- NightVortez, on 10/10/2007, -6/+25Who wouldn't take a bullet for freedom?
- Captainshays, on 10/10/2007, -4/+15I say it just about every day. I would be happy to take a bullet for this man. He represents to me, the restoration of all that our country once stood for and the things that really made her great. Ron Paul represents freedom for my children instead of the servitude that is waiting for them at the hands of their servant government if continue on this present path and elect ANY of the other candidates from ANY party currently running or considering a run for the presidency. To me, this is not about Ron Paul. He's just our figure head. He's our Thomas Jefferson or Patrick Henry. They were not the Revolution. They were spokemen. They were voices of liberty. They, like Ron Paul expressed the longings that were in the hearts of the patriots and articulated those age old truths that remain true today.
If I could choose a way to die, my first choice would be in protection of truth and liberty for without that, even the lives of my children won't be worth living. - shrugged0106, on 10/10/2007, -5/+16I would certainly take a bullet for the one and only candidate capable and willing to retrun our government back to the role that the founders envisioned. What responsible and loving father wouldnt?
- jomel77, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11My wife has often said that terrorists wouldn't dare try anything on a Disney Cruise because there would several hundred parents gladly risking their lives to protect their children from harm. No difference here. Thanks to the Internet, people can see the writing on the wall in regards to the direction the "powers that be" are taking this country. We see Ron Paul 2008 as a focused image, place and time to restore our God-given freedom.
WE WANT RON PAUL !! - EnglishVoodoo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8Just thought about it ... I would take 3 bullets for Ron Paul. The man's got such tremendous balls standing up for our freedom when everybody around him lies on pedestals.
- understudy, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Maybe we shouldn't use the word 'insurgent'. It doesn't have the best connotation these days. There's got to be a better word.
_ - bushesbitch, on 10/10/2007, -4/+9happily !!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -6/+11I said a few days ago to some folks that I would be willing to get tortured in the secret prison for Ron Paul and I am Canadian...
- benggg, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5he supports the states making their own decisions about issues, not the federal government.
- understudy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Yes, I understand. But having the word in the title of the digg submission still presents the challenge of using the word before it is explained; therefore, people will form a notion of the semantics before ever reaching your explanation (and that's provided that they actually do read the whole thing). Take care.
_ - macman2k, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4The question is who would go on the offensive against the government to protect our freedom and how bad would things have to get before it came to that?
- johndoenumber2, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5The Ron Paul Revolution is on the offensive against the neocons that have taken over the government. We don't need to go against the government unless there is no way to restore our republic. That is a last resort and we are not at that point in my opinion. Not yet.
- Captainshays, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2This isn't about Ron Paul and I am taking the liberty to speek for the others who have said that they too would take a bullet for Ron Paul. Its about the future of our country. We also know that if he gets too close to the white house there is a high probability that the powers that be, whom he will have a huge effect on, will most likely attempt to kill him before he does what he proposes to do. Many of us got that feeling after he traunced his opponents in the first debate. Its a given. We know it deep inside. Our country, our electoral processes, our schools, our monitary system, our military and many other institutions have been corrupted. Ron Paul stands in the way of the plans of those who corrupted them.
- Auraness, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Now try to find someone who'll do that for Giuliani...
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4I've made that pledge too... and I've buried you because you just came off as a pompous ass.
- swanny89, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Ron Paul is the only republican who wants immediate withdrawal from Iraq.
- reiner15, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2syrup boarding is much tougher than water boarding, think you can handle it? eh?
- silverchrysalis, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2there's nothing better than a Pet Rock. period.
case closed. - sansax95, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I'd take a bullet for him... but I'm just a robot so it wouldn't hurt
btw, what makes digg think that us robots can't enter the text we see in the image? - JigoroKano, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Personally I find the response frightening. This is the kind of behavior I would expect reserved for Kim Jong or Hitler.
- JigoroKano, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I would take a shotgun blast in the face for Dick Cheney.
- drunkentoad, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Pet Rock for president 08 !!
- jb4rp2008, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Yep... Me too
- TheSexyGeek, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Woah! Ron has insurgents? Now he's really hit the big league. Even the president doesn't have insurgents!
- Dumbledorito, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3Terribly sorry to throw some cold water on this, but please stop treating ANY politician like a messiah or the next best thing since the Pet Rock. Backing and supporting someone you think might do a good job is all fine and well, but if you emotionally invest yourself in your candidate like your favorite sports team, it makes it all the harder to scrutinize what they do once in power and criticize him/her when you should. Creating a cult of personality is what kept Bush's supporters running for so long, and only now, once it's too late to really do anything about him, have they started to wake up that they helped elect one of the worst presidents in recent history.
So try and keep a rational head about you, no matter who you support. The track records of even the best leaders often are rife with disappointments; you shouldn't blind yourself to them. - troprocker, on 10/10/2007, -4/+4The trouble with you people is that I suspect very few of you have actually made a pledge to fight and die for the Constitution of the United States of American. I made that pledge, I honored that pledge, and I continue to honor that pledge. Some of you may have also, and I salute you. The rest ... put your life where your mouth is.
- drunkentoad, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Unfortunatly, as has been made abundantly clear lately, its no longer about what the people want anymore. Its the people who will cave to the 'big guys' in charge that will get the nomination. Shame.
- silverchrysalis, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1i don't know about a bullet, but maybe that seasoned buckshot stuff... i would take that for Ron Paul.
- BrandonMills, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Is anyone really that surprised that Ron Paul's insane following would take a bullet for him?
- citizenpaine, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Its not so much about the candidate himself, as what he stands for. People like myself say they would take a bullet for Ron Paul because we know that a Ron Paul presidency would go a very long way towards restoring America ti the free and constitutional republic it is supposed to be. Most of us have been aware of Ron Paul's decades-long spotless record of supporting liberty and limited constitutional government as a congressman for a long time. Ron Paul is not a "politician," he is a statesman. The Ron Paul movement is about restoring the republic and preserving liberty.
Willingness to lay down ones life to see that Ron Paul survives and continues the fight for liberty is akin to a soldiers willingness to lay down his life to protect liberty. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Were the supporters of the patriots in the revolution crazy, too?
Sure, they were crazy. You say that like it's a bad thing. Not everyone just gets to come home and watch Seinfeld to take-out dinner every day paid for by your cushy middle-class job, giving them an excuse to pretend people willing to put themselves in danger for a cause are 'insane'.
How nice your life must be to make a claim like that. - Slotsky, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Yay for Ron Paul Spam!
- johndoenumber2, on 10/10/2007, -4/+2understudy- did you read my article to the end. I address the issue of the use of the word insurgency and how it has been used to describe the Ron Paul campaign and how it is not a fair label. The article title is to bring attention to the source of this characterization and is not the source of it.
- Vicujozobenaxod, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1I would die for my country, but I would not die for a man, let alone vote for one, that will not do what it takes to defend it.
- Vicujozobenaxod, on 10/10/2007, -5/+1It's a little ironic to use that word when Ron Paul opposes almost every issue except for drilling in ANWR and pulling out of Iraq. Look up the comparative chart of the candidates, he doesn't really "support" anything. Do you want to reconsider using that word?
