It costs 1 trillion dollars a year to maintain over 500,000 US troops stationed around the world occupying allies like Germany and Japan. This is the American Empire. How can we afford to keep dumping money on the world in the form of military bases while New Orleans drowns, California burns and 12 million illegal immigrants pour across our borders? Bring those troops home. Bring that money home.
