- SheilaNoya, on 10/07/2008, -1/+35Someone needs to make sure the seniors are aware of this, so I'm sure Obama won't hesitate to bring this up at the debate tonight.
McCain's "base" is mostly people over 65 years old and low information voters. There's not much you can do about the "low information" [ignorant] crowd, but this should definitely scare the crap out of seniors who are paying attention to this election. - ChloeMS, on 10/07/2008, -1/+20One can only hope that at some future date, McCain finds himself on Medicare/Medicaid.
- supertamsf, on 10/07/2008, -1/+18I just sent this to my mom. Obama MUST raise this point tonight.
- imacommi, on 10/07/2008, -2/+18I'm all about cutting spending. I'm not about voting for McCain.
- jdarkling, on 10/07/2008, -1/+14They talked about this on The Rachel Maddow Show yesterday. Goodbye Florida!
- SSPink, on 10/07/2008, -1/+14There goes Florida.
- StripeyMagee, on 10/07/2008, -1/+10Heh, pretty good for a guy who has had government healthcare most of his adult life.
- ChangeIsGood, on 10/07/2008, -0/+6It'll never happen....he will also never step into a VA hospital either. He has private health care -- the best that money can buy. My mother who is 79 is not voting for McCain --- Also I have a somewhat bigoted uncle who is 89 who is voting for Obama. He said the other day that he thinks Palin is stupid. Go figure...not all Seniors are in the dark...some really know what's going down.
- paintgrl, on 10/07/2008, -1/+6Forward to your parents and grand parents, so they can tell their contemporaries.
- aussiejan, on 10/07/2008, -0/+3God bless your mother and your uncle (I'll forgive his somewhat bigotry because of his age). I know there are a lot of sensible older people backing Obama. I have to believe that smart and sensible Americans outnumber the stupid and racist ones.
- GMills, on 10/07/2008, -1/+4what, I can't hear you????
- goflyers, on 10/08/2008, -0/+1what ever happened to capitalism?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitalism
"Capitalism is the economic system in which the means of production are owned by private persons, and operated for profit[1] and where investments, distribution, income, production and pricing of goods and services are predominantly determined through the operation of a free market[2], rather than by central economic planning. " - MsLaurel, on 10/08/2008, -0/+1Let's hope that the Baby-Boomer vote outweighs the Geriatric White Bigot vote.
- blix65, on 10/08/2008, -0/+0Less medical... is this guy serious?
- n1eb, on 10/08/2008, -2/+2I hope he does. We need to start reversing the socialism that we've established in this country.
- sk11, on 10/08/2008, -2/+1Yeah start with poor and vulnerable people first. Government should probably still allow socialism for the rich and large corporations though, because America has her priorities straight.
