- EnviroChem, on 05/22/2009, -17/+700Given how important computers and the Internet are to our society and economy, having a computer illiterate President should be as unacceptable as having an illiterate President.
- rahamm, on 06/11/2008, -23/+680This is how all of us who use a computer get f-ed in the A we elected someone who knows nothing about them. His policies on the Internet, and other media will reflect just that. Please Diggers consider this.
- alapoet, on 06/11/2008, -22/+573You know what?
If computers were the only things McCain is clueless about, I'd be a lot less worried about him.
Having said that, it is pretty sad that he's this out of touch with modern reality. - inactive, on 06/11/2008, -14/+429McCain is a douchebag. I can say this because I know he won't be reading it.
- weavrmom, on 06/11/2008, -12/+301This is why McCain constantly contradicts himself: he apparently doesn't realize that his prior statements and policy pronouncements can be easely googled in a few seconds.
- mazerrackham, on 06/11/2008, -10/+276I'd respect him more if he campaigned in a top hat and monocle. You know he wants to.
- Jareth86, on 06/11/2008, -14/+195Ron Paul uses windows. Where is your god now?
- MrSarcasm, on 06/11/2008, -12/+174"I'm illiterate"
Weeeell he said it himself. - CannedMango, on 06/11/2008, -0/+127I don't think Digg is the target demographic you need to worry about voting for McCain.
- Phooey42, on 06/11/2008, -15/+138Computers are the way of the world. Government, business, schools, and just about everything else rely heavily on them. Having a President who cannot use them would be a terrible mistake.
- Dumbledorito, on 06/11/2008, -6/+127Don't worry; He'll have Ted "series of tubes" Stevens to advise him.
- Echota, on 01/05/2009, -51/+148He is clueless about more important issues then computers.
Obama! 08 & 12 - t4ll3y, on 06/11/2008, -7/+100I know he thought that this wouldn't make him look like an elitist, and it doesn't. It makes him look like a ***** retard.
- rebrane, on 06/11/2008, -9/+101Leadership for the early 20th century has arrived at last!
- Dil11, on 06/11/2008, -4/+87Time to call the video professor Mr. McCain
- Philmer, on 06/11/2008, -9/+85are you one the desktop sir?
yeah
so open up the file
wait, i gotta get back off, i hit my head against the ceiling lamp.
... - kaplanfx, on 06/11/2008, -3/+64Ok, I'll give you Obama 08, but shouldn't you at least wait and see how he performs before calling for a second term?
- rahamm, on 06/11/2008, -3/+64You compare Obama's policy to McCain's on Internet privacy and net neutrality and you will find Obama's honours the 4th Amendment while McCain does not. Don't quote the Constitution at me not only that but but McCain has done nothing to the but NOT honoured the Second amendment either.
He is the one who voted to limit the number of bullets per clip to ten and he is the one who voted to make trigger locks mandatory. He has not been a friend to gun owners. Gun Owners Association grades him a D-. If McCain by some fluke, gets elected, we'll all be clinging to our religions. It will be all we have left. He already made inroads into our first amendment right and has also voted to shut down gun sales at gun shows. He and Lieberman co authored a bill to shut down gun shows altogether but it failed...for now.
I would not expect you to know that because you have never used a gun much like McCain and computers thanks for proving my point. Could you have set me up better with your example? In the end he doesn't understand them so can I expect him to make an educated decision about them. Much like you and your Second Amendment and McCain. - Dumbledorito, on 06/11/2008, -10/+69"Why can't we actually argue about the issues such as NET NEUTRALITY..."
Because the Republican candidate doesn't know a ***** thing about computers. - inactive, on 06/11/2008, -1/+46As long as he's already up to pee, might as well.
- funkedup, on 06/11/2008, -2/+44I think a president should be required to use a computer, in this day and age there is NO excuse not to. I don't think they need to learn any complicated programs but basic computer skills are essential.
- NotSoHotPink, on 06/11/2008, -3/+42Bush is illiterate and even he can use a computer.
- monsieurginger, on 06/11/2008, -12/+49Would you want an old fart picking up the phone at 3:00 AM?
- GorfTron, on 06/11/2008, -5/+42He drank too muck hot bottled water.
- mechnoch, on 06/11/2008, -0/+36Oh snap!
Also, I don't get people who think that the only possible thing that could benefit business is "LESS TAXES". Sure, taxes are one component, but doing things to spur competition and innovation should also be taken into consideration.
(NET NEUTRALITY, FTW!) - inactive, on 06/11/2008, -1/+35he wouldn't be able to graduate from high school today without knowing basic computer skills. i guess he needs to go back.
- retr0grade, on 06/11/2008, -5/+38He should embrace it- make is new slogan "Vote for me- I'm OLD!"
He doesn't need a computer to attract the chicks, he just ties an onion in his belt, it was the style of the time. - ronaldst, on 06/11/2008, -2/+34McCain is a Mac user. I mean Apple told us, in their TV ads, that Mac users can't do video, plug cables and turn things on.
- BryanG412, on 06/11/2008, -0/+31The Republican Party in November - "Only terrorists use computers."
- ChokingVictims, on 06/11/2008, -0/+29that fox is what hackers use right
- owenkun, on 06/11/2008, -0/+29So the Internet is the big 'e,' right?
- sockpuppets, on 06/11/2008, -23/+52Actual photo of McCain using a computer:
http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/memoryalpha/en/i ... - rufusdog, on 06/11/2008, -15/+44If he isn't smart enough to figure out how Cindy connects to AOL then how the hell is he going to run our country? Throwing temper tantrums and threatening people will only get him so far.
- Callik, on 06/11/2008, -8/+36Well technically speaking he only said PC without mention of OS. So it could be linux! Really!
>.> - inactive, on 06/11/2008, -1/+29McCain / Video Professor '08
- rottencod, on 06/11/2008, -0/+27This post is an insult to Scotty.
- theaceoffire, on 06/11/2008, -4/+31>.> considering Viva Zapata came out in 1952, yeah, he is a tad out of touch with even 80's reality.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viva_Zapata! - inactive, on 06/11/2008, -0/+27Even Bush uses "The Google"

-Viagra - rhodesman, on 06/11/2008, -1/+283:00AM!!??? That's early morning to him, try calling him at 8:00PM, see if he answers then!!!
- Lagger, on 06/11/2008, -8/+34Being able to use a computer is pretty much a requirement to work at McDonalds.
and no;
it's like saying You don't know what a gun is or does - and you want to make an opinion. - houndeyex, on 06/11/2008, -2/+27I think selling yourself on 2012 is probably a ***** horrible idea. Let's see how he does in 2008, if he goes into office.
- blakecr, on 06/11/2008, -2/+27This is an enigma. If he admitted his cluelessness he would not be clueless about his clulessness anymore.
- cramtod, on 06/11/2008, -0/+24Let me guess, his aides are going to carve his email into blocks of stone for him to read so he can use a technology he's comfortable with?
Computers are a handy tool. His lack of computer skills doesn't disqualify him for president. His lack of curiosity and willingness to expand his skills should. - owenkun, on 06/11/2008, -0/+23I paid 50 bees for that onion.
- DalamarArgent, on 06/11/2008, -1/+24Yet people will and have voted for both, within the last 4 years and the coming 1.
- w00kiekrisp, on 06/11/2008, -3/+26issues more important than computers?
Blasphemy! - mechnoch, on 06/11/2008, -5/+27Ok, so given the fact that he does not know how to use a computer, we can infer that he probably doesn't understand how the internet really works. How can you expect him to make responsible and intelligent executive decisions on issues like NET NEUTRALITY when he probably can't understand the jargon?
Also, I think that people who don't understand how to use a gun, should avoid second-amendment arguments. You can have your opinion, sure, but it's just that, opinion. - MacEnvy, on 06/11/2008, -1/+23I suspect there are a lot of people on Digg who hadn't sent 2 e-mails 16 years ago when Bill took office. Most especially those who are younger than 16.
Nowadays it's a bit more important, don't you agree? And I'd guess that Bill has sent his fair share of e-mails over the last 8 years since he left office. I'd bet that McCain still hasn't. -
