- Rotzooi, on 09/13/2008, -0/+8"Stretching the truth"? Goddamn, even the NYT is pussyfooting. LYING is what McCain is doing. LYING is what Palin is doing. LYING is what the GOP knows how to do, and it's the only thing they've got.
- arkboysooner, on 09/13/2008, -1/+9I think everyone can officially stop with this "straight talk" nonsense.
- willtrx, on 09/13/2008, -1/+9Sometimes I honestly wonder which is better/worse:
-A candidate who trusts the judgment of the American people and tries to focus on important issues.
-A candidate who correctly surmises that most people are idiots, and treats them accordingly. - aereaus, on 09/13/2008, -1/+6Republicans will do anything to win this election. From sending out fake ballots to purging voter registration lists. They are truly evil. America needs to get away from 2-party rule. Here in Denmark we have around 11 parties to choose from.
- novenator, on 09/13/2008, -1/+5McCain has clearly surrendered his integrity to republican party insiders, who are using the same old, tired negative tactics mastered by the former propaganda minister karl rove. Its really sad to see, I had respect for John back in 2000, but he is clearly nothing but a mouthpiece for the same old ***** now.
- bubblz, on 09/13/2008, -2/+53...2...1...Buried for Inaccurate. Digg needs to remove that as a feature, or risk losing what credibility they have. Anything anti-Repug or Palin gets shat on even if it is from a legitimate news source, I can see blogs because they are opinion pieces. But for someone to mark an article as inaccurate because they disagree with the content is disgraceful.
- oldgal, on 09/13/2008, -0/+3They have a problem on this one. Either McCain doesn't know he is distorting (aka lying) the truth in which case he will look silly defending this junk. Or he does know he is distorting the truth and he will not be any good at it. I notice he has been doing a good job of avoiding the national press/media lately - when he does stick his head up he gets pounded with this stuff and looks increasingly confused and uncertain. He is not good at delivering lines he doesn't believe in.
- inactive, on 09/13/2008, -0/+2McCain is a liar without morals or honor.
- charm803, on 09/13/2008, -1/+3"-A candidate who correctly surmises that most people are idiots, and treats them accordingly."
Awesome quote. - idarkiswordi, on 09/13/2008, -0/+2Lets call it what it is, lieing. Do we all remember being children and being scolded when we were caught lieing to our parents? John McCain doesn't. And just for the record, he thinks the citizens of Americ are all nice people, but then, that might be a lie too.
No Veracity
No Honor
No Respect
***** you John McCain! - novenator, on 09/13/2008, -1/+3the Republican party in the Los Angeles area once sent out mailings to poor latino voters (who overwhelmingly vote democratic) that stated (in spanish) "...remember, Republicans vote on Tuesday, Democrats vote on Wednesday." *This* is what we are up against.
- thelif, on 09/13/2008, -1/+2Prompt: Alright I need you to say McCain is lying more than Obama in the most convoluted way possible.
FTA:
"“The last month, for sure,” said Don Sipple, a Republican advertising strategist, “I think the predominance of liberty taken with truth and the facts has been more McCain than Obama.”" - inactive, on 09/14/2008, -0/+0We have to bring the nation back together, this video def has the right idea!
