Proof!! Sarah Palin Was Member Of AIP!
This is an Alaska Independence Party meeting,a radical group that wanted Alaska to secede from The United States.
Sarah and Todd Palin were both members
She claimed she never was, but the AIP says otherwise in this video.

McCain and pallin accuse a fellow American of terrorism/supporting terror.etc
and you people can still call obama un-American?
OVER 3000 Americans died on 9/11 5000 in Afghanistan and Iraq in the war on terror
and McCain/palin use their lives as a stick for politics?
MCCAIN has SOLD his HONOR for the promise of POWER - BishkekBuddy, on 10/06/2008, -3/+48Hey McShameless, defend your association with G. Gordon Liddy, convicted criminal; defend your association with Charles Keating; defend your association with Iran/Contra.
People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones... or maybe you missed that lesson in school? - skteoievtehr, on 10/06/2008, -4/+42DESPICABLE.
- avataros, on 10/06/2008, -3/+39I bet Palin would've winked.
- AmericanElitist, on 10/06/2008, -3/+38I fully disagree with the statement that McCain is in no way responsible for this utterance. As he and his stooge Palin go around shwoing there is nothing too low they won't do to win thei race the message is clear to their supporters - go low. And today the lowest form of insult, fear mongering, hate speech you can do is to call someone a terrorist. By running the ultimately slimy campaign that McCain is running he has done enough to be responsible for the message he is sending his supporters, but his fault is even more direct when he and his stooge go around repeating the lie that Obama pals around with terrorists. It is not a stretch to say that a person who pals around with terrorists is a terrorist and McCain is responsible for taking his supporters down that path. It is all not far removed from the red baiting of McCarthyism - the hint of guilt by an association that does not really exist. To think that a Presidential candidate in this day and age would resort to such tactics should be mortifying to all.
- Yatata, on 10/07/2008, -3/+36this culture war is getting scary. the way the term "liberal" is being spit with such venom is very reminiscent to the way the term "Jew" was used, or tootsie, or blacks, it's a dangerous ossification of tribal mentality and I wouldn't be surprised if this intensified dehumanization led to violence from the right. A clear line needs to be drawn NOW by john McCain and Sarah Palin that that kind of dehumanizing language is unacceptable, before it spirals out of control at their encouragement.
- Rutabaga64, on 10/07/2008, -4/+25This is truly nauseating that the McCain campaign has come to this. Especially since McCain had earlier vowed to not run a negative campaign.
I can't help but wonder if McCain will ever wake up and realize what a Faustian situation he's in, that he's sold his soul to the devil in order to obtain the presidency. The McCain of 2000 is dead, replaced by a man who is using the same people and the same playbook that destroyed him 8 years ago. His campaign is NOT about "Country First," it's "John McCain First," and he will do anything and everything, no matter how reprehensible, in order to achieve his goal.
It's sad. Sad, sad, sad. - jericho4119, on 10/06/2008, -2/+23And yet it is McCain who proudly brandishes his friendship with the man convicted of attempting to pervert a presidential election.
Or maybe you also think G. Gordon Liddy is a hero? - jericho4119, on 10/06/2008, -0/+20A political colleague? What - pray tell - is that? And is it anything like using your Senate office to browbeat regulators into looking the other way, while a major campaign contributor steals from bank deposits?
- xt0xicx, on 10/07/2008, -2/+22Sounds like a KKK meeting.
- inactive, on 10/07/2008, -2/+20Where is the outrage? Why are so few in the media actually talking about this? Where are all of these so called responsible journalists? Liberal media huh? That's laughable! I PROPOSE WE DO A LITTLE PHONE BANKING,DONATE MONEY OR TIME OR DO CANVASSING FOR THIS CAMPAIGN!!!! I DON'T WANNA HAVE ANY REGRETS THIS TIME...WE CAN'T HAVE A REPEAT OF 2000 OR 2004!!! What is being said by McCain and Palin is influencing people to say things like "kill him" or "he's a terrorist" at their rallies for gods sake! Does this not trouble anyone....look what happened recently with the wackos who listen to Limbaugh,O'Reilly and Hannity....does everyone remember the guy who went into the church and opened fire on innocent people killing and injuring them....and his reasoning? Liberals are the problem he said...and they found O'Reilly,Hannity and Limbaugh books in his house! Palin and McCain are now spewing this same vile crap that actually puts Obama and his family in physical danger....who cares about the politics...they are wrong and their lies have been debunked....we need to address the VERY REAL DANGER THESE SMEARS PRESENT!!!!
- nernie, on 10/07/2008, -5/+22This reeks of desperation, but the truth of the matter is that it's up to each of us whether we allow it to work.
Let's show the country that the young generation gets it and we're ready to have an impact on this election. We get it. We can make this country better. We need to get everybody we know to vote.
http://make.ourpledgetovote.com/ - 10snut, on 10/07/2008, -2/+18Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. McCain is such a hypocrite.
- inactive, on 10/07/2008, -3/+19John McCain is a media-created, phony war-hero. He's not fit to be a senator, let alone president.
- beanwell, on 10/07/2008, -2/+17Yeah, that is pretty terrible. You could completely tell he heard it as well, seeing that he made a face right after the man said it.
- magus_melchior, on 10/06/2008, -2/+17He never learned any lessons. Read the Rolling Stone article on McCain-- it documents how he never grew up from the spoiled son/grandson of admirals that he is.
- algaeturd, on 10/07/2008, -3/+17McCain is a traitor. He doesn't know ANYTHING about the ideals this country was founded on and he knows nothing about honor or truth. I don't care if he spent years in a cage as a POW....he may have very well been brave and honorable back then. What happened, John? You forgot all about decency in your power grab to get what you want. Your train went off the tracks when you became confused and erratic.
You've taken the ideals of this country, chewed them up and spit them into the faces of your uneducated supporters in an attempt to take advantage of their ignorance.
I guess that's what you do when you can't discuss the real issues and you're LOSING you power grab for president. I hope when this is over, the neo-cons are chased out of Washington. Let the TRUE republicans, the ones that understand truth, honor and conservatism rebuild the party and try to help it recover. Current republicans are an embarrassment to the country. Period. Case closed. Re-structure your party, losers. You've destroyed this country in the past 8 years, you can't stick to the issues and you have spent money in an historically reckless fashion. Back to square one with the GOP. - lovebuttons, on 10/07/2008, -0/+12McCain is not an honorable man. Anyone who would attack an innocent well respected individual such as Obama is a man I have no respect for. How McCain could make such accusations is beyond me. McCain asked who the real Obama is; well at least I now know who the real McCain is.
- Shiloah, on 10/07/2008, -2/+14These thugs are fanning the flames of hatred like fiends from the pit of hell. May God help us all, and may He repay them with fury according to their deeds.
- Moodswung, on 10/07/2008, -5/+17Anyone with a half a brain will realize this is setting a new low. What the ***** is McCain trying to pull with this *****?
- RIB08, on 10/07/2008, -4/+16At least he did not acknowledge him. Sarah would have probably nominated him to her cabinet.
Irony - the guy who was cited by the Senate Ethics Committee as having poor judgment attacking his opponent for poor judgment. - acroyear2, on 10/06/2008, -2/+12That doesn't make him a terrorist. McCain was in Vietnam. He probably knows men who killed babies...

Anti-semitism is waiting in the wings; see: http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Palin_preacher_J ...
This inflammatory hate-mongering rhetoric is heinous. It is profoundly dangerous to the people of the United States, and to Barrack Obama personally. McCain and Palin will be held accountable for whatever evil ensues from their tactics. "Sow to the wind, reap the whirlwind." - juliehardman, on 10/07/2008, -0/+10Most people concerned about the Muslim faith are nothing more than racist people who don't have the balls to say so. Now I will admit that I am not the smartest person in the world however I am at least educated enough to know that ones name has nothing to do with how they will perform in their job. I guess I did not make my point. So let me clarify, those athletes that I mentioned are the best at what they do despite their faith. So saying Obama would not make a good President because of his name is just plain stupid. The one thing that I know about Obama is that he has a good grasp on the English language and can throw a really good sentence together. Now having said that, I would say that five different Universities tried and failed to teach Sarah Palin the same thing.
Regardless of what religion Obama is or is not I will still vote for him on the merits of his political views. If he has a Muslim middle name than so what. If he does not wear a flag pin, so what. I know in my mind he makes more sense than anyone on the right at this time. McCain in 2000 is not the same McCain we have today. In 2000 if McCain had been the Republican nominee I would have voted for him. Today he has flip-flopped on so many things I can not or will not vote for a man who takes a populist stance just to get elected. - Bowie, on 10/07/2008, -3/+13For 8 years, we've watched a dolt in the Oval Office try to drive a nail with a loaf of bread. It's time to start looking for a hammer, not switch to whole wheat.
- Yatata, on 10/07/2008, -3/+12a blogger from the washington post comments about the person at the Palin rally who yelled "kill him!" to cheers from the crowd:
"These are the tactics of racist demagogues, not of people seeking to lead a pluralistic democracy. Assassination and violence are conceivable results of these rants, and all ethical Republican leaders ought to be denouncing McCain & Palin from the rooftops by now."
this is completely inexcusable, unless you want partisan violence erupting across the country, McCain and Palin need to pour some cold ice water over their lynch mobs before this all gets out of control. - BlaqReaper, on 10/07/2008, -2/+11Obama shows McCain respect and even acknowledges him as a war hero. On the other hand, McCain constantly criticizes Obama and some of his political ads are despicable and borderline slander. It's not what these men say that show their true characters, but what they do.
...or maybe McCain is too old and couldn't hear the guy screaming terrorist, just throwing that out there. - inactive, on 10/07/2008, -2/+11I've read this whole thread and not a single Conservative who says that the statement is out of line. It's one thing to support your candidate. It's completely another thing to advocate the murder of his opponent. Wow. Just wow.
- mousers1968, on 10/07/2008, -1/+10I am starting to question if these are political rallies or Klan rallies?
- inactive, on 12/08/2008, -1/+10This is not only disgusting, it's frightening. He's get people revved up with hatred that isn't going to just turn off when they leave the rally. If he keeps this there are going to race riots in the streets, attacks on the mosques, and maybe next in the synagogues.
- inactive, on 10/07/2008, -2/+11That guy should have shouted, "The future President of the United States!" instead. Can pretty much guarantee McCain would notice that. ;)
- juliehardman, on 10/07/2008, -1/+10Stupidity at its highest level!
People think Muhammad Ali is the greatest boxer to ever live. Guess what he is a Muslim! Kareem Abdul Jabar is one of the best basketball players to ever live. Guess what he is a Muslim. - LOVE10, on 10/07/2008, -2/+11This is pathetic! I bet you the person who said "Kill Him" is someone who claims to be a Christian.
- wherearemymeds, on 10/07/2008, -1/+9Mr. McCain,
You do the greatest injustice, not to Dems and Obama, not to Repub supporters, but to the entire thought of civilized mankind.
It's clear that you heard and were surprised by the 'kill him' comment, and then you just smirked.
Is that what your politcial aspirations have sunk to? Win at any cost and condone murder?
This is truly the most heinous thing I've seen and heard.
Is this what you wish to be your legacy? - V0lk, on 10/07/2008, -1/+9so, did the guy who shouted "kill him!" get arrested by the secret service? That IS threatening a presidential candidate.
- BIGOTHER1, on 10/07/2008, -1/+9I fear that this seems like they are clinging to a hope for some nut they stir up and spur on to attack Obama -- recall that wishful thinking about assassination did in HRC's campaign.
- nova912, on 10/07/2008, -1/+9I'd like my President to have the ***** principals and backbone to call that kind of bull ***** behavior out, not run away from it.

- Ajajadude, on 10/07/2008, -0/+7You betcha!!!
- Renegade98, on 10/07/2008, -1/+8Why do we have any reason to believe that McCain/Palin would bring people together if elected when they are too busy creating hate and division out on the campaign trail. Polls say Palin is not qualified and I don't think anyone can argue that she is, but if McCain is elected and dies while in office, which I expect will more likely that not happen because of his health issues, then there will be no saving America. I liked McCain at one time but he has changed and it may be that he has had some miniature strokes TIAs relating to his boughts of cancer, which would explain is very erratic behavior. As for McCain and Palin calling themselves Mavericks, they are not mavericks and never were. Have a look at the Real Mavericks and their family and see what they think. Here is the link. - miguad98, on 10/07/2008, -1/+7This is insane but not surprising. The McCain Palin ticket have finally showed their true colors, He that he is spinless vs. the extremists in his party, and her that she is but a backwards anti-intellectual . The good news, is that the truth is finally coming out. In the end, people don't change, they just become more of who they really are.

- Renegade98, on 10/07/2008, -1/+7The real Mavericks speak up.
Originally published in the NY Times but picked up by Tacoma News Tribune is a story about the real Maverick family and how they feel about McCain and Palin calling themselves mavericks. It's really a rather humorous story.
"I’m just enraged that McCain calls himself a maverick," said Terrellita Maverick, 82, a San Antonio native who proudly carries the name of a family that has been known for its progressive politics since the 1600s, when an early ancestor in Boston got into trouble with the law over his agitation for the rights of indentured servants.
