- Dumbledorito, on 08/09/2008, -1/+9Why not? McCain's campaign has done nearly everything else wrong.
The only question I'd have about it is, "Was Dan Quayle busy or something?" - inactive, on 08/09/2008, -0/+7I think it's an inspired choice. No one illustrates the lack of difference between the two parties like Joe Lieberman.
- Rizoh, on 08/09/2008, -0/+7No surprises there.
- rhabd0mancer, on 08/09/2008, -2/+7Hey John McCain, if you want Traitor Joe Lieberman, you can have him!
Just remember to sleep with one eye open! - elister, on 08/09/2008, -0/+4It will never happen. If Lieberman is the VP, technically the Republicans will have to kick their own ass.
- inactive, on 08/10/2008, -0/+3Well at least someone on the ticket would know the difference between Sunni and Shiite.
- monsieurginger, on 08/10/2008, -0/+2I would rather have Gore/Lieberman over Bush any day even though I would rather vote for Obama/? over McCain/Lieberman today. VP candidates don't matter so much anyway (unless something "terribly" goes wrong). It's not that Lieberman is so bad, it is because McCain is terrible.
- Berkana, on 08/10/2008, -0/+2This would be a historic cross over, but not the one I was hoping for. I was hoping for a Ron Paul / Dennis Kucinich ticket.
- Berkana, on 08/10/2008, -1/+3What will the Neo-Nazis and the KKK do if Lieberman becomes McCain's VP? Lieberman is an orthodox Jew.
- poprocksandsoda, on 08/10/2008, -0/+1I tend to agree with you. With all the Dems voting with the President ... there is little difference at this point.
- Bagos1, on 08/10/2008, -1/+1Lieberman is a liability.....and completely untrustworthy.
- poprocksandsoda, on 08/10/2008, -1/+1If getting a statistical tie in the polls with Obama is "doing everything else wrong" ... then perhaps you meant "right". Left ... what happned to your 15% lead? Scoreboard.
- inactive, on 08/10/2008, -1/+1One adviser said, “McCain loves Lieberman"
http://sounds1.neilrogers.com/sounds/old/052.mp3 - ieee, on 08/10/2008, -1/+1Presidential candidates usually pick running mates who balance out their short comings. Why consider picking another tired old man and beltway insider?
- poprocksandsoda, on 08/10/2008, -2/+1Funny how the same people who voted for him when he ran with Gore all of a sudden have a problem with him as a VP candidate. Let me guess ... in the past 8 years you've seen what he's really about? If Gore had won two terms instead of Bush ... then you're admitting you would have been making a big mistake voting for Gore/Lieberman by saying that. Let me guess Left, Lieberman is not as bad as Cheney blah blah blah.
