- Jo9100, on 12/22/2007, -31/+1311. Nobody cares
2. about
3. your results - galeninjapan, on 12/22/2007, -4/+71Who is this Ron Paul?
- inactive, on 12/22/2007, -25/+91Ron Paul, Mike Gravel, and Dennis Kucinich, in that order. No surprise there
- transitive, on 12/22/2007, -3/+64this survey is useless. the questions are too generalized and the answer choices for many questions are stifling particularly the lack of a "none of the above" option for some questions.
- t3rmv3locity, on 12/22/2007, -3/+59I got:
1. George W. Bush
What the hell? - ostm444, on 12/22/2007, -18/+68hehe, i didn't think ABC would actually include Gravel in this. cool.
1. Dennis Kucinich
2. Mike Gravel
3. Ron Paul - dunderballer, on 12/22/2007, -6/+39As far as this test goes, I believe the corresponding letter grade for those result is an F.
- rstarr, on 12/22/2007, -8/+371. Kucinich ✓+
2. Gravel ✓
3. Rudy....wait Rudy?! ✓- - - -
Oh God I feel so dirty... - betterth, on 12/22/2007, -2/+30Maybe Ron Paul doesn't stand for what you do. His views are considered radical and while I'm a devout Ron Paul follower, it's very important you understand his views.
- sirbeta, on 12/22/2007, -7/+35Hey guys, at least he wrote "you're" and not the typical "your"
- PeppermintPig, on 12/22/2007, -2/+27This quiz is worse than the last one I took. The immigration section begins by asking whether the federal government should 1 erect fences, 2 'beef up' security, 3 force employers to check your status, 4 establish a guest worker program, or 5 establish a database to track all immigrants. What the hell kind of choices are these???
All of these solutions grow the government. Government should enforce the current laws and stop finding ways to erode liberty. - NeoRicen, on 12/22/2007, -12/+361) Gravel
2) Biden (?)
3) Kucinich
A load of crap though, too few issues are discussed, nothing about science, very few social issues (there wasn't even an abortion question), nothing about church/state and nothing about foreign policy in general.
Which is why my top 3 doesn't reflect my actual top 3, because some of the most important issues to me aren't even brought up. - peaceofpie, on 12/22/2007, -19/+42Kucinich, Gravel and Paul. Well, I wish some of those Ron Paul people would toss a little of their big bucks to Kucinich if he's somehow sharing a platform. Come on Ron Paul people share your money with Kucinich and let's run together. Wow, talk about bringing a divided country together.
- betterth, on 12/22/2007, -4/+26The quiz itself says that USA Today is collecting the responses for whatever purpose. No conspiracy here, sir.
- RetroEvolute, on 12/22/2007, -2/+24Oh. Fox news bought out the poll.
- antoniuk, on 12/22/2007, -5/+26It would be a great election year if it was Paul versus Kucinich!
- Langford, on 12/22/2007, -0/+17Interesting, though this is probably only based on what they "claim" to support. Was I the only one disappointed in some of the options? It seems like they skipped obvious solutions to some problems in favor of making weird ones?
- vault, on 12/22/2007, -2/+18Uh you got Hillary on yours, STFU.
- galeninjapan, on 12/22/2007, -5/+211) Ron Paul
2) John Galt - betterth, on 12/22/2007, -12/+26But a lot of us don't agree with Kucinich. As a more libertarian/conservative, I believe in personal responsibility, not government cradling. And for the next president, I believe the number one issue is returning our nation to economic solvency. I believe Paul has the best ideas for turning our economy around.
- mattes5, on 12/22/2007, -1/+15I got the same... I don't agree with Gravel and Kucinich on economic matters but I like them better the most... that is my top 3 thoe.
- Antixian, on 12/22/2007, -6/+201. thanks for
2. being a
3. douche bag. - DogBotherer, on 12/22/2007, -0/+13Needs weightings...
- galeninjapan, on 12/22/2007, -3/+16How is voting for your ideals throwing your vote away?
Voting on someones electibility sounds like throwing a vote away to me. - coheedcollapse, on 12/22/2007, -6/+19Gravel, Paul, Kucinich. I'm not surprised, although I'd still probably put Kucinich a bit above Ron Paul. Paul is a great guy, but his views on a few matters that I find important are quite different than mine.
- geoboy, on 12/22/2007, -0/+12I answered all of the questions how I thought G.W. might answer them, and my results were:
1. Giulianni
2. McCain
3. Romney
*shudder* - terminal157, on 12/22/2007, -7/+191. That's kind of
2. the point
3. of this article. - ZenFountain, on 12/22/2007, -15/+26Biden
Clinton
Richardson
Would never vote for Clinton or Biden, Richardson would have made a great Democratic candidate but I gave up on him in early summer as his campaign is going nowhere. Obama-Edwards in 08', not apologizing for it! Also, these candidate matching things are comic at best, I sincerely hope nobody actually chooses a candidate using an online quiz. - SenatorPenguin, on 12/22/2007, -1/+12Oh noes! They is collecting ISP's!
You need to learn some more about this internet thing. USA Today is probably just making sure that their poll graphics that they are so fond of are accurate (no voting through proxy). Also, every time you visit any webpage, your IP address is logged by the server. They don't need to disclose that. - thepompano, on 12/22/2007, -1/+12I decided to use this calculator to determine the candidates with the most nefarious, ridiculous, and appalling conservative views.
1. Duncan Hunter (Who the hell is Duncan Hunter?) - 2. Fred Thompson - 3. John McCain - ElRayQuieres, on 12/22/2007, -1/+11In the eyes of pro-life people, abortion is murder. Murder is a pretty big deal.
- KingGorilla, on 12/22/2007, -4/+141. Bacon
2. Kucinich
3. PauI - Azurith, on 12/22/2007, -0/+10Same here. Knew it would be Kucinich beforehand. That last question is *****, though. Where were the "Is not heavily supported by corporations" or "Has head extracted from *****" options?
- inactive, on 12/22/2007, -3/+13see, thats why u liberals are going to lose the election....u jump right over the cliff with everyone else. ur going to vote for obama and he doesnt match your views, but hes a good-looking, electable candidate who happens to have NO experience....***** follower.
- SquigglyP, on 12/22/2007, -3/+12because popularity obviously trumps ideals...
- alx1507, on 12/22/2007, -16/+251) Paul
2) Biden
3) Hunter
at least it got #1 right... - pintomp3, on 12/22/2007, -0/+8not a bad pool, but doesn't cover a lot of issues and doesn't let you assign weight. this one is pretty good:
http://www.dehp.net/candidate/ - inactive, on 12/22/2007, -12/+20#1 Ron Paul , the rest are history!
- terminal157, on 12/22/2007, -1/+9This kind of thinking is like a cancer on democracy. The end result, inevitably, is the media chooses which candidates are "viable" and the people follow because, hey, no one else has a shot at winning.
- GamerVer05, on 12/22/2007, -1/+9Who is John Galt?
- dunderballer, on 12/22/2007, -8/+161) Gravel
2)Thompson
3) Hillary
That is seems like an unlikely mix. I wish the test gave you the ability to give different weights to different questions. Though I may have common ground with Thompson on many issues, some of his stances are deal killers for me. - schrutefan, on 12/22/2007, -1/+8Exactly what I got. I already knew beforehand it would be Kucinich.
- NightVortez, on 12/22/2007, -16/+231. Ron Paul. (everything besides the first immigration question)
2. Kucinich (Iraq)
3. Duncan Hunter. (immigration) - betterth, on 12/22/2007, -4/+11I'm glad there was nothing on abortion. It's a ***** cloak question and shouldn't be talked about. It's minor, insignificant compared to the serious issues like say our massive economic problems and of course our choice in wars. I would choose a candidate who war for stomping on fetuses as long as he had the best plan to fix our nations economy and get us the ***** out of Iraq.
- smokestack, on 12/22/2007, -0/+7for whatever reason, all those heads popping out of the white house made me look for my mouse pointer to change to crosshairs.. is that wrong?
- JigoroKano, on 12/22/2007, -0/+7You think a fence will solve our immigration problem?
- aussieNickuss, on 12/22/2007, -11/+18This is just like the "Vote-e-Matic" we had here in Aus in the lead up to our recent election. I did this for fun and apparently, if I was an American, I'd be voting for:
1. Denis Kucinich
2. Bill Richardson
3. Barack Obama
I've only heard a little about Kucinich (on digg....impeachment??), of course I know of Barack, but I don't know who the hell that Richardson guy is. - kjk437, on 12/22/2007, -2/+9I believe that warrants and OH SNAP.
- haterrade, on 12/22/2007, -1/+8I actually wish MORE people would use a quiz that aligns a candidate with their views instead of just deciding between the few guys they've really heard about
- ZenMojo, on 12/22/2007, -1/+7Just because you want to be a revolutionary doesn't mean your personal beliefs are revolutionary.
