- reuscel, on 07/02/2008, -7/+71Poor McCain. Senility's a bitch.
- inactive, on 07/02/2008, -6/+64You'd think by now this decrepit thing would have learned about the Youtube!!!
- warr1979, on 07/02/2008, -12/+57McCain may be the worst presidential candidate ever !!! Please if there is a god protect us from McCain PLEASE !!!
- kleenex1, on 07/02/2008, -5/+48Actually he did say that and it was caught on video. Does he seriously not remember. My grandmother with her worst flux of dementia isn't even this bad. And she's 91!!!
- voxlisa999, on 07/02/2008, -2/+44Whew! I'm kind of getting tired of posting the same comment over and over but McCain makes me do it. The guy doesn't seem to realize that when you say things on camera, they are recorded and can be played back. One of his cronies needs to clue him in.
- Cuchanu, on 07/02/2008, -2/+43McCain must think he is a Jedi Master all he needs to do is wave his hand, "I never said that I don't understand economics"..."You never said that you don't understand economics"
- rz8472, on 07/03/2008, -1/+32This just in - John McCain has pledged to campaign in all 13 colonies! What a committed candidate...
- Cuchanu, on 07/02/2008, -1/+25Some campaign spokesman of his said on the Today Show that McCain "likes to tool around on the internet".
My grandma said that when she thought she was sending emails but they were just sitting there after she typed because she didn't know how to actually send them. - liberaldemdave, on 07/02/2008, -3/+26darn youtubes! bwahahahahahaha.
- dinot, on 07/02/2008, -1/+23Seems like McCain doesn't know much about McCain either.
- skoles, on 07/03/2008, -0/+16God forbid the interviewer do her job and call him out on it by quoting the day & place he said it. Maybe follow up with the video.
People get pissed about ThinkProgress and HuffingtonPost sites getting to the front page all the time. But you gotta realize THEY are doing more actual reporting than the news stations most of America relies on. And they always back it up with video proof. - str1fe, on 07/03/2008, -1/+17I'm still convinced he's at the early stages of Alzheimer's or some similar disease.
- 1johnb1, on 07/03/2008, -1/+17If McCain were flipping pancakes or burgers, they would be done on both sides now....
- joncarr, on 07/03/2008, -1/+16Shame on Robin Roberts for not holding his feet to the fire.
- AesopSBX, on 07/02/2008, -2/+17Cmon give the guy a break it was just a senior moment....er another senior moment.
- jbdobd, on 07/02/2008, -1/+14For cripes sake - even when McCain was in Naval Academy, the phonograph had been recently invented, so surely he is aware that the voice can be recorded! Someone should brief him now that his image can be recorded as well...
- pintomp3, on 07/03/2008, -2/+13mccain's first order of business if elected: ban all video recording.
- diecastbeatdown, on 07/03/2008, -0/+11it seems that is a requirement these days to become a viable candidate for the republicans.
- angrynorwegian, on 07/03/2008, -1/+11How can someone so dumb make it to the white house?
Dumber people put him there. - inactive, on 07/02/2008, -4/+14Great, now McCain is going to start shouting at youtube to get off his lawn.
- rz8472, on 07/03/2008, -3/+13I don't think so, he's afraid of the humming pictograph machines. He even admitted that Cindy is responsible for managing all his wireless visual telegraphs.

..................................., - bubba9999, on 07/03/2008, -0/+9The current administration has proved that if you say something over and over enough, a certain number of people will believe it despite overwhelming previous evidence to the contrary.

RIP - buddyfarr, on 07/03/2008, -0/+7@theaceoffire - yep, sigh. that quote is the best example of a political idiot. "Oh, I am gonna vote for a complete political moron just because he is in my political party." No sir, that just shows that you are a moron. Anyone who just blindly votes for their party is an idiot. You should see what each candidate has to offer and then vote for the best candidate. Anyone who only votes for their party all the time no matter the candidate is a fool.
- gotigertom, on 07/03/2008, -1/+8his cronies are as tuned out as he is. Many PR flaks born in the 50s and 60s are clueless as to how the internet works, how information is instantly shared and never forgotten.
- consonance, on 07/03/2008, -1/+8If there's anything worse than a senile old man, it's a senile old Jedi. If he saw those damn kids on his lawn he would slice them to bits with his lightsaber.
- portnoy, on 07/03/2008, -2/+9Yeah, that's what this country needs at this time. Another president who if not for the powerful influence of his family would not even qualify for a job in the food service industry beyond that of picking vegetables some corporate farm. I would think that after two terms of Bush we would all recognize the need for a leader that can read above a 5th grade level.
- Stormwern, on 07/03/2008, -1/+7And it's not the first time he hasn't remembered that specific thing
- wille1623, on 07/03/2008, -3/+9Maybe he forgot all about it because he is so old.
- x2wenty4x, on 07/03/2008, -1/+7Welcome to a world with Youtube McCain. Your BS flip flopping and contradictions won't go unnoticed.
- solesoul, on 07/03/2008, -4/+10Wow...just wow. 2 things: 1) raising taxes is necessary to increase revenues so we can move out of recession, 2) if you're voting against Obama, please vote against him for reasons other than the non-controversy of Rev. Wright.
- inactive, on 07/03/2008, -3/+9McCain knows knows nothing about economics.
- bxblox, on 07/03/2008, -0/+6By debates you mean "town halls"
- tcpik, on 07/03/2008, -0/+5the comments on that site are great.
“The best thing about Alzheimer’s is you get to hide your own Easter eggs.” –John McCain, September 1999
LOL - headinthesand, on 07/03/2008, -0/+5So lets just go ahead and elect John McCain so that we can be embarrassed four to eight more years that he is our leader and every time he makes a public speech some ***** flys out of his mouth. Just as long as Neo-Cons have there faith in God that John McCain won't start WWIII. Wake up people.... Wake up....
- inactive, on 07/03/2008, -0/+5You're supposed to edit it going back and forth from the lie, to the actual footage of his original comments so we don't have to follow a bunch of links. Timing is everything with cynical observations.
- Duositex, on 07/03/2008, -1/+6McCain is so old that up until 20 years ago he stills yelled at photographers for trying to steal his soul. He stopped after he figured there must not be any left.
- flashback99, on 07/03/2008, -0/+5you guys make my day.
- deadbaby, on 07/03/2008, -1/+5McCain has completely lost it. I actually voted for him in the 00 state primary. I remember admiring that he stood up against Bush even 3 or 4 years ago. What the hell happened to him?
- johnhummel, on 07/03/2008, -0/+4Amen. I didn't always agree with Mr. Russert's approach - but he would have nailed the guy on this one. He'd have the clip right there sayiing "Oh, really - well, here's you at X debate saying this."
Sometimes his "gotcha" and lack of really pressing people bothered me (Mr. Russert had more faith in the American intelligence than I do, I guess) - but that's at least one thing he could do well. - pintomp3, on 07/03/2008, -0/+4she probably wasn't expecting him to straight up lie, especially after being called out by tim russert before.for the exact same lie.
- djholybolt, on 07/03/2008, -0/+4I agree. He's flip-flopped about 15 times in the last month! Why isn't he getting ridiculed like Kerry did in '04? Kerry only changed positions on a few subjects but not enough to really do any harm and the Mass Media hounded him all the way up to general election!
- makenshin, on 07/02/2008, -2/+6Yes, no doubt he has said he is not very good with economics. His denial of this is a sign probably, that he realizes that foreign policy and war is much less important to American's at the moment than the economy. There are a lot of things I disagree with Obama on, but I feel between him and McCain, Obama would do a much better job on improving our economy. Though I am looking toward third parties more than these two, probably voting for Barr.
- Elsewhere42, on 07/03/2008, -0/+4Just what we need... another president who makes up reality as he goes. :S
I sure am glad we have all of the tubes of the internets to let us know about these things! - Ouhei, on 07/03/2008, -2/+5What exactly is taken out of context about saying he doesn't know much about economics to saying he is strong on economics and never said he was weak on it?
How is there any other way to take that? Had he said, I now know more about economics than before because I've been studying up, then you MIGHT believe him. But he's denying he ever said it. - bjornski, on 07/03/2008, -1/+4How many times do you have to see it? It's all over, it's been reported repeatedly.
Is your attention span that short? - TwiztOG43, on 07/03/2008, -2/+5McCain knows nothing about anything made after 1951
- bxblox, on 07/03/2008, -1/+4Know who else is an ivy league grad? Bush...
- tkstock, on 07/03/2008, -1/+4Everyone gets a tax cut under McCain's plan.
Notice how the person making $2.9 million is taxed almost $1 million more under the Obama plan? Where is that $1 million coming from? It will come out of their investments in other companies which creates jobs and spurs innovation. Essentially, it will come out of the economy - and that's true for everyone who makes over $250K. The economy won't be able to handle that and would increase the need for social welfare.
People think the "evil rich people" have all this extra money in bank vaults at their house, when in fact it's invested in the economy. Take it away and you subtract it from the already-sour economy. Not a good plan at all. -
