This is a straight out lie! I clicked the link, found the source. http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_li ... McCain "yea"; Obama "nay". So Obama voted against it.
Debts incurred from violence (Schumer). This amendment would close a loophole that allows purveyors of violence to hide behind the bankruptcy laws. Specifically, the amendment provides that debts arising from violence and threats of violence could not be discharged in bankruptcy proceedings. After working closely with Senator Hatch, however, the language of the original amendment was significantly expanded and is no longer particular to abortion. The amendment now addresses violence and intimidation aimed at blocking access to any type of lawful good or service.
