- zephyear, on 07/22/2008, -13/+93it's his fault, he said obama should go to iraq, so obama did
- cmonroe, on 07/22/2008, -23/+60McCain states, "Sen. Obama would rather lose the war in Iraq in order to win a campaign." What has McCain been doing in all his years as Senator? Voting against every bill that is beneficial to our Nation . Now, he's having to flip-flop on all the issues that he should have been concerned with, but now wants to act like he is concerned - in order to win the election. Of course he's frustrated and jealous! Obama, during his responding to the many questions from each journalist, looked poised, presidential and definitely trusts his own judgment!
Obama is who we've been waiting for! Obama '08 - SheilaNoya, on 07/22/2008, -11/+44LOL
Your Benny Hinn reference cracked me up because it's right on the mark. Bobby Jindal would definitely add an "ethnic look" and his past claims of being a faith healer and an exorcist might be just what the Republican party needs right now. Perhaps Jindal could dance around shaking rattlesnakes and help the GOP cast out their demons.
After hearing McCain fumble for words in the last few days, it sounds like he's already speaking in tongues. - inactive, on 07/22/2008, -12/+42It will be interesting to see all the right wing idiots who scream their heads off about Barack HUSSEIN Obama explain why a guy named Piyush calls himself "Bobby."
- inactive, on 07/22/2008, -18/+47If McCain took a trip overseas nobody would notice. Unless he was the pilot.
- inactive, on 07/22/2008, -34/+63McCain's has to pick that Indian jesus freak Jindal as his running mate now because he needs to inject some youth and "ethnicity" into his campaign, because so far Obama is eating his lunch.
Too bad Jindal looks even more like an ooky terrorist than Obama. Republican ***** couldn't handle a mormon, so what makes anyone think they'll vote for a dark skinned moslem-ish dude? He should just get it over with and pick Benny Hinn. - fleischner, on 07/22/2008, -4/+28It's headline-grabbing because the media WANT it to be headline-grabbing.
- lewhich, on 07/22/2008, -22/+42Making that speech in the "green room" before Obama's primaries victory speech apparently didn't tech these guys anything!
Lesson: McSame & GOP - don't try to get attention when it is due to Obama, you only end up looking pointless and like a whining turd - inactive, on 07/22/2008, -11/+30I'm very much looking forward to Obama making lunchmeat out of that doddering old fool.
- Verchiel77, on 07/22/2008, -18/+37Poor old McCranky. He couldn't stop whining about how Obama hasn't "seen things on the ground" and now that he went and did just that, it blew up in his face.
How does that one taste, Methuselah? - bjornski, on 07/22/2008, -5/+23@WasabiBomb
Because, if you can't read the dripping sarcasm in his post, he's making FUN of the people who are picking on his middle name.
People with an actual clue don't care. - inactive, on 07/22/2008, -15/+32But McCain made a historic trip to the Internets this weekend.
lol
***** this fossil. - nates, on 07/22/2008, -12/+29Damn you kids, get off my lawn!
McCain is just an annoying, senile old man at this point. It's pretty sad to watch, but even more sad to think that people will actually vote for him. - cadmiumpaint, on 07/22/2008, -18/+34McCain = the status quo. The whole world knows this so they have no interest in what he has to say.
- diggit83, on 07/22/2008, -10/+26Biting him in the ass isnt it? I love it
- jaxter2010, on 06/17/2009, -15/+30The Huffington post has digg buttons to 6 other articles at the bottom of each page for their readers to digg. While technically legal, I hate this because its just the same readers who keep digging everything at HP, causing all this HP spam that most people don't want to read. I wouldn't be surprised if most those readers hitting the digg buttons arent even reading the articles.
- vexingmodstwo, on 07/22/2008, -8/+23I guarantee you they aren't reading the articles.
- erichansenchao, on 07/22/2008, -11/+25Both Bush and McCain are douchebags for trying to make Obama look bad for doing something right
- pyry, on 07/22/2008, -9/+22Well, it's kind of hard to feel good about yourself when you're watching baseball with Rudy Giuliani while your opponent is out attempting to improve international relations. Oops!
- MercedRocks, on 07/22/2008, -5/+17"Jesus Freak?" Talk about hyperbole.
- MortalynFlux, on 07/22/2008, -10/+22Well, McCain is the one who originally suggested for Obama to go visit Iraq back during the primaries. Be careful what you wish for.
http://blog.oregonlive.com/politics/2008/05/mccain ... - bjornski, on 07/22/2008, -9/+20I don't care that he's Indian.
But I AM concerned about his "I took part in an exorcism" and his pushing some mystical ***** to be taught in science class.
The man is a whack-job. You may as well put Hagee or Robertson on the ticket, with their calls to "hurry about the end times".
These people are insane. - ancientshoes, on 07/22/2008, -13/+24"dark skinned moslem dude"? Go back under your bridge, you racist *****
- kenedamick, on 07/22/2008, -22/+32I love digging the Huffington posts if for no other reason just to annoy the neo-tards. HA! Someone grab old man McCain's crazy pills! He's getting grumpy!
- VitriolAndAngst, on 07/22/2008, -2/+12Did he need the 4 platoons, 27 helicopters, and 3 feet of flack jacket to buy rugs at a bazaar?
Yeah, Obama met with real leaders and got Maliki to endorse his plan for withdrawal.
But to be fair, Iraqis would probably agree to a "pack your bags and get on the plane" tomorrow plan from anyone. - inactive, on 07/22/2008, -4/+14Obama doesn't run and hide from his ethnicity. Jindal is postively embarassed about his.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Jindal
"According to family lore, Jindal adopted the name "Bobby" from the character Bobby Brady after watching The Brady Bunch television series at age four."

Now Johnnie Mac is boo hoo-ing to the press while riding around in golf carts with Bush the First.
Presidential?
Looks retired to me. - peticsu, on 07/22/2008, -14/+22I was watching that speech he gave to those vets yesterday, he looked and sounded really pissed off...
I knew McCain has a temper problem but dang, at least pretend like you're cool, calm, and collective. - milkmage, on 07/22/2008, -2/+10why do you bother to see if you're getting dugg or buried. leave your comment (you ARE right, it's collected) and go do something else.
- badjoke, on 07/22/2008, -1/+8He also claimed he walked freely around the market and everything was happy sunshine-land. In truth, he was protected by about a dozen bodyguards and a gunship.
- FredFredrickson, on 07/22/2008, -7/+14I believe the word is "collected."
- dalittle, on 07/22/2008, -5/+12I am frustrated with how Obama voted on FISA. What kind of constitutional freedoms will the Iraq's be getting?
- ouzome, on 07/22/2008, -8/+15I'll use your pally Marumekomu's comments for you!
"Come back when you stop using mindless insults and start using arguments grounded in logic, kthx." - growler1, on 07/22/2008, -0/+7Okay. I'm wading in here. You guys throw around the RNC talking points like they're unimpeachable (pun intended), but I have a few questions for you:
What does a "win" in Iraq look like? Is it when the democratically elected and Bush-backed president asks for the same withdrawal plan as Obama? Should we dust off the "Mission Accomplished" banner? Maybe make it into a bikini top for the statue of Liberty this time?
What was the goal of the "surge" in the first place, and isn't it really true that yes, larger numbers of forces (that the military had been begging for since before the *start* of the war) have made Baghdad safer, but isn't it also true that we've been just giving CASH to Sunni militias to fight al qaeda (who is there because of us)--which means we're basically paying them not to kill our soldiers? Is that what you consider "success"? To me, that seems like a mostly temporary PR solution--which is par for the course from this shoddy, incompetent administration.

- Marumekomu, on 07/22/2008, -14/+20"The guys been consistently WRONG on Iraq"
Matter of opinion.
"ol` Hussein Obammy"
Come back when you stop using mindless insults and start using arguments grounded in logic, kthx. - sizzzzlerz, on 07/22/2008, -0/+6Obama will positively wipe the floor with McSame. His only hope will be to wear the same receiver that bush wore under his jacket in his debate with Kerry so he could be prompted for the answers from his puppet masters.
- inactive, on 07/22/2008, -4/+10"How did The Surge work? Please explain in terms of reduced casualties and financial savings. "
Why not listen to OBAMA if not me?
Obama at a Democratic debate, January 5, 2008:
"I had no doubt, and I said when I opposed the surge, that given how wonderfully our troops perform, if we place 30,000 more troops in there, then we would see an improvement in the security situation and we would see a reduction in the violence."
And yes comparing USA and IRAQ deaths from 2008 to 2007 USA deaths AND IRAQI deaths are closer to about 60-70% down, bombers down.
"Obama claims talking with Iran will help = stupid"
"Why? Please explain."
Because it's been tried, many times before, with sanctions. This is a group of leaders that has children run across land mines and charge enemy fire unarmed for martyrdom. The president begins each address with the hopes of the 12th imam coming and destruction of the western nations and Israel.
They have spent 100s of millions on the city and site where they wish the 12th imam to come ( which can only be brought about by world war).
"When should we expect to be in the black if we continue in Iraq?"
No one knows, we shouldnt know exactly. When certain benchmarks and goals are reached and agreed upon with the Iraq government.
"What is the ROI of the US invading Iraq?" no more saddam - nuff said. You're right, we could have had cheap oil had we dealt with the Devil.
"Why should we be in Iraq?" Saddam. Attacking his own people. Attacking neighboring countries, 100,000s dying because sanctions not working. Frankly we should have cleaned it up and stayed after Desert Storm. It would have been easier.
"What about Afghanistan?" Afghan doesnt have much of a trouble of effecting the world. If Iran and Syria get ahold of Iraq, they can influence oil and thus influence nations, and create nuclear weapons without anyone able to enforce sanctions because of threat of oil embargoes.
OK???

Just because a guy doesn't suck dick doesn't mean he doesn't want to. - greenmountain, on 07/22/2008, -2/+8My Mom.
The influential and great Democrat FDR was pres for her entire childhood.
She loved JFK,carter.
Voted Clinton,Gore Kerry. Democrat to the DNA.
In the past I had mentioned leftist media bias.
This does not exist, was her position. She never saw it.
This week, she called me to ask what was up with the media being so slanted. - danfive555, on 07/22/2008, -1/+7McCain probably can't win an argument with his wife, how is he going to handle the smooth patronizing Obama?
- york2600, on 07/23/2008, -2/+8Let me get this straight. You're attacking someone for being racist by calling them a fag? Really...
- WasabiBomb, on 07/22/2008, -3/+8Crap, bjornski, I knew that... I was, uh, just testing stagmire. Yeah, that's it.
Sheesh. I picked a bad to week to quit smokin' crack.
I apologize, stagmire. - inactive, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5I guess McCain's bbqs with the press--whom he calls "his base"--just doesn't cut it these days, huh?
- KidVicious, on 07/22/2008, -11/+16Obama doesn't have to create failure; it's already there.
- inactive, on 07/23/2008, -2/+7No, the fact that the other major candidate in this election is completely losing his marbles is what should make you wanna vote Obama. Dugg.
