- LogicAJV, on 10/29/2007, -4/+15I do know something about physics. I know it takes a lot of explosives to level a building without it falling sideways. Why do you need a lot of explosives? Well it has to do with inertia and steel beams aren't made totally uniform with all other steel beams and the demolition team making all the beams fail at the same time.
Question #1: A building is weakened with 1 or 2 beams weakening faster than the rest, the building falls away from the stronger steel beams. The twin towers' steel beams were weakened, because of a fire. The beams were the fire started would weaken faster than the other beams that are farther from the fire.
How did all four steel beams give way at the same time to stop it from falling sideways?
Question #2: Since, all steel beams aren't uniform, all it would take is one vertical steel beam with much higher strength, aka not weakened by the fire, to make the building fall sideways. In order for a building to fall completely vertical, several floors must have all their beams fail at the same time, to make the inertia of the falling matter override the strength of the beams by a high margin on the bottom floors.

The Bush administration can plan and attack anywhere they choose just because they feel like it, but protestors can't interrupt the goodly TV show. I guess the World Trade Center was the "right place" to kill 3,000 people, and interrupt their coffee breaks, or what about Iraq? How many TV shows were interrupted when we started bombing their cities for no reason? Where was the respect we showed the people of Iraq??? And now Iran? How many comedians will get their heads blown off because the US needs to say something about democracy?! Will it be the right place right time then? The only "evidence" of this entire story is the account of the people who were detained. There's nothing to back up any of their claims, from being led to a room, slammed, and the police siding with the truthers. Truthers have proven to fancy themselves as "raging against the machine", and I sincerely doubt that it went down anything like this.
