- Synova, on 03/05/2009, -79/+1294Come on Digg... you expect me to believe anything from AnnCoulter.com!?
- Apokalyps2547, on 03/05/2009, -80/+1152The article never denies he went to Cornell. The SAME Cornell. Coulter just arbitrarily decides that some colleges at Cornell aren't Ivy-League and some are.
It doesn't work that way. Cornell's School of Arts and Sciences is an ivy-league school. So is their School of Engineering and their School of Hotel Administration and their College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Why? IT'S ALL CORNELL. - C0ntraRadical, on 03/05/2009, -50/+795Ann Coulter is such a handsome gentleman.
- tmyprod, on 03/05/2009, -41/+657You all do realize that Ann Coulter is 4chan in human form?
She tries to say the most offensive thing possible to get people to talk about her.
Don't feed the trolls. - merky1, on 03/05/2009, -69/+442As John Stewart put it, "You people are hurting America."
- MillionsLivio, on 03/05/2009, -24/+375Anncoulter.com... this is a new low for Digg.
- vrec, on 03/05/2009, -64/+384And Ann Coulter is not? This woman is a raving nutcase, a really dangerous one!
- inactive, on 03/05/2009, -33/+349LOL Ann Coulter.
Buried. - chourobin, on 03/05/2009, -32/+340http://www.cals.cornell.edu/
This isn't Cornell? Dont believe a shred of Ann Coulter... shes spitting out ***** from her mega-sized anus.
Anyone that goes to a university knows they separate the colleges.
complete listing of colleges: http://www.cornell.edu/academics/colleges.cfm
besides, engineering majors > liberal arts - wreckosaurus, on 03/05/2009, -21/+311Don't click the link, it goes to some tranny's webpage.
- dygel, on 03/05/2009, -10/+297The Ivy League is an athletic division. Given that it was created for these smaller private schools, it's been granted a high degree of context, connotations about excellence in academics. Cornell is a part of this. Not a particular school of Cornell, the whole university. So, yes, the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences is part of Cornell proper.
Furthermore, yes, it is a statutory college but it is run by Cornell, not the state of New York.
Furthermore, degrees from the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences are Bachelor of Science degrees. Coulter's ENTIRE point about only the College of Arts and Sciences granting a Bachelor of the Arts is a distraction and completely irrelevant.
In other words, Ann Coulter doesn't know what she's talking about. She's full of venom and I really cannot believe we're paying attention to her unfounded diatribes. Seriously, shame on you fools who submitted this or dugg it. - Snoods, on 03/05/2009, -30/+292I saw the link before I clicked and realized I would not like to contribute to the traffic visiting Ann Coulters website.
- ARTLUKM, on 03/05/2009, -42/+233And all this time I thought Ann Coulter was a fan of Olberman.
/s
Anyway, pot, meet kettle. - waydee, on 03/05/2009, -41/+228Don't know who he is, I am aware of Ann Coulter though and know she's a ***** excuse for a human so I'll just click bury.
- kg37, on 03/05/2009, -4/+183I went to Cornell. The College of Arts and Sciences and College of Ag and Life Sciences are practically indistinguishable as far as the college experience is concerned. In fact, the biological sciences courses and department were shared between the two schools. My dormmates were from all of the different schools at Cornell. What Ann Coulter does not mention is that SHE went to Cornell too. I think she is just jealous of the popularity KO has garnered recently and she wants to knock him down a peg, no matter how desperate it seems. Ann Coulter, shove it!
- teamgwho, on 03/05/2009, -33/+210I don't know... lying about being a woman hasn't stopped Anne Coulter from becoming a best selling author, talk show and news personality and all around douchebag.
I think Keith will get by just fine.
PS Not knowing the difference between the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence hardly qualifies as a teeny-tiny mistake. Then again, what do you expect from a group of rabid badgers who would gladly shred the constitution in a heartbeat? Do you expect them to actually know anything about that document? - dietch1, on 03/05/2009, -17/+193Not that love the guy, but here is the Cornell school paper referring to him as an alum. She could have at least Googled before opening her pie hole. http://www.news.cornell.edu/chronicle/98/6.4.98/co ...
- UncleScubba, on 03/05/2009, -36/+1921) Nice Adam's apple, Mann...er, I mean "Ann"
2) Nice job, poster, spelling "Olbermann" in your headline (ah, but misguided wingnut seething apparently interferes with spelling)... - amauldin71, on 03/05/2009, -33/+182Apparently this is the comments section where all the right-wing Diggers go to hang out.
- seanstuart, on 03/05/2009, -17/+149Ann Coulter is calling someone a fraud.
- Fafnir43, on 03/05/2009, -25/+157Show me a source other than Ann Coulter and I might actually read the article before burying it as inaccurate. As it stands, I see no reason to consider this as anything other than the rantings of a lunatic.
- tmyprod, on 03/05/2009, -49/+165Douches are sometimes necessary to clean the ***** out.
- Nyaos, on 03/05/2009, -55/+169Less of a douche then Bill O' Reilly, Ann Coulter, and Rush Limbaugh.
- ZeroSum1975, on 03/05/2009, -17/+126These Neo-Cons are waking up at the crack of dawn when people are sleeping to sneak in these Neo-Con stories so they can bask in the glow of having their submission be on Digg's front page for 7 minutes. You guys are troopers! But I guess this makes their irrelevance so plain to see because they need to organize a fringe group to game digg.com and not let it work on its own. So sad...
- masterofgrond, on 03/05/2009, -5/+113I'm an engineering student at Cornell right now, and I take offense at her nonsense. Despite offering the strongest overall engineering program in the Ivy League, the College of Engineering isn't Ivy League? That's ridiculous. Acceptance rates aren't everything. Caltech has a higher acceptance rate than Cornell's College of Arts and Sciences too, but does that mean it's not an elite school? Hell no.
- Elohir, on 03/05/2009, -17/+119Wow. Ann Coulter? Really?
- Alex3917, on 03/05/2009, -11/+107CALS (College of Agriculture and Life Sciences) is indeed part of Cornell University. And it's not a public college. It's a contract college, meaning Cornell owns and operates it privately but they admit a certain number of New York residents each year under contract in exchange for state funding.
Also, the scope of CALS is extremely broad. The Applied Economics and Management program (ranked #4 undergrad business program in the country) is part of CALS, because business is considered a life science. Academically, the only difference between CALS and the college of Arts & Sciences is that CALS students have to take a couple extra science classes instead of a foreign language. - NorrisOBE, on 03/05/2009, -18/+111Holy *****, what's with the anti-Obama/anti-Dem articles popping up since the last 24 hours?
- idontlikeyou2, on 03/05/2009, -22/+108My goodness, this is one big pile of crap ....
- chourobin, on 03/05/2009, -16/+101so according to this article, If i went to the school of engineering at cornell, I really didn't go to cornell because its not the college of arts and sciences?
Ann Coulter is an anus. - postal21, on 03/05/2009, -19/+967am is the only time this kinda ***** gets on the front page... soon it will be buried.
- evodevo1, on 03/05/2009, -18/+94Wow, an anti-Olberman piece making it to the front page of digg? Do I see some Bose-Einstein condensate forming in hell today?
- macgiants, on 03/05/2009, -21/+97Wow... ad hominem much?
- sgtstumpy, on 03/05/2009, -18/+92One thing I've noticed is that conservatives always attack and never back up what they say. Olberman has clips and videos to back up what he says and generally throws their own rhetoric back at them. Vastly more talent involved than conservatives who make up facts as they go along. Good on you Keith.
- donsnyc, on 03/05/2009, -22/+92Ann Coulter is a human excrement that is pretending to write.
- therealdoug, on 10/08/2009, -4/+73So I guess my BS in Biological Engineering with a concentration in Neurobiology is only good for farming since I went to the Ag School.
It's true that the Communications major is kind of like our version of "rocks for jocks" (for the most part), but to lump the entire Ag School together? Half of our classes are shared with either the Arts and Sciences school or the Engineering School.
Hey Ann, you're not a sieve; you're a funnel! You're not a funnel; you're a vacuum! You're not a vacuum; you're a black hole! You're not a black hole; YOU JUST SUCK!
(CU hockey fans will understand) - altgeeky1, on 03/05/2009, -8/+76He said they're all Cornell. You're saying wrong to that. I'm sorry, but he's right and you are wrong.
Tacking on a statement about admissions levels being different at each branch of the university is, well, irrelevant, changing nothing regarding the truth of the basic statement. - Arothlink, on 03/05/2009, -30/+98Seriously, Ann Coulter?
I know Olberman is as much a self serving blow hard as Bill-O but Ann Coulter is such a useless haggered gargoyle it's laughable that when she yaps people listen.
All these arseholes need to choke and shuffle off this mortal coil. Olberman, O'Reilly, Hannity, Beck, Limbaugh, Coulter, Maddow and the rest are dumbing down an already dimwitted nation.
It's sad when Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart are the most respectable "news" reporters on TV.
Buried. - Entroper, on 03/05/2009, -2/+64Her acceptance rates are complete hogwash anyway. From the, uh, "article":
"The real Cornell, the School of Arts and Sciences (average SAT: 1,325; acceptance rate: 1 in 6 applicants), is the only Ivy League school at Cornell and the only one that grants a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Keith went to an affiliated state college at Cornell, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (average SAT: about that of pulling guards at the University of South Carolina; acceptance rate: 1 of every 1.01 applicants). "
But a quick check of Cornell's ACTUAL acceptance rates reveals that 4697 applied to the CALS, and only 1028 were accepted. So 1 in 6 makes you an elite Ivy League school, and 1 in 5 makes you completely worthless. Well, I'm glad we have Ann Coulter here to define these arbitrary bounds for us, how else would I ever know which talking heads have the right opinions? - firesphotons, on 03/05/2009, -18/+77Ann Coulter is an idiot..... Keith might not be everyone's "cup of tea" but he backs up his vitriol with facts, we all know facts are kryptonite to Ann. A University extension program still yields the logo, branding and metrics agreed upon by the matriculating University Annie, even if the graduate never stepped on the main campus.
- whoatemytuna, on 03/05/2009, -8/+65Admissions standards are irrelevant, ivy league is ivy league. The ivy league is not an academic standard, the ivy league is an athletic league. There are 8 schools in the league of which Cornell is one. If you go to Cornell, then you went to an ivy league school.
- SuperCow1127, on 03/05/2009, -5/+60Indeed. I don't often bury stories, but the URL from that one was quite enough to make me.
- Ratteler, on 03/05/2009, -12/+67The Neo-ConArtists, have decided that "rabid leftists" using "underground" communication like Digg and other social networks are the reason they lost the election.
So they've begun rallying their acolytes to come here and bury the truth as hard as their stubby little fingers will let them.
Digg has survived it before. M$ has attacked these forums with the "Windows Vista is good" lie, and buried all decent.
Digg will eventually figure it's being gamed again, and fix the algorithm.
Until them we just have to weather the Neo-ConArtist storm.
Even treacherous lairs have the right to free speech. - obreaslan, on 03/05/2009, -16/+69That thumbnail looks like a mugshot. Isn't she under investigation in Florida & Connecticut for voter fraud?
- Royal0rleans, on 03/05/2009, -11/+63Yeah, but you get the same degree. My cousin did the CALS program and now he's CFO of some financial company in Seattle. He would say that some students discriminate against CALS people, but really--it's the same degree.
- Apokalyps2547, on 03/05/2009, -4/+54I attend a school where a = a, as in Cornell = Cornell.
I fail to see why you asked where I graduated from, since I made no claims about my education. Red herrings are for the weak-of-argument. - enantiodromia, on 03/05/2009, -13/+63damn, she should tell cornell.edu, which lists him as a graduate.
now he was admitted when he was 16 iirc. what was anne coulter doing when she was 16? - aechase, on 03/05/2009, -3/+51But Cornell doesn't even offer Communications as a major!
Oh, wait. http://www.comm.cornell.edu/ - oakley7247, on 03/05/2009, -36/+83Attach the argument, not the person. Your personal opinions of Ann Coulter have nothing to do with the the fact that Olberman is a lying sack.
- WhiskeyWrites, on 03/05/2009, -5/+52That is just gross... There should never be ***** there.
