- jbdobd, on 06/18/2008, -8/+117McCain was for C*nts before he was against them.
- lukas88, on 06/19/2008, -14/+107As comedy, it was funny, but what is not funny is that everyone is taking it seriously. Here are the facts:
The whole trollop story first appeared in "The Real McCain" by Cliff Schecter, a book meant to smear McCain. Schecter cites three anonymous reporters on the incident.
Now I'm not a McCain supporter, just look at my comment history. But if this kind of thing was attributed to Obama and had only three anonymous people as backup and appeared in a book written by an opponent, how much credit would digg put in it then? It would get buried instantly. Since it is about McCain it gets dugg. - inactive, on 06/18/2008, -13/+97what the ***** is a trollop anyways you old man?
Ohh never mind I will use this space age device called a computer to look it up. I know you have NEVER touched a computer, which uniquely qualifies you to run the free world in the 21st century.
"Trollop: a vulgar or disreputable woman; especially : one who engages in sex promiscuously or for money."
Well ain't that swell... - Ridgeliner7, on 06/18/2008, -14/+64"We can no longer afford to build ourselves up by tearing someone else down. We can no longer afford to traffic in lies or fear or hate. It is the poison that we must purge!" -- Barack Obama
- diggproof, on 06/19/2008, -4/+52I so want the media to refer to this as *****
- grlykool, on 06/18/2008, -2/+39A trollop is a word that fell out of favor in the 19th century. I tried looking up the history of that word. A trollop is basically a woman of "ill repute" or a hooker.
Heck "Hussy" would have been more current. - publiclurker, on 06/19/2008, -1/+27He should show more respect for his sugar mama.
- pbslya, on 06/19/2008, -5/+31At least 4 different journalists who were present have independently confirmed the comment made by John McCain.
- swrostmore, on 06/19/2008, -15/+39Funny video, but campaign gossip from 1992 is not really germane to the political discourse in 2008.
- Sfenton, on 06/19/2008, -3/+27Thank you for being honest.
- Ridgeliner7, on 06/18/2008, -2/+25"We can no longer afford to build ourselves up by tearing someone else down. We can no longer afford to traffic in lies or fear or hate. It is the poison that we must purge!" -- Barack Obama
- cnot3, on 06/19/2008, -4/+26Has anyone stopped to consider that perhaps McCain's wife is a *****?
- edwartica, on 06/19/2008, -0/+22Mcain is older than your grandma.
- Ajajadude, on 06/19/2008, -1/+21Yeah, if you're my grandma.
- wesleyzero, on 06/19/2008, -8/+26"Just give her a kick in the *****!" - Jack Black
http://youtube.com/watch?v=LKCN3CSLZuI - charm803, on 06/19/2008, -1/+16People are still spreading the gossip about Michelle Obama saying "whitey" when there is no proof.
What the hell is this world coming to? - charm803, on 06/19/2008, -2/+17I would like to agree, but the opposing party insists on bringing up Obama's elementary school.....
- MortalynFlux, on 06/19/2008, -3/+17McCunt, er, McCain apparently is two centuries behind the times. We should start referring to him as McCANE since it won't be long before he'll be walking with one.
- mentallyinhell, on 06/18/2008, -25/+39Is that his wife in the background? She looks like such a *****.
- DannySpace, on 06/19/2008, -7/+21C'mon people...***** we all just get along?
- inactive, on 06/19/2008, -0/+11She already did ,John Mccain is 25 years old
- DoctorFaust, on 06/19/2008, -8/+19If someone found out that Obama called someone a ***** when he was 17 you'd best believe it would be all over the news for the next two months. Don't complain, since the Internet is probably the only place anyone would hear about a story like this.
- SheilaNoya, on 06/18/2008, -8/+18She can't help it. She has so much Botox in her face that she can't make facial expressions. The plastic surgery she had done on her forehead to pull her eyebrows up is probably giving her a perpetual headache too. She paid a lot of money to look like a "Stepford Wife". Her polymer skin and polyester hair is almost convincing.
- aphexcoil, on 06/19/2008, -0/+10I want the both of you in church on Sunday and ready to go hunting afterwards.
Sincerely,
a republican. - democrats, on 06/19/2008, -3/+13Guys I'm no Mccain support but seriously - did she really have to target his hair?
- Tebixan, on 06/19/2008, -1/+10Unfortunately, the majority of McCain supporters probably don't know much about how to use a computer or the internet either. If they do, it's probably only as a word processor and maybe a way to play solitaire. If we're lucky they have an email account.
This means the only news his supporters will hear is the headline grabbing garbage of the MSM. While they will certainly attack both candidates, information about both Obama and McCain will likely play second fiddle to anything having to do with celebrity gossip or fearmongering - carlosglz, on 06/19/2008, -2/+11In its uncensored glory:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Euu_DMhsXQo - Tebixan, on 06/19/2008, -1/+10True, but at the beginning of the video they made a mention of how they wanted to play this up like the Wright tapes, which was also a smear tactic used by the right & the media, that held little relevance to todays campaign.
They appear to be pointing out the fact that irrelevant smear is okay, as long as it doesn't contain any bad words. Though the MSM didn't seam to have any problem playing Rev. Write shouting "GODDAMN" over and over again, which is also very offense to many Americans. Therefore, we can deduce that the MSM is picking and choosing which irrelevant smear campaigns to play up - reventlov, on 06/19/2008, -0/+8I think you're right. 1992 wasa long time ago. Given how often he flip-flops on things, there is at best a 50% chance he would call his wife a ***** in front of reporters in 2008.
- tumatakuru, on 06/19/2008, -0/+8He has totally flip-flopped on the issue.
- dunderballer, on 06/18/2008, -26/+34Sounds like a swiftboat style smear. I don't think the journalist that say they overheard it identified themselves. If there is no audio or video or at least a journalist that personally heard it willing to come forward that we have heard of, this should be assumed to be a baseless smear.
- vault, on 06/18/2008, -2/+9catty much?
- Pake, on 06/19/2008, -5/+11It's from the Huffingtonpost. Anyone who bets against it not making the front page would be someone who hasn't been on Digg very long.
- Olivaise, on 06/19/2008, -2/+8"As we are here downtown anxiously waiting the arrival of Senator John McCunt."
- Enderpanda, on 06/19/2008, -0/+6I'm amused by the inappropriateness of your comment.
Sincerely,
another democrat. - kylethompson1, on 06/19/2008, -0/+6You're a douche.
- charm803, on 06/19/2008, -0/+6yes we *****!
- charm803, on 06/19/2008, -2/+8And, from this day forward, any mention of McCain referring to his trollop wife as a "*****" shall be known as *****. And shall it be, according to the gospel of diggproof.
- yossariantwin, on 06/19/2008, -1/+7I wonder if his ex wife was a ***** too
- kinggimped, on 06/19/2008, -0/+5Catty but unerringly accurate.
- sugarazor, on 06/19/2008, -0/+5Except it's not. It's from a political satire group, the HuffPost just shared it.
- charm803, on 06/19/2008, -2/+7I think you misunderstood me. I agree that it's a waste of bandwidth to bring up things that happened (or not) clearly many years ago.
What I'm saying is that the majority of these people think it's worth mentioning.
I don't although I find the humor in it. Unfortunately, the masses are made up of ignorant people who rely on internet for gossip.
So, no I'm not wrong. - doremon313, on 06/19/2008, -5/+10vote for Sen. McCunt!
- anon2002, on 06/19/2008, -3/+8Maybe he just spent alot of time downunder. Here we use the C word as a term of endearment, we call someone who is really nice a good cu** and someone who is particularly funny a funny cu**
Example:
Do you know John?
Yeah, I know John, he's a funny cu**
Thank you John McCain for spreading out unique culture - MikeFallopian, on 06/19/2008, -5/+9Here's why the MSM isn't running the "*****" story: it is an allegation from a recent book designed to smear McCain ("The Real McCain", I think). The author claims that it happened in front of a group of reporters, but only cites anonymous sources. There is no video of the event and there is no person who actually saw it happen and has stepped forward to confirm. In other words, it does not come close to meeting the lowest journalistic standards for a news story. This is on the level of "Obama is a secret Muslim".
- edwartica, on 06/19/2008, -0/+3I think he uses a cane to beat his wife,
- solidcube, on 06/19/2008, -5/+8The most misogynist word in our vocabulary? How can a word be misogynist?
Apparently calling someone a ***** or an ***** is just fine. I smell PC *****... - innocentsinner, on 06/19/2008, -0/+3hey you socialist, i'm a *****
- joeanon, on 06/19/2008, -1/+4No, the difference is... That sounds like McCain.
And McCain has a huge anger problem.
This is just one of his less documented outbursts.
He has threatened congressmen and others around him in his outbursts. He cannot hold to debate or criticism without resorting to force.
The HUGE difference you are overlooking is McCain fits the profile of someone who would say that and quite honestly Cindy fits the profile of someone who would take that abuse.
I guess you also don't believe McCain left his disabled wife for Cindy and her millions.
Obama has no anger problem, so YES it would hard to imagine him saying that.
Plus, who else but an angry old man would use the world trollop.
That is just not a word that an anonymous slanderer would come up with.
It has McCain written all over it.
The same guy who as a pilot wanted to bomb Russia ships in Korea.. because... Russia is the enemy and surely nothing bad could come from World War 3. -
