- Kaleko, on 09/30/2008, -10/+99This clown is aimlessly tottering around among the walking dead that populate the GOP.
His ridiculous sidekick has a debate scheduled for Thursday. After that, she'll be official trash. - LooseFur, on 09/30/2008, -5/+44You gotta hand it to Johnny Mac: no matter which end you aim the microphone at, you're going to get a lot of sound & fury that signifies absolutely nothing but smells really, really bad.
- Sogladtobehere, on 09/30/2008, -4/+40One must wonder if they even believe their own horse ***** anymore? Surely the voters aren't buying this?!?! It was Republicans who voted down the bill. How on Earth can they try to pin it on Obama?
- gingerbreadcat, on 09/30/2008, -6/+37Of course he does. Good thing he was there, listening so hard and eating nice dinners with his campaign donors, or we wouldn't have a responsible bailout package. Oh wait...
- Baconbuyer, on 09/30/2008, -4/+34rofl @ the attempts to pin this on Obama and the Democrats when a) McCain grandstandingly announced his triumphant return to DC to fix this, then failed to do anything at all (just kinda sat around the meetings, saying or asking very little) and b) more Republicans voted nay than Democrats. Take a look at Obama's response vs. McCain's. One is petty, the other is presidential. It's not hard to see which is which.
- Treven, on 09/30/2008, -5/+23These obvious lies are getting annoying, when is he up for being voted out of the senate? What's his life expectancy again?
- DangerCollie, on 09/30/2008, -1/+17He was porked by his own party in 2000, carried more water than Gunga Din for the Bush administration, then when he's a tottering old man he gets half-hearted support from people trying to hang on to their jobs but are saddled with an unpopular war, a broken economy and compounds all that by constantly bungling the few advantages he does have with a series of massive gaffs and missteps that include picking a moose-shooting twit with 18 months experience as governor of the most nowhere state on the planet.
Epic fail. - Sheavenger, on 09/30/2008, -6/+21McFailin is really going to get brutal in his insults and demented attacks. The polls showed what Obama is likely to win even with 5%, Pinochio Moosehunter and wolf shooter, is the worst example of political campaign first, anything to win judgement, and shoot first ask questions later mentality, that has us at the bottom of the civilized nation's list around the world.
McCrazy is about to get even more desperate, as his backers see, he can't stop the investigation of Wall Street, by the FBI. Somebody's surrogates are gonna go down.
His campaign will probably all be locked up, for malfeasants, and deregulatory abuse of the financial markets and manipulation of Oil prices, with war threats and rhetoric against nations. - dilpreet64, on 10/01/2008, -0/+10Last year, Barack said he was 46 years old. Now he claims to be 47. Which is it, Barack? Better keep your story straight.
He'd also like you to believe he's not a baby eater. But he's never gone on record saying he isn't. Maybe he's too busy eating babies...
- I am John McCain and I approve this message. - - aftern9ne, on 09/30/2008, -8/+17Buried for Huffington Post. This is nothing but liberal lies. There was no truth to this article at all.
You know, except for the ***** VIDEO where McCain said this *****. - tjbaker, on 09/30/2008, -1/+10Wonderfully put! ... but makes me want to runnnnnn awayyyyyyyyyyy
- ulmedas, on 09/30/2008, -1/+9Expectations for Palin are so low at this point that she merely has to not look like a fool to make herself and her running mate look good. It's exactly what Gore did to Bush. Made him out to be a colossal idiot, then when he didn't turn out to be so bad, everyone liked Bush just a little more.
Also, the likely hood of Biden making a mean spirited or derogatory remark about her intelligence is very high, thus endearing the average Joe and Susan to her even more. - VoxRatio, on 09/30/2008, -0/+7Likely correct, however it IS biden she's debating. We surely can't give that guy too much credit.
On the blame game, whoever is responsible for the bailout failing is A-OK in my book. Doesn't this douche realize that america didn't want this? Is he actually telling people to go vote for the other guy? - nirav72, on 09/30/2008, -0/+7Wow..these people (the republicans) are really living in a warped world. Over on reddit here is one headline - "For 19 Days After Viciously Attacking Guest Who Called The Economy “Dire,” Hannity Now Accuses Democrats Of Ignoring Catastrophic Economic Problems Since 2004"
WTF? - inactive, on 09/30/2008, -1/+8I blame furries, and ebaumsworld.com
- tjbaker, on 09/30/2008, -2/+8He's a flunky pilot who grew up as a silver spoon fed military royalty brat ... what do you expect....??
- tetsuo29, on 09/30/2008, -6/+11Dugg for being Huffington Post (screw all you loosers who diss on HP)
Dugg for being on Digg 4 times (4 is not enough, it needs to be here 100 times)
Dugg for being anti Geezer/Gidget (losers)
Dugg for being pro Obama/Biden (it's time to send the Republican's brand of "conservatism" packing) - Okitaz, on 09/30/2008, -8/+13McCain == Republican National Committee.
Also, The Huffington Post is famous for being bias and inaccurate.
I'll get buried for this, but PLEASE hate McCain for good reasons. - smacksaw, on 09/30/2008, -5/+9Even if you're a Republican, things like this PROVE that McCain would screw you as well:
"In order to not seem political, he clung to the idea that he was forging a bipartisan compromise. When the proposal fell short of passage he didn't want the responsibility anymore, but the campaign still doesn't want to look like it's making electoral hay out of the crisis. And so, one gets these disjointed statements."
He's not a "Republican" at all. He's never been one. His party hates him. He will do whatever he wants for himself. This is what his being a "maverick" means. He will throw anyone under the bus. Including the people who voted for him. Haven't we had enough of that the last 8 years? - EvilLordBanana, on 10/01/2008, -0/+4ok, McCain=Doddering old man.
- BigDigg55, on 09/30/2008, -1/+5Wait is this the same McCain, the senator from Arizona, who once said that he could not answer the question on the economy because there are certain things about the economy he does not understand?
- ConAmoreEFuoco, on 09/30/2008, -1/+5The funny thing is, some people do believe whatever they hear from these politicians. It's a Rovean tactic to spout lies and misleading exaggerations, but it works. Fox News picks up on it and a large section of the populace hears the lie from what they think is a reputable news source, giving the lie credence. That's why it's so exhausting to try to correct the lies and smears against Obama; it takes so much work to correct them, and a new lie by McCain et al. sets off a new wave of disinformation.
- DVision2406, on 09/30/2008, -1/+5Did you even watch the news conference or the :37 sec clip??? John McCain in his own words: "Senator Obama and his allies in congress infused unnecessary partisanship into the process."
Sounds like he's blaming Obama to me!!!! - Cuchanu, on 09/30/2008, -1/+5Only McCain is qualified to know that.
The description is a little off, too. He said, "The bill failed because Sen. Obama and the Democrats played partisan politics. Now's not the time to blame." Something like that. But he blamed Obama for the bill failing (??!!) and then said now's not the time to blame.
What a ***** joke. - URnotheonly1, on 10/01/2008, -1/+4http://www.suntimes.com/news/politics/obama/700499 ...
Obama represented Calvin Roberson in a 1994 lawsuit against Citibank, charging the bank systematically denied mortgages to African-American applicants and others from minority neighborhoods.
you are a tool - danswim393, on 10/01/2008, -2/+5I will be so glad/relieved/thrilled when Obama takes the Presidential Oath!
- inactive, on 09/30/2008, -7/+10He is like a fish that can't remember what he said 30 seconds ago
- Soave, on 09/30/2008, -2/+5Dupe. Seriously, it's on the top 10. And HuffingtonPost is NOT the best source.
- inactive, on 09/30/2008, -2/+5Dugg for sense.

- inactive, on 09/30/2008, -0/+3Oliver Stone should cast Leslie Nielsen as McCain in his next film.
- MicrosoftAccess, on 10/01/2008, -0/+3Arrested Development. Maeby Funke posed as surely funke to get money. She had what was known as BS.
http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids. ... for more reference. - 10lbhammer, on 09/30/2008, -1/+3I didn't get it.
- Sephaa, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2In general i'm just wondering if there's a site around that has as much anti-obama/biden content as digg does for mccain and palin. But my first impression is that mccain/palin are simply going to be a horrible choice for the u.s and that most digg users in and outside the u.s realise this, and the fact that they really might spin 10x more ***** than obama/biden.
- rento, on 09/30/2008, -5/+7Now is not the time of BS.. McCain step aside or better still fork off!
- VieRelative, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2There's a careful balance as to how much money to loan. If you don't loan enough, the economy performs sub-optimally. Loan too much and you run too much credit risk.
There was no huge housing bubble during the Clinton administration and the economy was doing great.
The mortgage problem was created during the Bush administration. So I don't think it's reasonable to blame even part of this on Clinton.
I keep seeing these reasonable sounding "but.. but.. Clinton!" accusations (among scores of retarded ones of course). But after 3 or 4 false positives, I think I'll start to instantly call *****: there is no wolf. - sblakesley, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2It's not accurate? You mean the video where he says this?
- SkittlesUSA, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2Republican National Committee =!= John McCain.
- greenleaflink, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2If anything the Republicans do well is two faced, double standards.
Sarah Palin on Joe Bidens age.
John on pratically everything. - EvilLordBanana, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2umm more republicans voted it down then democrates. How is that playing partisan politics? wtf mcfail?
- enieves, on 09/30/2008, -0/+2This was when the Dems liked him...
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/record.xpd?id=109- ...
He did co sponsor support for regulations...just wish he would have brought it up in the debate...damn old age! - zanzzz, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2Simplistic rubbish! Are the Democrats responsible for the derivative financial trading market that allowed bad loans to be resold to investors that should have known better?
- StnkDtktor, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2Yeah, lets wait and see if we can put the same idiots in charge of $700b before we find out if they caused the original mess. Afterall, its ONLY $700b. Beautiful, just f..ing beautiful.
- birge, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2Woah, there sailor. That's a bit too much logic for around here. Put that away before somebody gets hurt and the party gets awkward. We're here to self affirm our politics, not actually think or learn something. McCain is evil. Everything he does is self motivated and insincere. Get with the program!
- webwatch, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2What that website does not tell you is that McCain after adding his name as a co-sponsor, never followed through. He did not work to get it passed.
Chuck Hagel(R) tabled the very same bill in 2007 but it never got the support of McCain or Republicans.
McCain the "maverick" has a history of opposing the bills that he co-sponsors like the Kennedy-McCain Bill. He is now against it.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,156637,00.html - inactive, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1Oops you mean like Fannie Mae that donated more to Obama's campaign because OBAMA was the one that wanted lower income families to have loans more accessible to them.
Did Obama care about the repercussions of failed mortgages? Hell no.
Does he care now? Oh surprisingly he does now!
But Obama's rhetoric is now:"lets not blame anyone" - even if he and Pelosi were trying to make it political and like THEY were the ones fixing things.
No more bad loans to rich fat cats, but more importantly to those who cannot afford them. I dont care if you're white, black, stripped, pkadots - just because you FEEL oppressed doesnt mean you are! And doesnt mean you are entitled to take credit and make the rest of the USA pay for your mistakes! - stack3r, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=KTkqosRiyYo&eurl=
Its split - BigDigg55, on 10/01/2008, -1/+2Wall Street Journal in late November 2007, "I'm going to be honest: I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy issues. I still need to be educated."
There you go. - saintsfan, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1I was going to vote for him, but this is ridiculous. How could he make a speech and not make sure all of his affiliates agree with him? He only has to deal with a couple of hundred organizations and he can't prevent them from sending out propaganda? I am so upset by this that I will no longer be voting for McCain.
- mizlane, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1Drama Queen McCain to the rescue... Like the time he tried to rescue( was involved) Keating five..
