- supferrets, on 03/02/2009, -25/+173Limbaugh's just an attention whore. I'm tired of seeing his face all over the media when he has nothing useful or important to say.
- dreamofspirals, on 03/03/2009, -24/+113...must have been the Oxycontin.
- ThsGuyRightHere, on 03/02/2009, -18/+106Elsewhere in the Constitution is the premise that neither life nor liberty nor property can be taken away except through due process of law. It's an easy mistake to make, and one that I normally wouldn't call someone out on. Except that in this case that someone is throwing out his own accusations about bastardizing the Constitution. Furthermore, that someone wholeheartedly supports laws that severely impede gay Amercans' pursuit of happiness.
- SUPERnova007, on 03/03/2009, -18/+70Keep talking Rush, please keep talking.
- shadus, on 03/03/2009, -35/+71What... someone expect Rush to know something about the constitution? LOL. The man places no value on the constitution, he's a self deluded jack hole who cares nothing about anything but his ratings.
- toxicityj, on 03/03/2009, -1/+34one of two thigns has just happened
1. I've missed out on a new Digg meme. if so, link me so I can get it.
or
2. you think Journey = Rush and you're making a joke because of his name. in which case you failed hard.
there is also #3- you're just random. - plaguepony, on 03/03/2009, -42/+72A small misquote in a long speech. Criticize the things that matter.
- lordmike, on 03/03/2009, -0/+29Steele just apologized to Limbaugh. There should be no doubt who runs the party now!
- Skywise, on 03/03/2009, -17/+44Yeah, yeah... And Obama said the automobile was invented in America...
- erkokite, on 03/03/2009, -16/+41Considering that Obama taught constitutional law at the college level, Limbaugh shouldn't be criticizing.
- Eorster, on 03/03/2009, -5/+30If I could have predicted the future, during the 80's war on drugs, and said the leader of the republican party in 2009 would be a current or former drug addict, that had been caught with thousands of prescription pills, I would have been laughed out of the room. What an epic failure.
- analogkid01, on 03/03/2009, -3/+27You're yet another Republican who has missed the point. The point is not that he misappropriated a quote from a founding document. The point is that he ascribed the quote to the Constitution *in a speech about how Obama doesn't understand the Constitution.*
- inactive, on 03/03/2009, -9/+31as a former republican, he made me a liberal.
- JoeMondo, on 03/03/2009, -15/+37The question I'd like someone to publicly ask Limbaugh: If Obama fails, as Rush hopes he will, what will be the consequence for Americans?
- Formaldehydex2, on 03/03/2009, -6/+27Why am I imagining seeing "Palin-Limbaugh 2012"? Excuse me while I apply some brain bleach.
- theDarkGamer, on 03/03/2009, -1/+21Perhaps that should read, "the voice of the Republican Party."
Everyone seems to listen to that fat hypocritical *****. - nilhilustfreder, on 03/03/2009, -1/+20Looks like a combination of 2, 3, and 4chan.
- TheSwashbuckler, on 03/03/2009, -10/+28Yeah, it's nitpicking to point out the someone who complains that Dems don't know the Constitution himself doesn't know the Constitution.
- KazamaSmokers, on 03/03/2009, -16/+33I'm tired of Rush working out his Daddy issues on the national stage.
- joand315, on 03/03/2009, -4/+21Bury Brigade just arrived. Amazing how fast they work. Like locusts.
- sugarazor, on 03/03/2009, -5/+22Rush will still be fine. When the entire world collapses, a lot of people will be listening to the radio in their car... which is where they'll be living.
- inactive, on 03/03/2009, -2/+19"Most of whom are well educated.."
BWAHAHA HA HA HA HA! - tyrulz, on 03/03/2009, -7/+24how is this dude not in jail, remember when he called for riots at the DNC
- shiprou, on 03/03/2009, -2/+18Limbaugh and O'Reilly......can't stand them and I lean far to the right. They might as well co-host a radio show with Howard Stern.
I hope the GOP fractures and another party emerges before these morons drown out any remaining intelligent voices. - Depthfunction, on 03/03/2009, -16/+32You know, when Limbaugh finishes lynching Steele, I hope GOP makes him their new chair. With this drug-addicted demagogue in charge, the Dems will win every election for the next 10 years.
- sugarazor, on 03/03/2009, -3/+19"And he earned every stinking dime of it by rising to become the #1 radio personality in the country"
Sometimes it pays to be more lucky than good. As a broadcaster, Limbaugh is piss poor. As a puppeteer knowing how to rile up angry white men, he's certainly the master. - cl2yp71c, on 03/03/2009, -15/+30Worse things have happen.
Like it being totally ignored. - mrsteveman1, on 03/03/2009, -1/+15No it's a contraction of "Limbaugh is"
Thanks for playing the grammar game - geoffg, on 03/03/2009, -5/+18Looks like they got him...it's official now, Rush Limbaugh is an idiot.
- JigoroKano, on 03/03/2009, -6/+19Strange how so many conservatives confuse that line about the "Creator" as being in the Constitution.
"Certainly the drafters of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, both replete with references to God, would be aghast at the federal government’s hostility to religion." --Ron Paul
I can only assume wishful thinking. - TigerStar337, on 03/03/2009, -0/+13Who died and made Rush the King?
- TrevorBelmont, on 03/03/2009, -5/+17You missed the point. He said Obama bastardized The Constitution and then proceeded to refer to a separate document to support his point, thus illustrating that Mr. Limaugh's understanding of the Constitution and the words written therein is too limited to be of any validity.
I believe it was Mr. Thomas Jefferson who once said, "kthnxbai". - amprather, on 03/03/2009, -11/+23I would bet money that Limbaugh and most of these so call "true Americans" couldn't pass the citizen test that immigrants that want to become citizens have to take.
Here's a challenge Rush. You and Barack show up one night and take the test. If you score higher that Mr. Obama, then you can keep going on being a radio host. You score lower, then you have to pack up and leave. - woahwoahwoah, on 03/03/2009, -7/+19Actually, the Constitution also references Nature's God, a distinctly Pagan concept. To say that the Constitution is a Christian document is distortion at its very best. Rush should be called out because he was critiquing someone for disrespecting the Constitution. By the way, shouldn't Rush still be in jail by his own admission for doing drugs when he was speaking out against their use in society?
He's a man of contradictions. Rush Limbaugh only defends liberty when it applies to like-minded conservatives. Otherwise, you're a commie America-hating, socialist, Muslim liberal. Whenever someone on the Right critiques Rush, they back off the next day and bend down to their Messiah. - joand315, on 03/03/2009, -1/+13Exit...Stage Left
- inactive, on 03/03/2009, -1/+13"Mr. Steele is the leader of the Republican Party you libtard."
Except Rush is expressing far more leadership. Maybe Steele should act like a leader, and he'll get recognized for it. - inactive, on 03/03/2009, -3/+14I'm pretty sure while teaching constitutional law, you discuss issues involving constitutional text and how it is interpenetrated, its only obvious.
- mogebier, on 03/03/2009, -58/+69Picking Nits.
Huffpost must have had a slow day. - Odaecom, on 03/03/2009, -6/+17If he wants the administration to fail wouldn't that be un-American? At my old job where they had his show on, he didn't have the balls to admit what type of car he drives.
Since he knew that his followers would be un-happy to find out that he drove a Maybach (with a value more than their mortgages).
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/06/magazine/06Limba ... - inactive, on 03/03/2009, -1/+11Im tired of Rush lets piss him off enough for him to end up like that guy on the 12h orgy... we all know he got busted with Viagra coming back from South America
- sonofashoe, on 03/03/2009, -4/+14One of the great things about the U.S. is that our founding fathers spoke really, REALLY well.
Articles and amendments to the constitution are supposed to be subject to interpretation. That's why we have the Supreme Court, right? The Preamble is the underlying ideology that the constitution is based on. It was written after the country was confident that it had already won our freedom from oppressors. It's not a law; it's the principal behind the law.
"Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" is from the Declaration of Independence. That was the document that stated our justification for dissolving the ties that bound us to the pricks that taxed us without giving us representation. That's not a law either.
The Preamble and the Declaration of Independence are NOT nuanced.
"easy mistake to make, and one that I normally wouldn't call someone out on"?
If you & Rush don't know that than you're not qualified to discuss the Constitution. - inactive, on 03/03/2009, -7/+16Because there's a (D) after his name?
- inactive, on 03/03/2009, -15/+24Rush always stands up for Life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness... (unless you're a god-hating ***** liberal, in which case you can go burn in eternal hellfire, you disgusting, pot-smoking, degenerate, unpatriotic excuses for citizens)
At least I think that's his motto. BTW, while watching that address, did anyone think "damn, he really looks like he could use some oxycontin right now"? - nharpe, on 03/03/2009, -0/+9I wish they'd shoot Limbaugh and Sharpton both into space with no return ticket home. They're both extremists and opportunists who make their money on intentionally dividing people and promoting ideas that take our country back decades.
- SpinningHead, on 03/03/2009, -2/+11Pactum, that is such a tired argument.
Pedophilia violates the rights of others. A mutual relationship between 2 consenting adults is quite another matter. - mikelieman, on 03/03/2009, -1/+10Obligatory Bill Hicks Reference: ( Who had the insight to notice Rush was impotent... )

"Speaking of Satan, I was watching Rush Limbaugh the other day. Doesn't Rush Limbaugh remind you of one of those gay guys who likes to lay in a tub while other men pee on him? Can't you see his fat body in a tub while Reagan, Quayle and Bush just … [pee noise] Just standing around pissing on him, and his piggly-wiggly dick can't get hard. Still can't get hard, so they call in Barbara Bush..." - Paranor01, on 03/03/2009, -2/+10But to know Constitutional Law, you must know the Constitutional Text.
Lets not forget that tidbit eh? - ThsGuyRightHere, on 03/03/2009, -2/+10To the best of my knowledge Rush is against same sex marriage and civil unions. I don't listen to his show often but I seem to remember that being roughly his stance. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on that.
- novenator, on 03/03/2009, -2/+10the republican party. He's now king of the trash heap.
- anawnymoose, on 03/03/2009, -1/+9@Pactumserva:
Children have undeveloped brains and are often incapable of fully comprehending the mental consequences of sex, as well as physical damage they risk. Polygamy encourages inbreeding, which can create seriously deformed children. Got any more? Need me to explain why marrying another man isn't the same as marrying a goat? Care to explain how either of those are anywhere close to a man marrying another man?
Seriously, do you not understand this? -
