- inactive, on 01/01/2008, -26/+315Olbermann for president.
I love this guy.
So damn articulate. - grcore, on 01/01/2008, -14/+221I am glad to see someone in the media who is fed up with the hypocrisy...
- had3l, on 01/01/2008, -14/+191If it is Hilary vs. Giuliani, we might as well start our own country somewhere, because the USA is gonna be doomed.
- InfamousAtheist, on 01/01/2008, -10/+168Thanks for the sources! Each and every one of them is a blog, which, in case you haven't noticed, is a website which someone uses to voice their opinion. I found very few facts noted on the blogs you referenced... in face, the the link at thecablegame.blogspot.com listed pure hearsay as it's "source."
My favorite though, is www.olbermannwatch.com . Did you notice that they frequently link to THEIR OWN PAGES for reference? When they do actually link to an outside source... omfg guess what? It's another blog!
When people as for sources, they typically mean reputable, reliable sources which don't serve their own interests.
Thanks for the laughs though. Nice try. - perhapsimcrazy, on 01/01/2008, -17/+157Everytime this guy speaks, it makes me like him so much more.
- MadKennyP, on 01/01/2008, -8/+123Rudy Giuliani. He's some Republican presidential candidate who failed to provide working radios to the NYC firefighters.
- Trublmakr, on 01/01/2008, -7/+107America needs a lot more Olbermann's and a lot less JimmySpaza's.
- cherwilco, on 01/01/2008, -12/+88lol I just refreshed the page and saw EVERY comment on here in support of olberman get buried by 1 point. god I wish there was a way to see who does that crap
- inactive, on 01/01/2008, -8/+74Thanks for the service, Jimmy. It's hard to know who to trust in this world - the truth is rarely ever clear. Thank goodness I can count on you - whatever you say is always guaranteed to be the exact opposite of the truth. You just can't find consistency like that these days.
- savetheusa1, on 01/01/2008, -5/+70Rudy = road to fascism
- brstilson, on 01/01/2008, -6/+70Yes, and being right all depends on how popular you are.
- coltrane68, on 01/01/2008, -9/+64Thank you, Mr. Olbermann, for having the intestinal fortitude to articulate our collective disgust at the assertion that the Democratic party is less capable of managing national security.
Foreign policy and civil liberty are our best weapons against terrorism. Under President Clinton, the U.S. formed two true international alliances to win two highly just wars and liberate oppressed people (in Bosnia and Kosovo). Recall that one of the world's most evil bullies (Milosevic) was captured and tried under international law during this time with minimal loss of American lives. More importantly, the U.S. garnered the necessary international respect necessary to ensure cooperation and intelligence sharing.
Civil rights are just as important as weapons against terror. For the average citizen, terror succeeds when in convinces individuals to cede their constitutional rights to politicians promising security. For at-risk individuals, loss of civil rights is more dire. How many Easterners were harassed after 9/11, despite living the "American Dream"? Perhaps more importantly, how many people were arrested without warrant? How many enemy combatants (most of whom are truly horrible people, lest we seem soft) were subject to torture? Can we assume that our international partners are disgusted enough by this that they become reluctant to share data? Has this happened already?
Thanks again, Keith. Neither political party has the right to assert that it is the party of survival. - inactive, on 01/01/2008, -9/+64I'm glad Rudy is getting hell for his bad decisions. Money corrupts and he is no exception to the rule. To be honest, I'm surprised he hasn't been hit harder than this.
- TheSwashbuckler, on 01/01/2008, -4/+58Half of O'Reilly's audience will die in the next few years. Average age of an O'Reilly viewer is 71.
- sivsta, on 01/01/2008, -7/+53Giuliani is a rat
- amoirae, on 01/01/2008, -5/+51Mostly insane shills like JimmySpaza.
- Herostratus, on 01/01/2008, -18/+62Go Olberman. Next time I confront Giuliani this is what I will say. WE ARE CHANGE
- Mageling, on 01/01/2008, -4/+39He blamed the democrat majority congress for funding the war if I recall correctly.
- inactive, on 01/01/2008, -9/+44I was going to say the same- I'd do backflips if Olbermann ran for president. Not only is he articulate, he's funny as hell and smart too.
- pateo, on 01/01/2008, -19/+54Not a huge fan of Olberman, but he is dead on in this video.
- Synova, on 01/01/2008, -2/+33One of the few anchors left in the mass media not afraid to tell the truth.
- Wronghead, on 01/01/2008, -3/+31Sorry Rudy, but I believe Patrick Henry summed it up best when he said: "Give me liberty or give me death!"
The American people are weary of watching our freedoms disappear and your fear mongering does not impress us. - Kent4jmj, on 01/01/2008, -12/+38Olberman can be very good at times.
- Ratteler, on 01/01/2008, -2/+27"This is terrorism itself dressed as counter-terrorism. It is not warning, but bullying."
-We need T-shirts and bumper stickers with that on it. - omegaredIX, on 01/01/2008, -6/+30He shoots, he scores. Olbermann calls it like it is, lets just hope more people are actually listening to what he has to say.
- bsmang, on 01/01/2008, -0/+23You must've missed the point. He's not saying it's better to elect a democrat - he's saying "Mr. Giuliani, you are a *****". And he's right. Who can argue?
- smthop3, on 01/01/2008, -2/+25Hey Jimmy! What happened to James?
- bsmang, on 01/01/2008, -3/+25I think it's because digg is on average a little above the "general public" in IQ. And certainly higher than the average neoconservative.
- larrick, on 01/01/2008, -4/+25Olbermann has never claimed to be impartial. He does and has slammed DEMS. I may not always agree but he is RIGHT on this one and remember he is and has been for a while a New York guy. Most of them hated Giuliani on 9/10/01.
- wilywondr, on 01/01/2008, -1/+22Get some facts before you post BS demonstrating how uneducated you are. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Trade_Center_bo ...
"In 1997 and 1998, six Islamist extremists were convicted and sentenced to life in prison for their roles in the bombing."
Did you know you were lying when you said that or did you really not know they had been caught and convicted? I am starting to believe most cons are just dumb people that have been fooled into believing the BS that the right-wing spin machine churns out. - johnkalel, on 01/01/2008, -0/+21Actually, Olbermann has consistently hit the Democrats hard for their astounding timidity after having gained control of Congress.
see, for instance: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18831132/
As Dave Barry put it, "Upon taking power, the Democrats, who campaigned vigorously against the war in Iraq, and who hailed their victory as a clear voter mandate to get the troops out of Iraq, immediately get down to the business of being careful to not do anything that might actually result in the removal of troops from Iraq, in case that might turn out to be a bad idea." - breadfred, on 01/01/2008, -0/+20What a stupid immature unnecessary comment. Lets try this 'block' feature.
- notruthingod, on 01/01/2008, -0/+19He has bashed anyone and everyone that deserves it--from the the criminal republicans to the cowardly democrats.
- bsmang, on 01/01/2008, -1/+20So THAT's where your James account went.. I've wondered if that was the deal. And, to counter what you think (as usual) about digg auto-burying, it is YOU who automatically gets dugg down by diggers because they already know what your post will contain before they read it. So it's quick. It takes little thought.
- Neoanarchist, on 01/01/2008, -5/+23Agreed this was my first thought after watching many of his "Special Comments". Goodnight and goodluck. :)
I'm glad to see someone in a position with a global voice, talking with sense and intelligence as opposed to fear mongering and lies. - inactive, on 01/01/2008, -4/+22What does that mean? Why do you feel the need to call people names? I scanned through your comments, it seems you have nothing but insults to contribute to the dialogue. What's the point? i am sure you have something constructive or thought provoking to say, why are you afraid to say it? instead you hide behind your insults.....coward.
Jen - Schmapdi, on 01/01/2008, -5/+23"Keith Olberman Buries Rudy Giuliani with a Shovel" would be a much more exciting headline.
- VieRelative, on 01/01/2008, -1/+19And then 9/11 happened:
- Rights that used to be the cornerstone of American freedom were taken away.
- US Internal Politics changed from one based on domestic improvement to one based on fear mongering and militaristic expansion.
- US Foreign policies turned more openly imperialistic than ever before thereby swelling the ranks of anti-American terrorist organizations.
- US military actions as a response to the attack have caused more deaths of US citizens than terrorist attacks. Those same actions have caused many times more (10s to 100s of times more) deaths of innocent civilians.
- The US is less secure today than ever before.
We can't protect ourselves from terrorist attacks through war, we protect ourselves through judicious use of espionage and double agents. - Tangeuray, on 01/01/2008, -0/+17Nancy Pelosi has been bashed...
- ayeroxor, on 01/01/2008, -1/+18"I find it hard to believe that anyone who uses inflammatory language "
Inflammatory language = saying things you don't want to hear. So, in other words, you choose not to believe anything that contradicts your own beliefs. Well, gee, thanks for clearing that up. - seldon452, on 01/01/2008, -1/+18Uh, Olbermann constantly says the democrats do nothing. So, what are you talking to me about?
- SeethisPass, on 01/01/2008, -1/+17Did you possibly leave out a critical word leaving what you really meant unsaid?
Hint Olbermann is very honest. - MaTT2011, on 01/01/2008, -7/+22maximum pwnage
- Jlaugh, on 01/01/2008, -1/+16Those moderators must be a legion then, because there's no way a few people could monitor every thread on Digg.
- aclements, on 01/01/2008, -2/+17Wow, you linked to some of the most incomprehensible articles that I have seen. And one of your blog links is there only to link to another. And the video on AOL is the most poorly edited clip that I have seen in the last year.
- TheSwashbuckler, on 01/01/2008, -0/+15Honest answer: yes. He's bashed a number of Dems whose actions didn't match their rhetoric.
- Veni_Vidi_Vici, on 01/01/2008, -3/+17I'm not sure who I dislike more: Giuliani or Huckabee.
- inactive, on 01/01/2008, -2/+16Oh, the irony...
- myxyplik, on 01/01/2008, -0/+14Um, apparently you never saw the episode where Olbernann called out the Democratic Congress for their inepitude.
- MacSuxWindozSux, on 01/01/2008, -6/+20The new American fascism.
