money. It means you do not have enough supporters. But hey, stay in the race. you are taking votes from Romney and Guliani. A nut who would vote for you would definitely crawl to them next.
- zerohelix, on 11/13/2007, -1/+37He should ask the Chinese
- Grumps, on 11/13/2007, -2/+35Give it up McCain, theres no way you will come close to winning.
- joshmoney, on 11/13/2007, -3/+32Don't worry man, they caught the guy who's been spamming Ron Paul, and they have a picture of him.
- NightVortez, on 11/14/2007, -5/+33I voted for McCain back in 2000, he was a great candidate before he started sucking off Bush.
Of course that was also before the whole Iraq deal. - DickyT83, on 11/13/2007, -0/+20haha that was the first thing i noticed when i saw the headline. well played.
- rp1supporter, on 11/14/2007, -17/+35McCain And the U.S. File For bankruptcy if he wins! Ron Paul is the Only Hope For America
- insertcoin, on 11/13/2007, -1/+14who knew? all this time I could have dug a hole to find some money.
- BelXul, on 11/13/2007, -0/+12At one time, I thought he really might be, until he showed otherwise. Remember how he used to grandstand against torture? Well, when it came down to it, he voted the other way. That was roughly around a year ago.
- inactive, on 11/14/2007, -3/+15Look at the frontrunners. McCain and Romney had to borrow money to keep their campaign going. Rudy tootie the gun grabber is losing popularity and going through big bunches of cash. chuck Norris can only take the huckster so far and Ron Paul sets records for the number of contributors and one day total.
Look at how the campaigns have spent their money. Ron Paul has a staff that is smaller than the "top tier" candidates who have to loan themselves money.
Suppose McCain wins, how is he going to pay back three million on what we pay a president?
Suppose Romney wins, he knows he is his biggest fan so he will ignore the rest.
If a Democrat wins they owe the unions.
When Ron Paul wins it will be because he's the only one who isn't lying to us or sugarcoating the situation we find ourselves in.
If you like honesty and freedom and a proven track record of supporting the Constitution you only have one choice. - inactive, on 11/13/2007, -0/+12In related news, McCain has announced his candidacy for President of the Mole People.
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -0/+12McCain went downhill when he started grovelling at Bush's feet. I liked him in 2000, but I'm sure glad he didn't win, because we've seen who he really is (which is why he's doing so poorly now). You know, if he kept up his adversarial tone with Bush, he'd probably be on top of the polls now.
- ZenFountain, on 11/13/2007, -7/+18I went to the store today to get my Wheaties and Ron Paul was on the box!
- NightVortez, on 11/13/2007, -6/+17Haven't all republican front runner borrowed money so far? Conservatism is fun.
- SiNN4R, on 11/13/2007, -1/+11Its also about his ridiculous overexpenditures.
- FindLiberty, on 11/13/2007, -3/+13Borrow or Burrow? It's a financial sink hole for John, who will need the matching public funds to help pay off his debt (like Romney will)...but by staying in the race, he helps dilute the other clones, and that makes Ron Paul stand out as America's last best hope!
Wow, Ron Paul is really getting popular and now has over $8,068,000.00 donated via thousands of small donations (ave less than $200 each?) representing vast support for his FREEDOM message! Low poll results are reported by MainStreamMedia? (Yeah right, MSM spin. Explain that cash!) Take another look at the picture showing the ID of the real Ron Paul poll spammer: http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Ron_Paul_spammer ...
GOOGLE RON PAUL - tell you family and friends what you learn directly from him ...without the MSM filter. The CBS interview is a recent exception where the filter can't hold back the truth contained within Dr. Paul's message: http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/i_video/main500251 ...
----and--- http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/i_video/main500251 ... - exomni, on 11/12/2007, -1/+10A Freudian slip does not have to be sexual in nature, you ignorant twit.
- borninda818, on 11/13/2007, -0/+9Can't he borrow all he want to and when he loses just file bankruptcy?
- BelXul, on 11/14/2007, -0/+9Cause you know "Frontrunner" McCain thinks something is wrong when he gets beat in all areas of campaigning by Ron Paul, the Media proclaimed third tier candidate.
- WilliamDavis, on 11/13/2007, -0/+8FTA: "McCain wrote a strict 2002 campaign finance law and has criticized independent advertising in the past."
I believe that was called the Incumbent Protection Act. - Osjpr, on 11/12/2007, -1/+9And to think there are Conservatives out there who voted for the Gop/Bush/Cheney. ROFL!
- SiNN4R, on 11/13/2007, -6/+13Buried as inaccurate.
- potofgravy, on 11/13/2007, -0/+7Dugg for humorous comments.
- inactive, on 11/14/2007, -0/+7Wonder where he 'burrowed' it. I'd like to dig it up!
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -0/+7the 'project for the new american century' (bush cabal's think tank, now defunct since it was well exposed, http://www.newamericancentury.org ) proposed McCain as a next president along with Bush. That was before Bush was elected for the first time. The reason was both were fiercely pro-war when most republicans were against Clinton's bombing of Serbia (and they were right since atrocities were committed by BOTH sides not just one as the propaganda wanted at the time, they either wanted to put Clinton out of the Lewinsky scandal or the military wanted a job). I'm not sure if those guys are fiercely pro-war for kissing military's ass, being just idiotically aggressive, trying to make an empire or for the 'petrodollar warfare' aspect of it.
- Stevo23, on 11/13/2007, -6/+13Burried for "burrow".
- kazamx, on 11/13/2007, -1/+7While the whole money bomb on Nov 5th was interesting, I wonder if it was just a one off event or something that can be built upon. Are we going to look back and see 5th of Nov as the high point of Ron Pauls campaign?
I think that Dec 16th is going to be key for Ron Paul. on December 16th 1773 the people of America stood up together and took America back. This year on December the 16th, The people of America 'may' stand up and throw another tea party. If on December 16th ron Paul can raise more than on November 5th, then they will all see it wasn't a one off, it was only the start.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKZmIzEMUN8&e - cambrown99, on 11/13/2007, -1/+7Look at that picture of McCain with his mom.
Now look at this pic: http://faculty.evansville.edu/rl29/art105/img/wood ... - Egoist, on 11/12/2007, -0/+6Nope.
- Dundasbro, on 11/13/2007, -2/+8Why do you think that has anything to do with the parent comment?
- br0ken1128, on 11/13/2007, -0/+6Obviously it's money well spent, I didn't even know he was running..
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -0/+5The only way that McCain is going to resurge is if he takes the $3 million dollars and builds a time machine, goes back to 2001 and warns his past self not to kiss Bush's ass. However, he'd probably take the time machine back even further and tell himself not to go to Vietnam.
- bjmarte, on 11/13/2007, -2/+7How can anyone digg this with such a moronic misspelling in the title?
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -0/+5He should go after Hillary's criminal donors- She is done with them when they make the press.
- mahler, on 11/12/2007, -1/+6Hmm, I think it works the other way around... you need money to raise votes!
- bitspace, on 11/13/2007, -4/+9Buried for illiteracy.
- betterth, on 11/12/2007, -0/+5Because you hit 'reply'. it's basic logic to infer that "replying" to a comment would be a "response" to that comment, not a totally new thread. (That's what totally new threads are for).
- sdlee, on 11/13/2007, -8/+12Ron Paul 2008 - Freedom is popular!
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -4/+8There were discussions in the campaign about taking Federal funds. I think the better thinking people won out on that. And now that Paul actually has some good cash he doesn't need it anyway.
- kronzdigg, on 11/13/2007, -6/+10RON PAUL
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -0/+4McCain for me = Manchurian Candidate.
As i consider the state of America I am coming to the conclusion that Guiliani is going to win fairly easily. If it is Rudy v. Hillary I cannot imagine a country that elected Bush for a second term will opt for Hillary. The mistake being made is that people think freedom and the constitution matters...if it did then Dr. Paul would be out of the margin of error by now. Those things matter a LOT to a small group, hence the rabid support of RP. Alas elections are about catching the average voter. The average voter has a VERY vague sense of what is going on in the world and in their own government. Currently the war on terror is a Republican issue and people are vaguely afraid and will vote for the one they think will kill the terrorists.
American's have seen "kickin ass and takin names" at a national level.and personally I think they like it. American Empire is following the well-worn path of all empires before it. The only question in my mind is how long it will take for a fascist state to kick in. Really everything is already in place and all that is needed is an ill-defined "national emergency" to make whoever is in the White House a dictator. Then the partitioning of wealth and a draft can proceed without any pesky interference from the Congress or judiciary. The trends are plain as day...you hardly need to be Nostradamus to see it. - Stettenbauer, on 11/12/2007, -0/+4I knew someone would get to that.
- reuscel, on 11/13/2007, -0/+4Seriously, John, just give it up. It's over.
