McCain: ‘There Are Too Many Lobbyists In Washington’

thinkprogress.org — In an interview with Politico yesterday, however, McCain ripped lobbyists as “birds of prey,” adding, “I think there are too many lobbyists in Washington. While McCain claims “there are too many lobbyists,” he has at least 159 lobbyists — on leaves of absences — running his campaign, fundraising, and shaping his policies.

  • Wilarseny, on 08/22/2008, -0/+1I'm always curious what they consider the definition of "lobbyist" to be--not curious as Clinton was curious about the definition of "lie", not curious to escape a fact--but I really wonder if this is one of those places where truth is stretched more easily. Is anyone checking BO's campaign team? Is anyone checking this list of 159? The repubs make lists too, you know: remember the 400 climate scientists that ended up being economists or other scientists with no specific climate knowledge? Anyone know of a fact check site for TP or Huffpo? Just curious here.
