Kucinich: Help me restore 'rule of law in America'
rawstory.com — Dennis Kucinich has released an Independence Day message which invokes the words of Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address to urge support for impeachment and the restoration of the rule of law. "Some Democratic leaders say impeachment's off the table," Kucinich begins. "So let's set a new table for our nation, upon which we place the Constitution."

I signed it. I hope everyone does.
I used to dislike Kucinich in 2000, and 2004. But this election cycle, I think it is getting harder for the corporate media to construct a misleading identity for him, mainly due to alternative media.

- MikaelMN, on 07/04/2008, -2/+11One Representative we can trust to work for the people. Wexler, Ellison and a handful more are working to support and defend the Constitution against the domestic enemies to it residing in our White House. Where are the rest of them? Where is YOUR Representative? Camp outside their office and demand they honor their oaths!
- irvman21, on 07/05/2008, -12/+3I wonder how many of those he is supposed to represent he could have helped had he been doing anything but trying to keep his name in the headlines by pursing a course that the entire sane world has known for the past 2 years was never going to happen. He knows nothing will ever come of this other than keeping his name in the paper and that is the point.
- MyBookie, on 07/05/2008, -3/+15It's too bad we couldn't have a Kucinih/Paul presidency. Both very brave patriots.
- mrcoderga, on 07/05/2008, -0/+7It is high time the public began to hire statesmen rather than party men into the public service.
- vault, on 07/05/2008, -6/+3Would've been the most unelectable ticket in history.
- Arkavus, on 07/05/2008, -2/+2I would prefer that they ran against each other as leaders of their parties. It's a win-win compared to what we have now.

More like a lose-lose for the majority of the population that does not want extreme libertarianism or extreme socialism. The voters proved that in the primaries.

- shadowmoose, on 07/05/2008, -0/+4I was gonna vote for him to be president too.
- mrcoderga, on 07/05/2008, -0/+3The aim of every political constitution is, or ought to be, first to obtain for rulers men who possess most wisdom to discern, and most virtue to pursue, the common good of the society; and in the next place, to take the most effectual precautions for keeping them virtuous whilst they continue to hold their public trust.

Is impeachment not the most effectual precaution for keeping President Bush virtuous while he continues to hold the public trust?
