- dannytehmanny, on 09/05/2008, -12/+188I'm not your friend buddy.
- scoot87, on 09/05/2008, -5/+160When a people are brainwashed to associate patriotism with blindly supporting government rather then the defending the constitution then the outcome will be chanting "USA! USA!" against an Iraqi Vet voicing his opinions against a war that went against the Constitution.
- arTech, on 09/05/2008, -8/+150I joined around 9/11. Wounded, disabled with 2 Iraq tours under my belt. I'm donating and voting Obama. If you've never been to hell with a combat brigade, you don't know what it's like. More Bush? Thanks but no thanks.
- tnowaskie, on 09/05/2008, -26/+159He was a complete ***** about the fact that there were protesters. I hope people are able to see through his veil.
- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -3/+135MCCAIN WASNT WEARING A FLAG PIN!!!
He's not patriotic! - robert001, on 09/05/2008, -8/+106FYI Americans, if McCain gets in, you aren't the democratic voice, you are 'ground noise and static.'
Best wishes,
The Sympathetic British Isles. - andrewlotta, on 09/05/2008, -5/+83Why do Republicans get so excited when politicians mention 9/11?
It reminds me of the Family Guy episode where Lois runs for town mayor and whenever she says "9/11" the crowd roars. - animelion, on 09/05/2008, -5/+76IRAQ VETERANS AGAINST THE WAR:
http://www.IVAW.org
Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) is open to anybody who has served in the military (Active Duty, National Guard, and Reservists) since September 11th, 2001. Military members who are currently serving can be guaranteed confidentiality.
http://ivaw.org/membership - refugeechris, on 09/05/2008, -2/+64The shouts from the rafters - "McCain Votes Against Vets" and "Ask McCain about his voting record" - were drowned out by chants of "U.S.A," "U.S.A,"
Jesus ***** Doughnuts - This GOP lead cheerleader RahRah ***** has got to stop. - peestandingup, on 09/05/2008, -5/+66I swear to God, this is insanity. Here we have McCain PRAISING Bush for "keeping us safe from another attack" and "leading us in these dark days after the terrorist attack", etc. Yes, Bush, who led us to war under false pretenses & everyone knows it. Yet, these warmongering Neocon idiots are all chanting "USA USA USA" like nothing's wrong here. It reminds me of Nazi Germany at the beginning of their rise of power. Have we lost our ***** minds??
No joke, it makes me literally sick to my stomach the thought of McCain becoming president of our United States. I believe with every fiber of my being that it will be the beginning of the end of us if it happens. - gubbie, on 09/05/2008, -7/+52The protesters/interruptions were the highlight of the otherwise boring-ass speech.
- Stryder81, on 09/05/2008, -4/+46" Country First "
That's what Stalin said... - phuzzy3d, on 09/05/2008, -3/+40Dude has balls to go into the belly of the beast.
I guarantee he was shaken down and arrested for being a terrorist. - inactive, on 09/05/2008, -5/+40Ballsy move, me and my friends lifted a beer to him when they showed him on TV. But why was the only Republican discourse to chant. USA USA at him? This man has actually served the USA and disagrees with what is going on. and as Americans, we all love this country, chanting its acronym doesn't make it more or less true
- GregFD3S, on 09/05/2008, -3/+36GOP audience members at the RNC remind me of audiences in South Park.
"RABBLE! RABBLE! RABBLE! RABBLE! RABBLE!" - waydee, on 09/05/2008, -2/+34... They really did start chanting USA! USA!.
What the hell do you people put in the water over there? - jamesalfaro, on 09/05/2008, -3/+33Here's a better video of the Iraq Vet.
http://www.libertymaven.com/2008/09/04/adam-kokesh ... - peheimbach, on 09/05/2008, -12/+40I'm trying to envision a THOUSAND hecklers getting any traction on the final night of the Democratic National Convention, let alone one or two or three. Could they have? Is that even a serious question?
Just how quiet WAS this hall? (I didn't watch -- gotta be selective about what the 5-year-old daughter hears)
One person getting enough traction to get everyone going? One person enough to distract McCain? Wow.
Course it probably was about bedtime for everyone anyway. - inactive, on 09/05/2008, -10/+36Makes sense. White trash republicans talk about shooting Obama all the time.
- mannyqui, on 09/05/2008, -5/+27there is nothing more scary than an arena full of idiots....... and One sane man in between them all, this guy must have balls of steel.
- BoeHandi, on 09/05/2008, -2/+24Watching those people chant usa at the Iraq vet to shut him up gave me a very uneasy feeling. It seems the Neocons live a very fenced in life. Seeing and hearing only what appeases them, and when faced with something such as this they blindly ignore, try to talk over, or chant something like USA to make themselves feel more patriotic then the opposition no matter whats being said and without a second thought to even consider their opinion.
- Manhunt545, on 09/05/2008, -7/+29I'm not your buddy pal
couldn't resist. sorry - inactive, on 09/05/2008, -3/+25You weren't persuaded by Sarah Palin's down home, folksy nature?
- xerigen, on 09/05/2008, -3/+24These people act like they are the biggest supporters of the military and then they boo and heckle a veteran. Complete hypocritical dumbasses.
Keep fighting the good fight, Adam Kokesh. He gave a great speech at the Rally for the Republic. - JFetch, on 09/05/2008, -2/+22McCain's face is hilarious when the heckling starts. You can see he had to remind himself to smile when he was about to get pissed.
- ErickStevenson, on 09/05/2008, -1/+21Wow I didn't see that, how come he didn't wear his Patriotic Pin (Made in China of course)
- schoate09, on 09/05/2008, -4/+23Doucebag, he signed up to fight the people that attacked us on 9/11, but ended up sent fighting for Bush's oil.
- Jelga, on 09/05/2008, -0/+18I couldn't agree with you more. Dugg.
- jeuhrn, on 09/05/2008, -4/+22I read somewhere else that a person shouted "Get out, nazis!" or something to that effect when the hecklers were removed, which I find exhilaratingingly humorous coming from a crowd in the midst of chanting "USA! USA!" like a bunch of blind brownshirts.
ps: I live in the only Nato-country with a border to Russia, pls 2 not elect McClown. - inactive, on 09/05/2008, -0/+17it's like a parody of a ridiculous cartoon
- huff51, on 09/05/2008, -1/+18thank you for your service. may no one dare call you unpatriotic.
- kingofinternet, on 09/05/2008, -7/+24I'm not your buddy, friend
- browntiger, on 09/05/2008, -5/+20>They closed off the HIGHWAY while he was in the stadium.
They always do that with large public gatherings. - inactive, on 09/05/2008, -7/+22We're not your buddies guy!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5uzJVkeaUI
(There is an actual ORDER people) - SpinningHead, on 09/05/2008, -5/+18Whats worse is the crowd shouted down a vet by chanting "USA". Nationalists suck.
- Lith25, on 09/05/2008, -9/+22I'm not your friend, buddy
- ErickStevenson, on 09/05/2008, -1/+14It's a reflex to these guys... same with patriotism chants, and flag pins.
- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -16/+28Oh, look! Another Rethug against the Freedom of Assembly! To decry this vet in favor of a politician is undignified. It's disgusting. It's un-American. Die, traitor.

Yes, the republican party is getting very close to how Hitler reacted when rising to power. They want control over everything including the media, books, etc. They also preach about the "homeland" very similar to the "fatherland" of Hitler. This whole patriotism and flag pin brigade is also very similar to the views of the Nazis .... - gridbread, on 09/05/2008, -3/+13He's already starting to sound like an ivory tower, where anything he doesn't want to hear is reduced/filtered to "ground noise" or "static".
- muckemuck, on 09/05/2008, -1/+11You do realize over $60,000,000, of our taxpayer dollars went to fund the Republican convention don't you? So a LOT of the RNC was paid for by people who do not support the war. This Iraq War Vet spoke for them.
- Zaggynl, on 09/05/2008, -0/+10Join the army they said, see the world they said, I'd rather be sailing.
- bobbarkerbilly, on 09/05/2008, -0/+10Heaven forbid the guy start thinking on his own two feet once he finishes his job in the military. I used to work with another Iraq War marine veteran who signed up on 9/11, thought he would fight the Taliban in Afghanistan, but ended up in Iraq and is now out on disability. Surprise, the guy thinks with his own head and is opposed to the war in Iraq.
- Logicexe, on 09/05/2008, -7/+17Are you calling our soldiers cry babies? Are you suggesting we go out of our way to humiliate and laugh at our troops? Why do you hate America?
Oh wait never mind, I forgot that only the troops who agree with conservative ideology are paragons of morality and patriotism. - molotovcat, on 09/05/2008, -2/+12The COUNTRY is what he fights for, not an elite group of individuals. What you preach is oligarchy.
I see the neo-cons are happily pissing on our constitution on a daily basis. - DeskFlyer, on 09/05/2008, -2/+12http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5h1PNEAlNhi736iL ...
Reading comprehension fail. - zip000, on 09/05/2008, -2/+12I didn't think that he handled the hecklers all that badly actually.
I'm voting for Obama. It's a shame that I always feel like I need to mention it, but if I don't people will assume that I am a McCain supporter just saying whatever I can in support of my candidate whether it is true or not. That isn't the case; I try to speak the truth about the candidates not just faun over one and hate the other.
I thought McCain's speech last night was mostly OK - but all the other speeches I heard from the RNC were aggressive and negative and ridiculous. - poprocksandsoda, on 09/05/2008, -10/+20Listen, I felt violated by those ***** interupting the speech. Had someone stood there and did this to Obama I would have felt just as violated. People have a right to protest, but they don't have a right to stop the lives of everyone at the DNC/RNC and watching at home and hold them hostage because they don't like Obama/McCain. This is no different than being on a subway car and having someone ask you for money. It's offensive. These people are disgusting and I hope a sizeable amount of jail time awaits them.
