- principle, on 11/13/2007, -8/+79Bush will not leave even if he is caught on tape. He has no morals or principals. This is why the Democrats are so scared of him. They are scared that he will use legal (and illegal) powers the Republican Congress gave him in 2006, such as the H.R.5122 Sec. 1076, NSPD51 and HSPD20. These acts give the President legal means to suspend Constitution and declare martial law based on his own determination. And to show that he means to use these powers, Gonzales ran Operation FALCON between April 2005 and October 2006. The Democrats are convinced that he will destroy the country before they will get to him. They are hoping that he might peacefully go away at the end of his term. However, in doing nothing about numerous violations of Constitution by Bush, the Democrats became guilty of failing to protect and defend the Constitution. Members of Congress who through action or inaction fail to protect and defend the Constitution are in direct violation of their oath under Article VI and 5 USC 3331.
So what Bush could be charged with? For starters, he authorized spying on US citizens in direct violation of the IV Amendment. Then there are hundreds of illegal Signing Statements, which are also in violation of Constitution Article I sec. 7.
Now, the President knowing that it was illegal had authorized wire-tapping 45 times without FISA court, which is a felony punishable by 5 years in jail. The President could face 225 year in jail before any charges of criminal conspiracy are even considered. - phnx0221, on 11/13/2007, -6/+53Below, is Dennis Kucinich's campaign platform as per his speech at the Cleveland City Hall announcing that he was running for President. These are all social issues that face each and every person living in this country. Not to mention, he is one of the few congressional representatives to actively call for impeachment of the vice president, and president for war crimes and for undermining the constitution.
This was taken from wikipedia, as it's the most concise and easy to read, but it's also on his website at http://www.kucinich4president.com.

- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -6/+37To some of the above commenters: "We're losing our democracy" does not imply "the US is a Democracy." It implies that our system of government is becoming LESS democratic.
To the Ron Paul/Anti-NWO crowd: In this video, Kucinich is speaking out against the use of the Military to police the public, a.k.a. martial law. Where is your congressman on this issue? Another issue of great importance to a certain demographic is the so-called North-American Union: Kucinich has made his position clear - he would withdraw the US from NAFTA.. - 89992, on 11/13/2007, -0/+30Little do most people know, we have ALREADY lost it. It's time to take it back.
- Stryder81, on 11/13/2007, -3/+33Kucinich Is doing the right thing. The point of this is to let the " WORLD " know that the U.S. isn't behind Bush & Cheney's War, They are acting on their own.
Don't sleep on Kucinich, he is a bad mofo, look at his past. - ironhide, on 11/13/2007, -2/+25I'd prefer someone thinking they saw a UFO than someone who thinks they saw WMDs
- jeffiek, on 11/13/2007, -44/+64Someone should tell Kucinich the US isn't a democracy. It's a Constitutional Republic.
We're losing our FREEDOM, not out democracy. Section 1615 sounds like more of the same old same old by the current administration, and should go down the drain with them. But let's not forget that it's freedom at risk, not democracy. They're not the same and never have been. - schwab002, on 11/13/2007, -2/+18great platform. he has my vote.
- zantos420, on 11/13/2007, -2/+18flink it is people like you that makes this country the way it is with the mentality of "you are wasting your time" when you try and change the things that strip us of our freedoms.
- objectcode, on 11/13/2007, -3/+17god told bush this might happen
- SuperMoses, on 11/13/2007, -1/+14Lately? Look at his voting record.
- krnldmp, on 11/13/2007, -3/+15You're wasting mine.
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -1/+13lately? He's been in politics for decades, and his message hasn't changed a bit.
- phnx0221, on 11/13/2007, -1/+12Because he finally has a venue for which he will be heard and taken seriously, instead of being pushed aside and silenced. His voting record, and policy records have actually remained fairly consistent over the years, it's not that he's only doing these things now. It's only that he has more mediums with which to be vocal.
- masterm1nd, on 11/13/2007, -7/+18"Constitutional Representative Democratic Republic" Haha, never heard of that one before...
The most accurate term for the US government is a Constitutional Republic or a Representative Republic. - geddon, on 11/13/2007, -1/+12Then you should try listening to Dennis Kucinich. He knows quite a lot about Democracy.
- kag9000, on 11/13/2007, -0/+10various metal hat arguments don't cut it flink405, in your feable attempt to dissmiss what principle is saying.
The fact is these laws and admendments are on the statute books, and that means they could be enforced at any time, despite the fact they violate the constitution. Maybe Bush won't use them, maybe forgone-media picked H Clinton, who knows - but you can bet they will be used, one day. Most likely by stealth via some other treaty such as the NAU or similar.
Don't believe it? Well just ask yourself this question. If they are not going to enforce them, then why did they spend the time running them through Congress? - reddevil3, on 11/13/2007, -1/+11The website is actually http://www.dennis4president.com
- geddon, on 11/13/2007, -3/+13The next time someone asks you to breed: Just say no.
- statrick, on 11/13/2007, -4/+13hundreds of thousands of people have reported UFO sightings. UFO doesn't always mean from outer space. hell i think hundreds report seeing a UFO in one night in Arizona.
are they all crazy? - ApokalypseNow, on 11/13/2007, -5/+14Coming from someone with a Ron Paul picture in their profile, this is so very ironic.
- geddon, on 11/13/2007, -1/+10Faux News wasted your time feeding you Right Wing rhetoric -- and you, in turn, wasted my time reading your repetition.
- phnx0221, on 11/13/2007, -3/+11Who is also brilliant. She has a Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies and Theocracy, as well as a Master's degree in Conflict Resolution in Wold Politics.
- TheRealAlzabo, on 11/13/2007, -2/+10Cause someone has to and at HE'S got some sack.....
- geddon, on 11/13/2007, -0/+8Kucinich has been cleaning up the front page of politics lately.
- TypeEE, on 11/13/2007, -2/+10I do
- BlacklabelSAR, on 11/13/2007, -2/+9Just like Nixon, calling all Democrats a Communists. Tell Jeezus I said hello (as opposed to Jesus) I looked at your previous posts. You are a Fundamentalist *****.
- freezeout, on 11/13/2007, -4/+11well save it... right after the Dancing With The Stars finale..wait, but then American Idol starts..ah f*ck it we'll be fine..
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -2/+9Why do you hate the US?
- thecatcantalk, on 11/13/2007, -0/+7Gosh, trying to impeach Bush is just like trying to report a crooked cop...to his drinking buddies and coworkers in uniform. Uphill work. Especially given that the current campaign finance system amounts to little more than legalized bribery.
Impeach, convict, deport to the Moon. Repeat if necessary. - inactive, on 11/13/2007, -0/+6How much do you want to bet, and is it in US dollars? If you bet $20 USD, it might not even cover a postage stamp by 2009.
- kag9000, on 11/13/2007, -0/+6He took the oath of office to 'protect the Constitution of the United States of America', he's been undermining it ever since. Is that not enough reason?
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -1/+7I don't think Kucinich has any illusions about winning. If anything, he's running for president because it gets his congressional work more attention/public support.
- pintomp3, on 11/13/2007, -5/+11Dennis Kucinich represents the priorities and will of the american people more than any other candidate:
http://www.dehp.net/candidate/stats.php - shagen454, on 11/13/2007, -0/+6Unidentified Flying Object. It doesn't mean aliens were aboard, GOD, why have Americans turned into such close-minded idiots. Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan and many many members of NASA have proclaimed to have seen UFO's. They are probably experimental craft but who the ***** knows, open your 'god damned' mind.
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -1/+7prolly some of the people who elected him too. its too bad for you right wing nuts that with the advent of blogging the american public is becoming more progressive
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -4/+10Thanks for bringing such a trivial point to a conversation about actual constitutional issues.
- geddon, on 11/13/2007, -0/+6I once saw a picture of a Fundamentalist *****. While I expected the tightest little pucker, I was amazed to see a tube running from their bowels to an outlet in the wall that lead to a horse ***** factory.
- krnldmp, on 11/13/2007, -3/+8You lose you're FREEDOM you're going to lose democracy too, wiz. Trust me. When it's gone you'll know you actually had some before.
- notque, on 11/13/2007, -1/+6Chomsky's opinion is that he's worse than Clinton. His social policies are bad enough that Clinton would be preferable.
- siska1, on 11/13/2007, -2/+7Kucinich deserves a lot of credit... Him and Ron Paul are the only ones that seem to be working to represent the people and restore freedom...
That said, Kucinich is dead wrong on gun control and some general philosophical issues about the role of government...
Oh, and the founding fathers hated the idea of Democracy...thats why we're supposed to be a Constitutional Republic with limited democracy...
But if Ron Paul wasn't running I'd vote for Kucinich - TypeEE, on 11/13/2007, -3/+8Yes, I saw all his stances on issues, but most importantly, he is anti-war. I would vote for anyone who would bring the troops home immediately.
- RofLmaonnaise, on 11/13/2007, -1/+5Guys...Ron Paul is friends with Kucinich. They team up to vote in line with the Constitution many times.
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -0/+4Learn the difference between 'there', 'their', and 'they're' if you want any credibility.
- RofLmaonnaise, on 11/13/2007, -0/+4can you be any more cliche than calling someone a nutjob? Seriously. You wouldn't last a minute debating either Kucinich OR Paul. It's easy for you to attack from a computer chair.
Also, you act as if you've proven there's no intelligent life besides us. Love the proof. Q.E.D. - amoirae, on 11/13/2007, -2/+6Which is why Bush loyalists and Ron Paul truthers are so prolific here.
- Frnnkdlxx, on 11/13/2007, -7/+11Actually, Ron Paul has vociferously stated his concern about a veritable 'Police State' many times on Alex Jones' show as well as a number of small time interviews with local parties interested in his platform. They can be watched on Youtube. As for his lack of stating his most dire concerns for it at the moment are his attempts to ...say... Overturn the Military Commissions Act... Oh, did you forget about that? The bill that he brought up to congress? Oh... And also, he's scared *****, like the rest of us about the economy. If you missed it, Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, the father of Reagonomics and one of the most respected economists on the globe, "literally, I looked it up", says that due to America's debt crisis and looming super DEPression, the entire planet could slump into a mega recession along with us. That means that what the Federal reserve is doing to us, which is going to create hyperinflation here like what happened in Germany, will effect all our economic partners that could help us. Europe is going to be so hard hit that their entire markets back could break and you could see the decline of man. A 50 year reversal in energy advancements that keep hundreds of millions alive a day.
So there you have it. Ron Paul is on the Economics (most important) front fighting to inform people about what's about to happen, while Kucinich is talking about a police state that would form AFTER the said economic implosion and flash mob riots of middle class Americans reduced to Somalian level poverty.
Laugh or cry. Those are your only two emotions you have left, because The Fed IS going to call us on our money. And when they do... -
