The man goes to Baghdad in body armor, escorted by 100 troops, to a market that was sealed off and locked down specifically for his photo-op... he says "look everybody, I've proven Baghdad is safe!"... and you think "he calls it like he sees it"?? Maybe so, if he has cataracts the size of Texas.
He was a genuine war hero at one point. Now he's endangering soldiers' lives in service of a photo-op, staged in service of a lie that the 30% lunatic-constituency of this country still believes in -- lunatics who happen to comprise the majority of republican primary voters. "Honest and consistent" my ass! McCain's Pander-mania Express is just about the most transparent, shameless, bald-faced political calculation I can imagine.
