- toddcat, on 07/08/2008, -2/+51Well I sure feel safer knowing that a 61 year old librarian carrying a sign that supposedly Republicans would agree with, was forbidden from holding up that sign at a town-hall meeting.
- pintomp3, on 07/08/2008, -1/+35she obviously hates her own freedoms. they were just helping her get rid of them.
- hoghug, on 07/08/2008, -1/+31No, it's because McCain voted with/supported Bush 100% in '08 and 95% in 07. Try and keep up.
- s1mph0ny, on 07/08/2008, -1/+19I don't think you understand what is the meaning of an "open to the public" event. Kicking someone out is kind of like putting a "free beer" sign outside your bar, then charging everyone with theft because they didn't pay.
- m0tbaillie, on 07/08/2008, -6/+20First off, some *local volunteers* who *weren't affiliated with his campaign* moved those two women out of the "glory" shot (the one that shows him plus the people immediately behind him).
When Obama found out, he personally called both women to apologize. You fail at trolling. - jaymzdean, on 07/08/2008, -2/+16Did anyone not see this coming?
Remember?
Back on Tuesday, November 27th, 2007, we were warned.
http://rinf.com/alt-news/war-terrorism/bringing-th ... - Bartboy919, on 07/07/2008, -10/+23Am I correct in assessing that because Bush endorsed McCain, he does is in fact equal McCain?
- MaTT2011, on 07/08/2008, -4/+14Your logic is flawless!
So since I endorsed Obama I, in fact, equal Obama! I am Obama!!!!! w00t!
I also endorse spiderman, the Hulk and delicious cheesy doritos! I AM CHEESY OBAMULK-MAN!!
Thank you so much, all of you, for showing me this wonderful line of reasoning that has revealed my awesomeness to me, now i can truly use my powers for good. - Bartboy919, on 07/08/2008, -0/+10Erm, excuse me sir, I may be wrong, but, I thought that since Rev. Wright was in fact, a religious leader, he is barred from endorsing any candidate for president, lest his church loose their tax exemption status.
Further more, I would state that just because someone is a member of a church, does not mean that the entirety of the church supports the person in any way. Take John Kerry for example. He is a Roman Catholic who supported Abortion rights. The Roman Catholic Church on the other hand, would rather no have abortion rights legal within any country. Therefore one would assume that the Roman Catholic Church did not endorse John Kerry.
In Conclusion, just because one is a member of an organization does not mean that the organization necessarily endorses that one member in any way.
Thank you for your understanding, and by the way, I believe you have just been served. - Sogui, on 07/08/2008, -6/+15Because I'm sure McCain himself was on the other end of the radio ordering the guy to be arrested.
Go ahead, wear an "Obama = fascist" sign to an Obama event and see how far you get, or a headscarf for that matter... - Sogui, on 07/08/2008, -2/+11I just remembered one other important point, ANY signs are typically NOT allowed at these events. I was told at an Obama rally in Austin that signs would NOT be permitted because:
1) They blocked the views of others
2) They were seen as a security hazard, somebody could hypothetically use a sign as cover for assembling a concealing weapon or to cover someone else doing the same.
Considering that these orders came from the Secret Service, this doesn't surprise me at all. - jstohler, on 07/08/2008, -7/+16Sieg heil!
- inactive, on 07/08/2008, -3/+11They may not welcome it, but they probably wouldn't have hoodlums, er police, escort a 61 year old woman holding such a sign out of the area. ;-)
- whitecranberry, on 07/08/2008, -7/+14Nice work fascists. Democracy and Freedom of speech well at work.
- nontoxyc, on 07/08/2008, -7/+14I'm sure at an Obama event they would welcome a protester with a huge "OBAMA=BUSH" sign. Hey maybe I should make one and take it with me to the DNC.
- klco, on 07/08/2008, -0/+7NEWS FLASH
Obama personally apologized to both women for the actions of those supporters. - BordrGuy108, on 07/08/2008, -2/+9McCain = Obama = Bush = Tyranny?
They're all the same, people. Until we limit federal power nothing will change. - Bartboy919, on 07/08/2008, -1/+7Problem being, she was kicked out for trespassing.
- elrac, on 07/08/2008, -0/+6I don't get it.
- s1mph0ny, on 07/08/2008, -1/+7Bush-lite: half the terrorism and twice the racism!
- JakeAndersyn, on 07/08/2008, -2/+8This reminds me of the protesters who were removed from a Bush event and strip-searched.
they won their appeal. - inactive, on 07/08/2008, -1/+7At least she wasn't tasered like that dude at John Kerry's speech.
- inactive, on 07/08/2008, -0/+6He was not held captive in TPHCM but in Hanoi, where - I ***** you not - men pool their money together to buy a whore to share amongsst them and then play cards to determine the order in which they will proceed to sex her. Hanoi is the only place I know of where the whores offer group discounts.
- insomniac8400, on 07/08/2008, -2/+7When a cop says you can leave or get a ticket, how does he justify giving you a ticket when you leave? It would seem that cop should be fired. It's on tape, there is nothing he can say to refute it.
- matroska1, on 07/08/2008, -0/+4Nothing sends a message quite like a folded and concealed sign, AMIRITE??
- 9bpm9, on 07/08/2008, -2/+6Digg is like the National Media that they all hate, they're hypocrites who only look at one side of a story and ignore anybody who disagrees or tries to prove them wrong.
- inactive, on 07/08/2008, -4/+8I think the correct analogy would be OBAMA=CLINTON. Although I might agree with you if the sign said OBAMA=BUSH-LITE.
- inactive, on 07/08/2008, -2/+6This = Repeat
- inactive, on 07/08/2008, -0/+4OBAMA = OBAMA
- matroska1, on 07/08/2008, -0/+3Equations are banned.
- techmonkey4u, on 07/08/2008, -1/+4lajaw = ignorance
- batmanz, on 07/08/2008, -9/+12AGAIN?????!
I am all for Obama, but this is extremely biased. Mccain had nothing to do with the exclusion, and this woman was disrupting the meeting. Obama, Clinton, and all the other candidates have had people removed, including Obama removing two Muslim women who were sitting in view of a camera, while wearing their head scarves. But whatever...

- BinaryDelt, on 07/08/2008, -1/+4It's sad that being said to be one in the same with the President of the United States is considered an insult.
- TokenBlack, on 07/08/2008, -0/+3If you told me I was like George W. Bush I would kick your ass.
- insomniac8400, on 07/08/2008, -0/+3And how are we supposed to do that. Right now we have big government vs. astronomical government.
- Technohamster, on 07/08/2008, -0/+3I believe that would be affirming the consequent.
- medfreak, on 07/08/2008, -2/+5Anyone else amused at the fact that even Republicans, Police and Neocons consider "Bush" as much of an insult as McCain= Hitler?
- xlent, on 07/08/2008, -1/+4librarians ftw
- monkbot1, on 07/08/2008, -1/+3not necessarily, the McCain = Bush sign is correct your suggestion isn't, however given the decline in your education system and the rise of religious hocus pocus a sign saying Obama = Evolution would probably be what they'd use
- inactive, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2No, this was McCain, not Obama.
- hangingchad, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2Even within the republican party, Bush is a four letter word.!!!!
It used to be that an incumbent party would want to be associated with a two term president. Even the republicans are now admitting that Bush is a ***** and want no association with him. - Mihey, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2So that shows how much McCain thinks of Bush to consider any relation offending and disruptive to his public image.
- Tollboi, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2Right, because we know what kind of people carry around signs and speak their mind in America.
- wwwonka, on 07/08/2008, -3/+5seriously...what a McShame.
- DroolingSheep, on 07/08/2008, -5/+7McAncient strikes again.
