- tcbishop12, on 07/10/2008, -11/+53On June 3, when John McCain gave that awful speech in New Orleans before the green wall, McCain purposely stole Barack Obama's line saying: 'I'm fired up and ready to go.'
When Sen. Obama heard this he stole the trademark theme from McCain's campaign: 'I'm old and not sure where I am.'" - B08ama, on 07/10/2008, -9/+41"Iran? Oh, that thing... I'm sure that it's bad or something."
- fejjfunklamella, on 07/11/2008, -15/+40And Obama does?

- CarStan, on 07/11/2008, -2/+19What happened to 'Bomb, bomb, bomb, Bomb, bomb Iran'?
I already recorded a cover of it thats just waiting to be released. Please McCain, get elected and invade Iran, so i can cash in on it.
I have a to feed a family.
And by family i mean 'myself'.
And by 'feed' i mean 'buy porn for' - GregIsLegend, on 07/10/2008, -26/+42Jesus Christ, Digg.
Why do you bother with these stories? It doesn't matter who wins the election. The president will always bow before his corporate masters before us. The only reason to like Obama is because he is more articulate than McCain. This country was bought and sold a long time ago. Start digging some violent revolution articles instead of this mindless drivel between two fundamentally identical presidential candidates.
Also, before anyone brings up Bob Barr, He voted for the Patriot Act, The Defense of Marriage Act and a bunch of other *****. The only reason he seems to have changed his tune now is because he's trying to pass as a libertarian. - pintomp3, on 07/11/2008, -8/+23he doesn't know the difference between shias and sunis. he doesn't know the role of the president in iran. he doesn't know the difference between iraq and iran. he doesn't know much about the economy. he doesn't even remember saying he doesn't know much about the economy. he doesn't know how he voted on birth control legislation. what does he know?
- kiwiboyus, on 07/11/2008, -5/+18I love how you complain but make a point of putting his middle name in there, it was so we don't think you are talking about the other Barack Obama right?
- kaji823, on 07/11/2008, -8/+21Props to the picture of McCain doing /facepalm
- WarPirate, on 07/11/2008, -5/+17"... “intent on acquiring nuclear weapons” ... “the threat posed by an Iran with nuclear ambitions.”
Seems to me like he knows the threat. - stopdiggingshit, on 07/11/2008, -10/+21Wow! Another article on Digg portraying [popular candidate to dislike here] in a bad way! What a surprise!
- inactive, on 07/11/2008, -4/+14Suck it, spaza, turnabout is fair play. You loved this ***** in 04 when you did it to Kerry, now you get it right in the ass. It's karma, bitch.

News: Republican does something stupid.
JimmySpaza's Response: "But.. but... but... DEMOCRATS!!!" - denizen42, on 07/11/2008, -3/+12"Better shoot first, ask questions later." /m
- inactive, on 07/11/2008, -0/+8I don't thing he ever claimed to. No one does really. I think it's better to admit that you don't know then to tell lies to try to start mass hysteria and create a conflict over it.
- pintomp3, on 07/11/2008, -4/+12what point? mccain action center point?
- Tyrghast, on 07/11/2008, -10/+17This just in: Iran doesn't pose a threat to us. The biggest threat to the US is it's own self-righteous, dogmatic, ignorant, arrogant, wasteful, out of control people.
Also, know who else killed others simply for being ambitious? Stalin. - floorman56, on 07/11/2008, -0/+6Do senators get the same secret reports that the president does?
- swrostmore, on 07/11/2008, -1/+7Iran is highly likely to nuke the single Holiest site in their religion, killing hundreds of thousands of fellow Muslims. It would work out so well for them that I'm surprised they haven't done it already.
- Noiremorte, on 07/11/2008, -1/+7Let's see. Iran has attacked how many nations in the past 150 years? How many has the US attacked?
- BaudiIROCZ, on 07/11/2008, -8/+14He also doesn't know his voting record and is unable to give an answer to a question where the interviewer asks his opinion.

It's been dugg already but for anyone who missed it. I present to you: THE MOST AWKWARD ATTEMPT TO DODGE A QUESTION...EVER!!! - ender7074, on 07/11/2008, -2/+8Will you see the problem when they detonate one over Israel? How about New York or Washington?
- rjc5056, on 07/11/2008, -0/+6I'm a cynic too, but don't you think that incremental steps in a better direction (even if Obama changes his stance on some things, he will NOT flip sides on everything) is better than a continuation of the horrible status quo? I'm genuinely asking you, not trying to counter you. You seem to have an intelligent and well thought out point, so I'm assuming you also realize that most American's don't think like you and I. They're just "average" and likely have a lower mean IQ than you or the average digg user. For them, it's easier to be spoon-fed. And for all their complaining about it every election year, once Nov passes, most are willing to move on to other things more central to their lives. They'll spread their cheeks and take the ***** from whoever wins whether it's rough or gentle. Most of us have come to terms with the sheer impossibility of a huge revolution based on our fat, apathetic countrymen and we just hope (at least I do) that Obama stays true to most of his promises and the ones he inevitably will break don't leave us unable to walk straight for a week. No politician will ever have the exact same ideals and values as you. Adulthood is learning how to compromise without losing your personal moral footing.
Hope that didn't come off as a flame or anything. Just trying to have a mature discussion and get a better grasp on your stance without all the fire and brimstone. Please, feel free to get back to me about this. - toejuiceDCUP, on 07/11/2008, -0/+6This is standard protocol. Nothing is scarier than a completely undefineable unknown mysterious threat that could attack at any time anywhere and which we have no way of actually preventing. See last 7 years of terrorism propaganda for more details.
- papastout, on 07/11/2008, -4/+10Well no ***** sherlock!
- kiwiboyus, on 07/11/2008, -5/+10Did I say he was wrong, no I didn't. And spare me the name calling I don't belong to any political party or even have a vote in this country. I just think it's hilarious how you lot try to link him to Saddam because of his middle name, seriously that is the best you can come up with? At least with the FISA bill there is a real issue, but then again didn't your whole party vote that through? Come on you can do better than name call right, seriously I'm waiting, impress me.
- Verfel, on 07/11/2008, -2/+7@ Jimmy
So you go all "blah blah Partisan stooge lawl" on someone for ripping on McCain through an article posted that rips on McCain, then turn around spit out partisan ***** as if to make some sort of counterpoint?
Wow, I'm intrigued to know how schadenfreude can't apply here. - inactive, on 07/11/2008, -2/+7@swrostmore
You could stop at "What nation has Iran ever invaded".
I'll do the quick list, covering the last 200 years or so....
Done - LordFortis, on 07/11/2008, -4/+9It'd be nice of the media tried to appear educated rather than throwing one sided, out of context remarks at us and jumping to conclusions based upon them. That's why we get stupid stuff like 'terrorist fist bump' and this article.
"I can’t know whether a strike would be justified because I don’t know the progress or the significance or the nature of the threat."
This should be read as - 'we need more intel before we involve ourselves in a conflict as to not repeat another Iraq'.
Please, media, spare use the dumb sh1t. I think most of us are smart enough to know Obama isn't a crackhead muslim and McCain has a bit more experience in the military than good old gee-dubya-bee. - Taiyoryu, on 07/11/2008, -3/+8I would rather secede than revolt as the former would most likely have less blood spilled than the latter. But secession may lead to revolution (civil war) anyway depending on who decides to split-off.
- DestroyFascism, on 07/11/2008, -0/+5Fat Apathetic countrymen make good sandbags, I am sure they will help!
- halfdirt, on 07/11/2008, -0/+5As a fat apathetic countryman, I . .. oh looks like I'm out of dip.
- sodade, on 07/11/2008, -8/+13"The only reason to like Obama is because he is more articulate than McCain."
Well, I think it sends a message to our corporate masters to pretend to be a little kinder and gentler with us.
"oh please, lube me up before you assrape me"
For the Romans, it was bread and circus - us modern folks need lube too. - Origin415, on 07/11/2008, -2/+7Are you implying McCain didn't say that? That quote needs no thinkprogress commentary to show McCain in a bad light.
Regardless, I like the word "hyperliberal." Sounds freakin epic. - krnldmp, on 07/11/2008, -4/+8It's hard to specifically describe something that verifiably doesn't exist.
- omnithought, on 07/11/2008, -7/+11Man, it seems like every time someone asks this guy a question he's either contradicting himself or doesn't know what the ***** he's talking about. I think Idiocracy has already come true, because, after all, he did get nominated.
- pintomp3, on 07/11/2008, -7/+11the threat is whatever my handlers say it is.
- jbrand45, on 07/11/2008, -0/+4Anyone else seen the show "Little Britain?" McCain has been more and more reminiscent of the character of Andy, at least from the first season.
--------------------------------
"Now John, which country did you want to attack?"
John points to a map of Iran. "I want that one."
"This one? Didn't you say that you don't even know the nature of what threat Iran might really really pose?"
John says, "Yeah."
"Well then how about one of these other nice countries who pose a clear and present danger? Wouldn't that be swell?"
Pointing back to a map of Iran. "I want that one." - swraman, on 07/11/2008, -3/+7funny i couldve sworn yesterday he was saying what a threat Iran is and how he knows how to deal with it.
He is never consistent in what he says - Arcesius, on 07/11/2008, -0/+4Dude, I'm for sedition as much as the next guy, but, I'm sorry--the internet is the worst place for this kind of stuff.
- inactive, on 07/11/2008, -8/+12Spaz, how is a photo of John McCain "out of context" in a story about John McCain?
Do you know what the word "context" means? - swrostmore, on 07/11/2008, -3/+7Comparisons to WWII are almost always stupid. What nation has Iran invaded that makes them analagous to the Axis coalition of aggressor nations?
- lynx44, on 07/11/2008, -0/+4One of the most intelligent comments I've ever read on Digg. Unfortunately its much easier for the media to put a negative spotlight on the opponent rather than covering the facts. No reason to actually find real issues when you can sway the public simply by constantly putting out one sided stories that cater to your view.
- inigomntoya, on 07/11/2008, -1/+4C'mon! Its Friday! This is all we have - well that and a Hawaiian shirt.
- withears, on 07/11/2008, -1/+4That poor, sad old man.
- t4m5t3r, on 07/11/2008, -0/+3honestly, looking at the way things are going he's most likely going to steal the election (well not him but his owners)
and if you americans do anything less than tear that whole place to the ground and take back your country then you might aswell all f*ck of to china as you have no right to call yourselves americans! (TBH IMO you have already lost that right with all the ***** you'v allowed to happen already!)
(how do i know more about america than most americans?, oh thats right, i dont watch TV!!) - DestroyFascism, on 07/11/2008, -1/+4Heckle and Jeckle...
Bah, America is one big pigs trough, the people are the fodder. - manova, on 07/11/2008, -0/+3You know, McCain should pay himself for that to run in certain parts of the country.
- inactive, on 07/11/2008, -1/+4Actually... bphicke is sort of right sadly. It was a vote for the lesser of the two evils at that point though.
