- virtualval2001, on 10/20/2008, -7/+83again...another case of him pointing a finger and three pointing back to him.
- Baconbuyer, on 10/20/2008, -9/+63Make no mistake: this IS McCain's ground game. Truly vile and pathetic.
- mrgreen371, on 10/20/2008, -9/+61I would stay taking away Americans' right to vote is as Un-American as you can get.
This was how they won in 2000, and 2004.
Let us hope that we get our Democracy back in 2008.

- barbiesnow, on 10/20/2008, -9/+30The light is shining on those rats behind the woodwork...digg em out..
- birdly, on 10/20/2008, -9/+30Country first, my ass.
- PattySoandSo, on 10/20/2008, -7/+27Spread this around so that the mainstream media cannot ignore it. They're done trying to link Acorn -- which factually did not do anything wrong -- to Obama.
- inactive, on 10/20/2008, -9/+27except that the ACORN thing was total ***** to begin with, and this wasn't.
- bertterpstra, on 10/20/2008, -9/+27Now I understand: to bring democracy to Iraq Bush/McCain have to take it away from the USA!
- ArtTridentata, on 10/20/2008, -10/+27This suprises no one.
Biz as usual for the GOP & McCain. - OregonRusalka, on 10/21/2008, -7/+18Lord! Is there no depth to which this man will sink!
- virtualval2001, on 10/21/2008, -8/+19The Ruse of ACORN was just to deflect attention. ACORN self-identified, as they are supposed to. this guy was flat out busted.
- lucia2, on 10/20/2008, -8/+18Send this to your friends! This is big. This is scary.
- griffe, on 10/21/2008, -7/+15Why hasn't CNN (The best political channel on television) picked this up yet? Talk about ACORN but not this... "Keeping it Honest", yeah right.
- charm803, on 10/21/2008, -2/+10For one, ACORN itself was the one that flagged suspicious forms.
Second, Obama didn't HIRE ACORN for voter registration.
Third, the only work Obama hired them to do canvassing way before this ever came out.
Glass houses. Stones. - goldenpixie1, on 10/20/2008, -9/+17Truly a desperate, low-down, evil man!
- inactive, on 10/20/2008, -3/+11there are fourteen pointing at him in the thumbnail alone...
- inactive, on 10/21/2008, -3/+11The mccain is fastly becoming a giant joke. Palin is a walking teleprompter, and McCain is loosing his mind especially when it comes to local affairs like education.
- birdly, on 10/21/2008, -11/+19There is a BIG difference between allegations and arrests.
There is also a big difference between lazy volunteers at ACORN writing Mickey Mouse's name on a form and the RNC paying someone $175,000 to commit and conceal voter fraud in several states.
If you can't see the difference, you're part of the problem. - RevLoki, on 10/21/2008, -5/+12It's OK If You're A Republican!
Ohh, I do love hypocrisy! - will2000, on 10/20/2008, -9/+15The right to vote is perhaps the most important right that we, as americans, have. this man, nathan sproul, who tried to taint the process and perhaps even cheat, makes me sick.
- subterfuge, on 10/21/2008, -0/+6DigPiglet, a good way to convince people of something is to NOT insult them. it's basic diplomacy.
- JoeMondo, on 10/21/2008, -0/+6I don't know that it ALWAYS does.
But I know those of weaker character go corrupt more quickly. - MWeather, on 10/21/2008, -5/+10Republican ACORN? Why would that be a controversy? They're SUPPOSED to turn in the false registrations. Not doing so would be illegal.
Unlike the manufactured ACORN controversy this might actually involve broken laws. - Nina28, on 10/21/2008, -1/+6You might wanna pull your head out of the sand and look into Rick Davis a current McCain TOP adviser who is a powerful lobbyist and golden boy of Freddie/Fanny, he continued to receive big checks from them up until the end of August.
- Lutremi, on 10/21/2008, -3/+8Now I don't claim to be a genius (or hell, even just vanilla level-headed), but they wouldn't exactly be broadcasting the fact they're committing voter fraud on their website, would they?
- MWeather, on 10/21/2008, -1/+6"What's manufactured about the Acorn story?"
The story isn't manufactured, the controversy is. ACORN reports false registrations, then turns them in as required by law.
If you leave out the part where ACORN reports the fraud, it appears that ACORN is trying to pass off false registrations as legitimate. By leaving that out of the story, a controversy is born. - decimatedburito, on 10/21/2008, -1/+5And Rick Davis received money from Fannie/Freddie up until the very day the government bailed them out.
- inactive, on 10/21/2008, -0/+4Wow, knee-jerks from uppitydiggers -and- good ol' Jimmy.
Must have said something true... - groo68, on 10/21/2008, -1/+5These are not the acorns your looking for.
- snotrokit, on 10/21/2008, -3/+7Rove's rules engagement. Rule number 1: Find your weakness and accuse the other party of it before they get to you. This is a classic Roveian tactic. What a dick.
- RoaringMoose, on 10/21/2008, -0/+4The truth hurts
- lancert, on 10/21/2008, -0/+4Ok. Here's the deal. McCain's campaign on many issues has pointed fingers at Obama first in order to hide something they know they will be caught doing sometime in the near future. It makes them look less guilty and like the Obama campaign is pulling a tit-for-tat maneuver and diverts attention away from them.
Examples:
- Acorn vs. the guy in this article
- Sexism (calling the media sexist for examining Palin, yet allowing Alec Baldwin to call her "sexier in person" on SNL)
- Racism - saying that Obama has been using the race card since early on then pulling the recent stuff they have in their rallies.
- Paling with terrorists knowing full well that McCain has hung with G. Gordon Libby
- Calling Obama a socialist knowing full well that McCain supported the bailout.
That's the few I can think of... Got others? - RoaringMoose, on 10/21/2008, -1/+4Smells like this one came out of your A$$
- heystoopid, on 10/21/2008, -1/+4Funny which poll were you using for pollster com shows McFraud is trailing in Ohio and in Florida the latest Faux shows he is rapidly in decline in that State as well .
Critical Electoral College votes also show McFraud trailing by over 150 to his better opponent .
Nice Kool Aid you are drinking ? - WorldGroove, on 10/21/2008, -6/+9http://digg.com/users/poprocksandsoda/history/comm ...
I just clicked on this story to look for your illogical comment and bury it. - Bombenhagel, on 10/21/2008, -0/+3Just vote... if your vote is challenged, call CNN at 1-877-GO CNN 08. Be a champion for others; hang out at the polls on November 4th.
- inactive, on 10/21/2008, -6/+9Do volunteers include paid ACORN staff?
Just sayin' - Bith8654, on 10/21/2008, -1/+4@DigPiglet: Rest assured, you're childish insults and demonizing of the other side only helps to further bring down the country you claim to love so much.
- Atertract, on 10/21/2008, -4/+7The old trick of accusing your opponent of the crimes you yourself are guilty of doesn't seem to work too well in the Internet age.
- eth3l, on 10/21/2008, -3/+6Oh! Sorry, this election is not about associations! irrelevent.!
- springfels, on 10/21/2008, -1/+4TOP 5 REASONS OBAMA SUPPORTERS SHOULDN'T REST EASY
1. The polls may be wrong. This is an unprecedented election. No one knows how racism may affect what voters tell pollsters—or what they do in the voting booth. And the polls are narrowing anyway. In the last few days, John McCain has gained ground in most national polls, as his campaign has gone even more negative.
2. Dirty tricks. Republicans are already illegally purging voters from the rolls in some states. They're whipping up hysteria over ACORN to justify more challenges to new voters. Misleading flyers about the voting process have started appearing in black neighborhoods. And of course, many counties still use unsecure voting machines.
3. October surprise. In politics, 15 days is a long time. The next McCain smear could dominate the news for a week. There could be a crisis with Iran, or Bin Laden could release another tape, or worse.
4. Those who forget history... In 2000, Al Gore won the popular vote after trailing by seven points in the final days of the race. In 1980, Reagan was eight points down in the polls in late October and came back to win. Races can shift—fast!
5. Landslide. Even with Barack Obama in the White House, passing universal health care and a new clean-energy policy is going to be hard. Insurance, drug and oil companies will fight us every step of the way. We need the kind of landslide that will give Barack a huge mandate. - chillin34nick, on 10/21/2008, -3/+6This is what happens in a society where winning is the most important thing. If this man actually cared about being leader so bad, you would think he would exemplify it by spending his money on something helpful to get votes. McCain would rather just buy his votes
- kingmanic, on 10/21/2008, -1/+4That is the type of cynicism that allows terrible ***** to happen. Don't expect this or you'll come to accept this.
- ColRanger, on 10/21/2008, -1/+3No suprise from McSlime and company----
- HartgE46, on 10/21/2008, -0/+2ignorant ass. anyone who looks at the facts wouldn't believe your ACORN argument for a second, stop wasting your time and move on to the next attack.
- MWeather, on 10/21/2008, -0/+2So if you wanted to register false voters, you would do so by flagging the registration as false?
Either you're astroturfing, or you are retarded. Given your previous ban, I'm leaning toward the latter. Though the two are not mutually exclusive. - virtualval2001, on 10/21/2008, -2/+4Again...finger pointed, three back at him.
- HartgE46, on 10/21/2008, -0/+2@mrfoos2 - Hey look everybody, it's another one of those ignorant and gullible GOP'ers that doesn't fact check for *****.
