- R34C7, on 10/12/2007, -2/+196Ahh I see, so we have completely diluted the meaning of the word terrorist because of its past effectiveness in pushing forward agendas... Did anyone else see this coming? It is the new magic word for achieving your goals, the ultimate scare tactic with little need for thought or strategic planning.
I don't like religion, religious people are terrorists.
I don't like atheists, atheists are terrorists.
I don't like libertarians, libertarians are terrorists.
therefore
I don't like X, X are terrorists; is the new world equation for tyranny. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+159Hello?. ... Americans? .... Anyone?
There is no doubt. We know in Europe. This is a dictatorial state in the making.
Act NOW or you will be the manservants of a small obscenely rich power elite.
Extremely poor manservants. - Platypus3333, on 10/21/2007, -3/+145Forgive me if I'm wrong, but hasn't opposition to a strong federal government traditionally been associated with the Republican Party?
My, how things have changed... - shyfrog, on 10/21/2007, -2/+118looks like they stole the idea from Pennsylvania:
http://www.pa-aware.org/who-are-terrorists/domestic-5.asp - knupso, on 10/21/2007, -4/+107I love this little quote under separatist groups.
"Many American Indians have long sought better self-determination. One of the most vocal and radical organizations is the American Indian Movement. These groups have at times had run-ins with law enforcement, mainly in the western US."
How dare they be upset that we took their land. - gmason08, on 10/12/2007, -3/+105Thanks AL and PA for providing both a concise laundry list of what the majority needs to recognize as the Real Issues and confirmation for the small minority who have already figured out that concentrated power is just as popular as it has ever been.
Individual Freedom/Human Dignity=No Concentrated Power/No Easy Profits
Rationalizing the above equation yields:
Individual Freedom/Human Dignity=Poor/nonexistent PR Campaign
Individual Freedom/Human Dignity=Poor Investment Opportunity
Mathematics of Control, Chapter 1
- rancemo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+100According to their site, the following are also likely to be terrorists:
These radical elements are found in many of the following movements:
Environmentalists
Anti-genetic Activists (opposed to genetically altered crops)
Animal Rights
Pro-life
Anti-Nuclear
Anti-War
And Gay Rights Activists
So, basically if you stand up for anything, you might be a terrorist. Anyone who doesn't see right through this crap is a complete moron. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+95i saw one that listed possible terrorists as:
people who have a copy of the constitution of the united states of america
people who quote the bill of rights
people who defend property rights
protesters
basically anyone respecting life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness - mstebbins, on 10/12/2007, -2/+87I've always wanted to meet you guys. Guess I'll get to see you all in Guantanamo!
- stealthc, on 10/21/2007, -1/+74Apparently terrorists and hate groups also consist of gun owners, self-reliance types and anyone who believes in Jesus Christ and says so.
Statism is a religion people, and they're trying to force you to worship their stupid impotent little idol. - wjglenn, on 10/12/2007, -3/+75I am an Alabamian and on behalf of my entire state -- Sorry, everyone!
- pmcall221, on 10/12/2007, -2/+73"If you don't like big brother looking over your shoulder... you might be a terrorist."

"If you gotten' bombed less times than you have made a bomb... you might be a terrorist"
-Jeff Hamasworthy - jeffiek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+65This is for all the "what do you have to fear if you're not guilty" people. Can't they realize that the definition of "guilty" has always been whatever the government says it is?
Will they ever wake up?
If they do, will it be BEFORE it's too late? - spudnic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+65@R34C7 (#6615987)
It's happened before with 'witch' and 'communist' too. - caleb4mj, on 10/21/2007, -4/+67See, its not Democrat vs. Republican, or Left vs. Right, or Christian vs. Atheist. It is what it has always been. Us vs. Them!!!
Who is us? We are the people.
Who is them? They are the government, the people who try to control the people.
Since its all just people I strongly believe the people will win. :) - look4alec, on 10/21/2007, -2/+64I just dropped them this nice little nasty-gram. I hope I don't get visited or put on the no-fly list, however I feel like it's worth it either way...

Your definition of Terrorists as part of an anti-government group is ridiculous.
I am against large government.
I am against government control such as gun control.
I believe the constitution has been subverted. Actually I believe it's been perverted, bent, and shunned to fit the needs and agenda of a power hungry administration.
Does this make me a terrorist?
If you say yes, you are seriously deluded.
I do not have a gun or any weapon. I do not meet with others who believe the same thing. I am doing what real Americans do: using my right to speak out against a corrupt administration without being penalized or shunned as a terrorist. The Bush Administration are criminals. I don't have to list their constitution dodging offenses. 39% of Americans believe Bush should be impeached for these offenses.
Guess what? Your propaganda is much like that of the Nazis and the Marxists. Everyone who offers dissent against the supreme power is a threat and should be grouped and persecuted. This is entirely wrong, and against everything that America stands for.
I am a patriotic individual, and I believe this country is not beyond redemption if we change how things are run now. Don't pigeonhole and classify people into groups to distrust, hate, or scapegoat. Usually, "overcoming stereotypes" is a good thing. You use it to scare people even more, making it into a bloody witch hunt. Abide by your own creed for God's sake (overcome stereotypes).
I would never hurt anyone or act out to make more of a point. I do not believe the federal government should be disassembled. However, I will do my best to make it fall in line. I will do this by voting for the candidate who I think will honor the constitution and do the best job to protect the people of the United States without robbing us of freedom and claiming that because I don't agree with you, I am the enemy.
If that is your definition, then many people fit that bill. The majority of the American people are currently terrorists by your measure. This just proves that absolute pointlessness of the war on terror. The more terrorists you create by labeling people, the more you can catch. What's the bloody point though, your just making people edgy, and *get this* TERRIFIED by your warnings.
I demand a response defending your statements and I demand you remove this content from your page, as an American who should be able to speak out against government without you suggesting that my neighbors turn me in because I don't agree with what you do. It's my duty to stand for what I believe for, and I will make my point by VOTING.
I would most prefer a phonecall. If you are not able to call, then email me back or write my house. All the info you need is below.
Very Sincerely,

In the 50s, we had McCarthyism. Everyone was scared our way of life would be destroyed by communism. Completely innocent people were accused of being communist, and faced jail time.
These days, the government tries to get us to believe if we don't fight terrorism in the Middle East, they will attack us in the US. Innocent people are arrested and tortured for no good reason.
It is the same thing, with a new name. - TheTaoOfBill, on 10/12/2007, -1/+42The description sounds like a bad redneck joke.

- groovychk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+35Thoughts from a famous domestic terrorist:
“Most codes extend their definitions of treason to acts not really against one’s country. They do not distinguish between acts against the government, and acts against the oppressions of the government. The latter are virtues, yet have furnished more victims to the executioner than the former, because real treasons are rare; oppressions frequent. The unsuccessful strugglers against tyranny have been the chief martyrs of treason laws in all countries.” - Thomas Jefferson - PiratePanties, on 10/12/2007, -0/+34...and some people have a seriously skewed sense of the meaning of "values". In one breath you tell us to leave Alabama alone, and in the next insult California?
I live in the south, and frankly am sick of people who pop up and try say "oh, the south still has good old fashioned values, leave them alone". I would tend to agree if it weren't for the fact the people that say that are trying to push some agenda of fear or hate. If you mean this is a place where a man can still open a door for a woman and not get smacked, then you're right. If you are trying to paint the south as a bunch of paranoid bigots, then for the love of God, shut-up already. You've already suceeded in giving those of us here a bad name, Christians a bad name, and now it seems Libertarians.
And just for the record, it doesn't matter what state your in. There are people in Alabama that are nuts, too, just as there are "old-fashioned" people living in California. I figured that was common-sense... - eatsushi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+35everytime an article of political stupidity gets published, I put $10 bucks in my "Money to buy own Country" jar.
- greves, on 10/12/2007, -1/+35@knupso:
Check out PA's take on American Indian "terrorists":
• American Indian Activists - push for a return of "stolen" lands and self-determination
...speechless. - 6502programmer, on 10/12/2007, -3/+36I'm pretty sure that England considered George Washington, Ben Franklin, and all their rebel scum friends to be "terrorists".
- NinjaBoy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+33I cant wait till some tight ass neo con goes ***** crazy and blows something up.
People who oppose the government might be terrorists
People who support the government might be terrorists - fegul, on 10/12/2007, -3/+34So wouldnt that include conservatives? I thought conservatives believed in a small federal government
- NikoKun, on 10/12/2007, -3/+34In this day and age very few people seem as truly American, as Libertarians are. They are the only group that still believes in what this country stands for, and what it was formed for.
Yes a few people in other parties got it right too... but more often than not, they don't get the vote, or they never follow through...
Those who call Libertarians Terrorists, are just conservative nuts that don't want to lose their absolute power...
Libertarian = True American Freedom the way it was meant to be... And although the term libertarian didn't exist back then, the founding fathers were more libertarian than anything else... lol
The Federal government should never be what it has become, it is only there for foreign politics, and for keeping the states united... that's all...
Gun restrictions, wars on drugs, and such are all just violations of our constitutional rights, our Inalienable Rights that no person can take from another person. But these days, our government is full of corrupt power junkies that will never let this country go back to the free way it was meant to be. -_- - bjxrn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+30Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master
- mekongcola, on 10/12/2007, -1/+31"In general, these terrorists claim that the U.S. government is infringing on their individual rights, and/or that the government's policies are criminal and immoral. Such groups may hold that the current government is violating the basic principles laid out by the U.S. Constitution…"
So the patriot act, the suspension of habuis corpus, domestic spying without a FISA court order, etc, somehow isn't a violation of our rights and privacy as laid out by the bill of rights and the constitution? Homeland security now classifies anyone who disagrees with government policy as a "terrorist"?
If I didn't click the link and read it for myself I would have thought it the ramblings of some conspiracy nut...The fact that Homeland security endorses this type of fascist statement is truly terrifying... - Nija, on 10/12/2007, -0/+30I'll be in the orange jump suit.
- wtf00, on 10/12/2007, -1/+28You can't even oppose anything anymore in our country because right way you are ***** terrorist... Well ***** that, I will stand by my constitution/bill of rights I have the right to speak freely I have right to believe what the ***** want if I believe jerking off is going to get me into pussy heaven so be it.. This country turn into controling/ can't mine there own business/force religion on others/ regulation /corp/country.
- groovychk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+27Huh??
- cmkennedy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+25This has got to be a joke.
Some sick, stupid, disgusting joke. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+26are you nuts? it says people who believe america is losing its soverignty are terrorists! america has lost its soverignty, its called the north american union. and the constitution is being subverted. ron paul 08
- Nija, on 10/12/2007, -0/+24SUBJECT : Am I a Terrorist?
------
I believe that the U.S. government is infringing on individual rights, and that the government's policies are criminal.
I believe that any government or organization that has power over others will eventually become corrupt and abusive.
I live in an urban area and have recently graduated college.
I am against most governmental gun control.
I believe the constitution has been subverted.
I believe ANYTHING can and, if you don't like it, should be protested.
I am for animal rights.
I am anti-war.
I believe that all citizens should have perfectly equal rights from the government. (Gay Rights/Marriage)
Does this make me a terrorist?
------
That's the email I just sent to director@dhs.alabama.gov.
So... am I a terrorist? If I am, I lay claim to code name 'V' right now. - TBirdMustang, on 10/12/2007, -2/+25Sorry to tell you this but your precious Democratic Party was hijacked too.
Both Parties were "hijacked" through the New Deal administration (FDR's administration for all of you who smoked during US History Class), through the revolutions of the 1960s & 1970s
ORIGINALLY (as in early 1800s)
Democrats: Small government, low tariff, lassiez-faire economics, and the Monroe doctrine (AKA we need to get the **** out of the resdt of the world's business)
Republicans: Big government (they came out of the Federalists), protectionist tariff (high import prices on foreign goods), protectionist economics, Civil Rights
MODERN (early 2000s)
Democrats: Big government, protectionist economics, protectionist tariff, "civil rights"
Republicans: Small government (Jeffersonian principle ---> props to whoever responds with quote corresponding to this), & Free Trade
Both parties have been hijacked from their original ideals
So....
In the early 1800s I would have been a Jeffersonian Democrat
Now in the early 2000s I am a Reagan/ Goldwater Republican or Libertarian
And in Alabama and Pennsylvania I am a terrorist.... and yet I have never broken the law
-TBird
PS: on that quiz posted by faber, is there a "None of the Above" for #2? - nexah3, on 10/12/2007, -3/+26I'm calling it Petertopia. I was gonna call it 'Peterland', but that name was already taken by the gay bar down by the airport.
- jgzman, on 10/12/2007, -4/+27I happen to agree with the nutcase. If the government gets a weapon, we should be allowed the same weapon. There is a natural limit, however, on private citizens owning ICBMs, and that is INFRASTRUCTURE. Even if I could pay for an ICBM, can I pay for the silo, the maintenance, the targeting computers, the fuel, the manpower, etc?
And normal people still wouldn't be able to buy nuclear weapons until someone sets up a private uranium mine, and refinement facility. I don't think the government is obligated to sell nukes to people, they simply should not prevent the free market from providing them.
It's not a perfect theory; I'm still not sure how to keep people from shooting down jet liners. But I'm sure the Dept. Homeland Security could take care of that. At least then they would have a legitimate job to do. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22I have a feeling we're going to be seeing alot of the new buzzword "Domestic Terrorist" in the next year. Maybe it will be broadly defined to categorize those who oppose the government on national issues as "terrorists".

Imagine that. People who think the constitution isn't being followed (which it isn't) are terrorists? Wow.
- TheTankengine, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22I really hope you are able to tell the difference between libertarians and librarians.
