- algaeturd, on 09/22/2008, -0/+9More and more people are waking up to see that this is a crisis that's been discussed for DECADES and it's finally coming true.
Not so crazy now, huh? - jdc326, on 09/22/2008, -0/+7You silly person, acusticthoughts, you sit there listening to the talking points of the radical right and you think that the world is full of greedy neighbors..
This is a by product of Reagans trickle down economics, supply side economics, a vision of the their new world order.
22 of the past 30yrs we have followed the right wings world view and this is where we are today, does it matter at all to you people that we have high unemplyment, lower wages, staggering deficits and not one but two wars going on now..is this really ok to you people?
At what point is it that we can say that this experiment has not worked, when our children can no longer afford to go to a doctor, or read past the tenth grade level.
We dont manufacture anything in this country anymore, not a thing, not a light bulb or a cotton shirt, nothing, not a thing.
Dont blame your neighbor blame your right wing president and his twin Mcsame who believe that deregulation was the way to prosperity, but what they didnt say was that it was prosperity for the rich. The rest of us, well we will pay for the recovery.
4 more yrs of this and we might as well open our borders to mexico because we will all be as poor as they are..the third world in the good all U.S of A! - duggtodeath, on 09/22/2008, -1/+4Calm down, guys, I'll just print more money.

Doesn't have anything to do with the "Federal Reserve Banking System" or nothing like that.

After all, a secretive "quasi-private" cartel of central banks that are not accountable to the people is by far the most humanitarian money system. It's really a good idea to let politicians of whatever political stripe "borrow" from the Fed, effectively giving them a credit card with no limit.
And it is self-evident that the most humane monetary system constitutes the practice of "Fractional Reserve Banking" whereby our benevolent bankster friends are allowed to "loan" money that they don't have (X 10).
It's a very effective way to help the little guy lose his wealth through perpetual debt and inflation.

You know...I am pissed at the government and I am pissed at the banks, but in the end...who signed and who chose not to educate themselves on their mortgage? And who chose? We live in America. Freedom of Choice. Freedom to ***** up.
I want, like anyone else to see a lot of people get hurt for this crisis...but in the end, the only person who i can attack happens to be my neighbor. My greedy neighbor who signed a mortgage without educating them self...
