- blacklist, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Is this the future of America? Don't you dare say anything we disagree with or we will destroy you. The future is looking very bleak.
So if Republicans start boycotting what they disagree with to answer the Dems boycott, what will be left? - truepatriot2007, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11So MoveOn.org is upset "because [Fox News] says the network characterizes itself as a fair news network"....WAIT A MINUTE...Let's read what MoveOn.org charicterizes itself as...from it's own website, "MoveOn.org Civic Action is a 501(c)(4) organization which primarily focuses on nonpartisan education and advocacy on important national issues." MoveOn.org certainly is NOT "nonpartisan" ??? They may not come right out and say it but they are liberal to the core and will only endorse democrats. What hypocrites..same old liberal bull...do as I say and not as I do.
- MadScientist68, on 10/10/2007, -4/+12satanatnmtedu: Perhaps you misunderstand actions AND words
The libs always say that the are for free speech. If this was done against air america the outrage would be widespread all over Lame Stream Media. - iluvgossip, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8This is such a bad idea. You have about 30% of heavy support for either party leaving about 40% of waverers. If this winds up successful then you'll see push back and similar tactics used against Leftist sources. If that succeeds then theoretically you have purged both the Left and the Right but you won't get news without bias, you'll just get even more bland. We'll get even less coverage of anything of importance and Paris Hilton will ascend to become Goddess of the Universe because she and the other pop tarts will be the only safe things to talk about.
But, this won't work. Boycotts aren't effective, never have been and never will be. Instead what we'll see is that Home Depot, one of the targets, will get plugs from the Right. Blogs will line up to say, "Hey, make sure to shop at Home Depot and stick it to those Lefties!" I remember back in the day when some feminist groups went after some orange juice brand -- IIRC -- for advertising on Rush Limbaugh. Next thing you know they were sold out at all the stores! Good work pressure groups!
Plus, this is just offensive. ONE freakin' network that leans more right than left and you whiners can't handle it? - rjacobsen, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6This is great, a shopping list for conservatives, thanks move-on!
- jakeson2, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9Gee Whiz, I am going to have to watch mathews, obermun (spelling intentional), russert, shieffert, and couric to see what advertisers still pay to keep those liberal outlets running. Then those are the ones I will have to do without. After all, the liberals seem to think the Republicans are the wealthier and so our boycott will hurt more than the liberal blogs ever can. I will start tonight. Thanks for the heads up!
- savage2, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7I don't believe the First Amendment says , say as I say or believe as I believe or be silenced. The Communist Party is alive and well in this country.
they just changed the name to the Democrats. - jimski1961, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8Fascism that is what the left has to resort to. If you can not debate in a civil manner liberals want to shut you up. I smell a civil war coming to America.
- Dhalsim007, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Advertisers go where the most eyes can see them. Fox News has the most eyes watching in prime-time, so why would advertisers leave? Duh!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Like Stalinists the world over, they try to suppress any speech they don't like. And the weird thing is, they don't even acknowledge that what they're doing is wrong. Liberalism isn't a political position, it's a mental disorder.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Librals have 98% of the media. It seems they want it all.
- JLtheP, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Liberals are just worried because people are watching FoxNews, which means they are leaving the liberal networks (yes, NBC, CBS, ABC, and CNN are ALL liberal or at least left-leaning).
It's just stupid. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Moron.
- Nighttime, on 10/10/2007, -4/+7This could be the beginning of the end of a free press. I could see this escalate to newspapers, radio, magazines, etc. Way to go Libs.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Exactly.
- bct40, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6This is soo dumb, all it will accomplish is a reaction from Conservatives, and others who see it as what it is, censorship. I wonder about the people who run these groups, how do they get in these positions? It cannot be based on intelligence or accomplishment.
- Navigator7, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Great....FoxNews gets free advertising.
As the liberals have nothing to offer America......I can see their motives.
Just imagine what they are doing for the people. - CaptainNoPants, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2you're a terrorist.
- frodo069, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1/sarcasm=on
I guess it's ok when afa.net or frc.org start a letter writing or call in campaign but if the scary liberals do it, well then, it must be news!
/sarcasm=off - migtex1234, on 10/10/2007, -5/+6FREE SPEECH ho. NOT DEMOCRATS CANNOT STAND IT. THEY ARE A SCARY GROUP. RECALL NANCY P. & HILLARY (WERE OVERHEARD) WANTING TO ELIMINATE THIS FREEDOM. THEY & TRENT LOTT SAID "THERE WAS TOO MUCH "TALKING" ON THE TALK RADIO (CONSERVATIVE) AND WE DO NOT NEED TO HEAR FROM THE PEOPLE ON THIS, ETC. WHO DO THEY THINK ELECTS THEM? THESE COMMUNISTS "THAT DO NOT WANT TO HEAR FROM ANYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH THEM ". THEN THEY WENT ON TO "VOTE" THEMSELVES A RAISE. TERM LIMITS ON THE "ROYAL" JERKS..."MY OPINION IS WORTH MORE THAN THE CITIZENS".. THIS CONGRESS (WITH LESS THAN 12% APPROVAL RATE) ARE JUST CREEPY. AND HILLARY STATED "AMERICANS HAVE TOO MANY FREEDOMS".... WAKE UP AMERICAN. 90% OF CONGRESS WANTS TO RULE YOU.
- migtex1234, on 10/10/2007, -5/+6ALL THOSE WHO FINDS CENSORSHIP REPULSIVE & ANTI-AMERICAN
SHOULD BE WRITING TO SPONSORS AT FOX --LETTING THEM KNOW
WE WILL NOT BUY IF THEY FOLD TO THE LEFTEST. I HAVE ALREADY DONE SO....
DO NOT FORGET WHO PAYS FOR "move on" - Anti-U.S. SORUS. - frodo069, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1But it's not censorship when www.afa.net, www.frc.org, www.parentstv.org do it! Why not???
- FB1BB1BB1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Don't watch the MSM. Teach them a lesson. And make sure to shop at Home Depot for your household needs.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Writing in Digg is a step in the right direction. Now, get off your ***** lazy ass and start petitioning and submitting reforms at the local level, and in those new laws, also add that no judge can rule against it except a State's Supreme Court or the Federal Supereme Court. Get out there, because I am.
- Charlotte_Web, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1This is a stupid reactionary move because Bill O'Reilly went after JetBlue for their support of MoveOn.org, and JetBlue buckled.
There's a big difference between all of the incendiary rhetoric that MoveOn.org spouts, and that right-of-center commentary that you hear on Fox News. I don't really see this going anywhere. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Unfortunate that this will never make it to the front page. I guess DIGG is a liberal circle jerk after all.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, Headline News, ABC, CBS, NBC, NY Times, LA TIMES, Newsweek, Time Mag, AP news, Reuters are all LEFT. There is only news organization that is not: FOX NEWS. So these losers at moveon.org want to shut down.
- netboyrick, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0It may be time for a second revolution in this country. Most conservatives woke up to the fact that the Republican Party had become corrupted and no longer represented them. I hope true liberals and Democrats will realize that their Party is also completely corrupted. When the government no longer represents the people it is time for the people to take it back by whatever means necessary. I personally just changed my voter registration to "no party affiliation". Maybe if enough voters do this, we may encourage a new crop of leaders willing to actually do the people's business.
- dugman74, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2To put this into some perspective, Bill went after the Kos because they were called US troops retarded. The Kos is a terrorist organization. Bill is opposed to terrorism.
- frodo069, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1The Christian looneys have been doing this for years! see: www.afa.net www.frc.org www.parentstv.org. What makes it news now?
- CaptainNoPants, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1welcome to the party pal!
- Nighttime, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2The timing is real good, when are the dkos presidential debates?
- Chestnutridge, on 10/10/2007, -4/+2They already do! Where have you been?
- hammerattack, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1If I hear one more lunatic leftie misuse the word "fascist" I'm going to hork my lunch into a baggie and mail it to them. GET A DICTIONARY YOU TWITS!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -7/+3Ain't it funny to watch these people?
Fooled into thinking there's actually a difference between these pseudo parties. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -8/+3mathew says the Democrats are fascists...Har har har!!!
The whole ***** system is fascist you idiot. Both parties are in control of the system. So, guess what? Both parties are fascists!
Try to deny Bush is a fascist...common let's hear it. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -7/+2Burried. Not only for the submitter's troll, but for wrong topic.
You deserve a cockpunch, sir. - smileydude, on 10/10/2007, -7/+1I was going to subscribe to the lifelock service until while scanning the radio, I heard rush or some other numbskull personally hawking it. I probably heard about the service on the radio to begin with, but hearing that rush is getting paid personally to read their schpiel, i'm really turned off by their marketing. It seems like a good service i could use, which simplifies opt-out option privacy, especially with the dma phone number list. I sent the company an email saying i can't subscribe until they stop associating so closely with freakshow drug addicts and loofah fetishists on the hate radio.
- satanatnmtedu, on 10/10/2007, -13/+5Inaccurate only for the rhetoric. I suggest that Republicans hate America more than Democrats; I tend to look at actions rather than words.
