- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -6/+95Congressman Kucinich is the only liberal running on the Democratic ticket. Good luck, Congressman.
- mh9558, on 10/10/2007, -8/+51Tylox... people like you are EXACTLY the reason Ron Paul is running 2% in the polls. Please don't campaign for him, he doesn't need your help.
- UnstableMind, on 10/10/2007, -3/+45Holy *****, Bush has been ***** busy here lately, first this, now domestic spying with satellites. Welcome to Fascism, America, you have officially failed me and the rest of the citizenry...
- FRANKeB, on 10/10/2007, -5/+43The U.S. will attack Iran sometime in late October and it won't be a ground war. Another terrorist attack will be authorized to occur here. A dirty bomb will 'legitimize' the use of nukes. The U.S. will 'show restraint' and resort to using tactical nukes to vaporize Iranian targets.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+41Kucinich 08
- siszam, on 10/10/2007, -4/+28People like you are doing more to hurt Ron Paul than to help him.
- maiku00, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24KUCINICH FOR PRESIDENT!! Besides Gravel, he is the only democratic nominee with a true spine.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Kucinich
http://www.dennis4president.com/ - Buddhaismybuddy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21NO actually he is a socialist, and if you think Edwards, Obama or Clinton are liberals you obviously don't know what you are talking about.
The neo-cons have totally skewed the line between liberal and conservative. I would say those three candidates would fall somewhere in the middle.
Dennis Kucinich is a true liberal. - art42, on 10/10/2007, -3/+22Not much would get done. They have opposing policies.
- atheinostic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19Spoken like someone who has absolutely no idea what the words "communist" and "liberal" mean. You're either being very disingenuous or you're just really stupid.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19Sure, it's not like BushCo has given anyone reason to think they would invade another nation based on total *****.
- notque, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19What If Iran Had Invaded Mexico? by Noam Chomsky
http://www.chomsky.info/articles/20070405.htm
"Surely no sane person wants Iran (or any nation) to develop nuclear weapons. A reasonable resolution of the present crisis would permit Iran to develop nuclear energy, in accord with its rights under the Non-Proliferation Treaty, but not nuclear weapons. Is that outcome feasible? It would be, given one condition: that the U.S. and Iran were functioning democratic societies in which public opinion had a significant impact on public policy." - unida767, on 10/10/2007, -0/+17That is plausible and ***** up at the same
- sargentcrackers, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17I would like to see Kucinich win in '08.
- knowyourrights, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16I'm so ***** ashamed we have these people representing our country. How the hell did it come to this. Americans are extremely easygoing, personable, funny and entertaining people, WHAT the ***** are these people doing representing us, they are the complete opposite. Democracy my ass, the moment the approvals go below 30% the entire administration should get fired on principle.
- JohnFrum, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame...my point is, can't get fooled again! - gingerbreadcat, on 10/10/2007, -3/+17Kucinich 08!
- dionhewson, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13frank is on the money...Iran has been the main goal all along....Afghanistan and Iraq are just bonus points, Iran is 'their' goal and has always been...
- windcave, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14I think most people confuse the term liberal. Republicans call Democrats "progressive." Being from Spain and having lived under a Socialist run country, for me Democrats are equal to center right in Spain (such as the PP). And the Republicans the equivalent to the Falange (Franco's party). Kucinich seems to me the only liberal in the Democratic Party.
- dforty3, on 10/10/2007, -3/+16The international bankers were responsible for the depression.
- Buddhaismybuddy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12WTF? You have no idea how the world works.
"people hate us not for what we have done to them but for what and who we are"
Seriously dude, they dont care that we bomb their countries, kill their children, and destroy their cities, they just hate our freedom. - Kavok, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14We have three solid candidates imho:
Democratic-
Mike Gravel
Dennis Kucinich
Republican-
Ron Paul - exodar, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Kucinich is just plain awesome. I have watched all of the debates and he is the only dem. candidate besides Gravel that actually answers the damn questions directly.
Oh and his wife is friggin' HOT:
http://la.indymedia.org/uploads/2007/02/kucinich.elizabeth.militaryfamilies.speakout.awards_ceremony.2.q4up8z.jpg - MalenfantX, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Neither of which will be our options in the general election. We'll get a Republican authoritarian ***** against a Democratic authoritarian *****.
- KungFuJesus, on 10/10/2007, -3/+15Gravel is the bomb too
- narciblog, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11I honestly can't tell if that's genuine or a parody. If it's the latter, it's brilliant. If it's the former, I'm very worried for my country.
- janeuner, on 10/10/2007, -3/+14Get a blog?
- hiphoc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1070%+ of the people want the war to end. But the Media is telling us that candidates who are warmongers are leading in the polls??? WTF? That doesn't add up. You are against the war, but you will vote for a war monger? Who are they calling for these polls. Wouldn't it make sense that the 70+% who are anti war would vote for an antiwar candidate. Folks, believe and vote you conscience. Its obvious polling number are twisted. Kind of like how inflation is low, but the govt leaves off the inflation basket average oranges which have one up 17% in price and many other foods we eat daily. The inflation numbers do no include gasoline.. The numbers are cooked folks.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+14Kucinich '08.
He's the only liberal running. The rest are either centrists or fascists. - spyd3rweb, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10actually if you listen to the 'nuts' in office like Chertoff you will get all that information.
- Buddhaismybuddy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Why because we would use the money we saved from not attacking Iran on universal healthcare and better education?
- UglieJosh, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13Gravel is a liberal as well. He may get left off the debates now, because they are afraid of what he might say, but he is still running.
- 0zzy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Jesus son, stop doing this on Digg! I support Ron Paul too but spamming his name in any and every digg article isn't going to help!
- notque, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10As opposed to it being true, so it must be true. Because if other people come to a conclusion that you don't, it must be for some other reason that because it's valid.
Right. - SuperCujo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Iran is only your enemy because the people of Iran didn't want a US puppet leading their country. They would rather have someone that was one of them.
The US was, of course, quite annoyed at the loss of a friendly person in their beloved Middle East and decided to start hadning notes round the UN complaining that Iran isn't their friend anymore. - Lister169, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Since all that seems to matter is the label, why don't we just label everyone "friends" and bring the troops home.
- lovelyrita, on 10/10/2007, -20/+29I would never vote for a Libertarian and neither will most progressives. The Government, in the right hands, does lots of good for it's citizens. See the New Deal. Getting rid of government, or minimizing it to the point that it can't do anything, is not the answer to Americas problems.
- bromac, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Are you seriously talking to America as a incorporeal being, and excusing all its citizens?
If America is fascist, then you've failed yourselves by allowing it to happen. Stand up for yourself, it's not like "America", the word, is going to do something about it.
For ***** sakes Americans, stop WHINING about how much this admistration, Bush, or other stupid people are allowing it to happen while you take no action.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: America will reap what it has sown, and is entirely responsible for its own mess. - Buddhaismybuddy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10got my vote!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9So what should we do? Do we just give up and go turn ourselves into Big Brother's thought police?
Realism is good, defeatism is not.
Defeatism is what the system counts on among those few sheep who look up and see reality. I believe that the Internet may make it possible for one of these three candidate to get enough attention so that educated pole begin to question why the Emperor has no clothes.
But if we say "hey none of these guys will even get 1%", well you may as well go step in front of a bus. - futureteg, on 10/10/2007, -10/+18I am a Ron Paul supporter, but if I was voting democrat I would vote for Kucinich hands down, just like Ron Paul he is a man of his word...and seems to be the people's candidate and not a sell out.
- brentris, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9if you haven't noticed, these are pretty serious issues, and people don't want to roll over and just let it happen. Also, there's an election in this country next year, so we all want to bring about serious change.
- AnaHadWolves, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9What you're ALL forgetting is that Israel, possessor of over FIFTY nukes, will join the US in the bombing of Iran...OR...will bomb Iran alone but with the complicity and abetting of the United States.
Either way, we will have cemented our place in the Middle East as Israel's toadie and accomplice in killing Middle Easterners. - Dracos, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Have you stopped to consider how little sense it makes for Rove to resign, now or ever? The administration is lamely defending itself against new scandals almost weekly, and "the architect" is "going to spend time with his family"? They've put the last of the dominoes in place, it's just a matter of time before they set the tumbling in motion.
- thefirstenemy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11You'd probably make a more persuasive argument with paragraphs.
- Tiak, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Only when we've heard the exact same political opinion 12 times in the last hour.
- Syric, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8An embryo is not a baby. Neither is a blastula, or a zygote. They aren't even organisms for Pete's sake.
- oldman, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Or possibly you'll be sitting at your computer telling everyone to be complacent and do not resist, when the evil overlord comes for you!
- notque, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7http://www.liberal.org.il/#ENGLISH - Classical Libertarianism, or in other words, what Libertarianism means everyone else in the world except the United States.
- thegreathal, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7You better be voting for him, though. THAT's making your vote count.
