- ThumperNM, on 10/08/2008, -0/+85He is correct in his Freudian slip; we are all prisoners of the incredibly inept and dangerous Bush/Cheney Administration.
- melindafla, on 10/08/2008, -0/+61This is sad. I witnessed this same kinds of mental slip ups in Reagan's last days in office. But this man is just running for the office! This is inexcusable. He is too old. And scary Palin is standing right there behind him, thinking, "It can be mine! It can be mine!" Makes my mouth go dry just thinking of it.
- inactive, on 10/08/2008, -0/+52Hanoi is just testing out its switches. Just in case.

- BN89, on 10/08/2008, -0/+46i actually feel bad for the old man. for the sake of his health (and for the US) i hope he doesn't win.
- inactive, on 10/08/2008, -0/+43I have seen better politicians on the Simpson's.
- skteoievtehr, on 10/08/2008, -1/+43Bat *****.
- pjfrompa, on 10/08/2008, -0/+38This man has a serious problem. Some of his friends better start addressing it to him. What a mess.
- IrishJoe, on 10/08/2008, -0/+36McCain Campaign: By "prisoners" Senator McCain is referring to the American workers who are the best in the world. How dare you besmirch the reputation of the American workers.
- benintn, on 10/08/2008, -0/+36Did you see Sarah Palin's face when he said that? She was looking around like, "Whoops-a-daisy! Hope no one noticed that one!"
- Olon97, on 10/08/2008, -0/+32If Barack Obama had agreed to meet for more town halls with registered Republican audiences, then John McCain never would have had to call Americans "My Fellow Prisoners!" Clearly Obama's fault.
- orelses, on 10/08/2008, -3/+34Its his version of saying "we" like Obama does...
He wants us all to feel like we are all in this together. As prisoners of the government.

That One '08. - algaeturd, on 10/08/2008, -0/+30This guy is ***** BAT ***** CRAZY. Seriously. Confused, erratic...NOT in any position to run ANYTHING.
- inactive, on 10/08/2008, -0/+27I still prefer his impersonation of the Penguin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0r8hhShMyZw
- Echota, on 01/05/2009, -0/+27Another very good reason he should release All his medical records!
The fact that he is know to have tried suicide twice greatly bothers me! - EximiousPress, on 10/08/2008, -0/+27No big woop. He was just seeing Charlie up on the trees and had to lift spirit to start a revolt.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -0/+27Great, now grandpa is having 'Nam flashbacks.
He's probably going to spend half of his presidency hiding from the secretary under the Oval Office desk and trying to shoot Charlie down from the ceiling chandeliers. - USArugula, on 10/08/2008, -0/+26It's over.
- MediaWeasel, on 10/08/2008, -0/+25And he didn't realise he'd made a mistake either. Not a blink. Yikes.
Jokes apart this is serious stuff and the next question is - what the heck are they going to do if he falls by the wayside before November. - rbonnelly, on 10/08/2008, -0/+24Ufff! It gets worst when you listen to the extended version...the crowd just stayed silent wondering...What the heck did he just say!!!!???
- paintgrl, on 10/08/2008, -0/+22Wow. My fellow prisoners, let me out.
- inactive, on 10/08/2008, -2/+24Finally, someone is honest about how the Repukes view the American people.
- thebradmiskell, on 10/08/2008, -0/+20First connection I've felt to him in ages. Prisoners, indeed...
- inactive, on 10/08/2008, -0/+19Insane in the membrane
- Caffeinate, on 10/08/2008, -4/+23How dare you people speak badly about that man, he was a POW! The polls might show a majority of the military doesn't support him either, because he has voted against bills that would benefit both veterans and enlisted, he is a veteran and if you agree with those awful troops that don't support McCain, you don't support our troops.
Republicans are the only party that have ever served in the Armed Forces, the only party capable of explaining to veterans that they aren't really being cheated, and are the only party our Armed Forces will ever vote for, because Republicans are the only party capably of understanding what NCO understands. - inactive, on 10/08/2008, -0/+18Here is an extended version of the clip.

He is talking about his economic plans, and it does not make any sense at all. - inactive, on 10/08/2008, -0/+18Most obey the laws. Most pay their mortgages on our now devalued homes. Most teach their children to do the same. And you think this was a slip? This is how he and his party see us.
- johnnr2, on 10/08/2008, -5/+22http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/McCain_Loses_It_ ...
- Xihix, on 10/08/2008, -0/+17The ultimate drinking game: Take a shot every time McCain says, "My friends..." at a public rally.
- redux2redux, on 10/08/2008, -0/+15Made me think of the Hotel California lyrics...
Mirrors on the ceiling,
The pink champagne on ice
And she said ’we are all just prisoners here, of our own device’
And in the master’s chambers,
They gathered for the feast
The stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can’t kill the beast - c1rcasurv1ve, on 10/08/2008, -1/+16By 'prisoners' he means the American workforce who are tied down by their medical insurance offered by their employer.
- Junel, on 10/08/2008, -0/+15I've always respectfully maintained that McCain could potentially have a screw loose because of his POW time, the sad realization is more people are inclined to believe that Obama is a "closet Muslim".
- deem1890, on 10/08/2008, -0/+14I think the time McCain spent in Vietnam effected his mentality and judgment. Poor man!
He's incompetent to lead, Example: look at his VP... She's a nut! Bush 90 votes on his policies, etc... - magus_melchior, on 10/08/2008, -0/+13I know he probably meant something other than "prisoners", but for the life of me I can't find a word that works and helps McCain.
I've been watching James Carville too much... - depro9, on 10/08/2008, -0/+13Looks like someone had a senior moment.
- algaeturd, on 10/08/2008, -0/+13You know what? I thought about this for a few hours. I would really feel sorry for this old man if it weren't for his smugness, his rudeness, his attacks, his hate and his bitterness. This man is obviously melting down in front of the entire world. Mentally, he isn't sharp or focused enough to get his points across anymore. It really is sad. But then again, he's so full of hate and his wife and running mate are so full of bile and hatred that I don't feel a single hint of sympathy towards him. This is going to get worse...just wait and see.
- aussiejan, on 10/08/2008, -0/+12Mental slips like this are common in people suffering early dementia. It is a genuine concern because it begs the question, if McCain is not mentally sharp enough to be in charge, who would be?

- inactive, on 10/08/2008, -0/+12Old man McCain has a senior moment. Imagine that.
- Olon97, on 10/08/2008, -0/+12Otherwise known as alcohol poisoning.
- Nitrouz, on 10/08/2008, -0/+11Damn.. looks like Alzheimer's has caught up to McCain
- pintomp3, on 10/08/2008, -1/+12i'm a POW too!
- freedomjoe, on 10/08/2008, -0/+11Oopsie, wasn't supposed to let that outta the bag QUITE yet. Darn! Rove is gonna be mad!
- siszam, on 10/08/2008, -1/+12Considering all the concentration camps that FEMA has set up around the U.S. "my fellow prisoners" is a very prescient slip.

I predict a 200 electoral vote margin of victory for Obama/Biden. - pixelate, on 10/08/2008, -0/+8It's those gotcha journalism cameras and mikes!!!
- ironhide, on 10/08/2008, -0/+8Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.
- inactive, on 10/08/2008, -0/+7I just read the prepared remarks. He was supposed to say "fellow citizens."
