Why are we even giving all this money out to the very corporate elites that destroyed the free market with their good ol boy's club. I say we let them perish into the debt hole and sell their assets on to new owners that know how to make a profit without help from the government.
The entire communications industry need a massive shake up. It might take some time to sort out and return to current levels of service but we would all be better off in the long run.

A sock puppet isn't when some industry "hires" someone to mouth a position- that's better described as a hired gun, PR flack...
A sock puppet would be if you picked an alias (say Aaron Craig) and responded to your post... typically with praise and whatnot or to try to shout down critics, trolls, posters, etc. THAT is a sock puppet.

- AManWithNoName, on 01/08/2009, -1/+1I made a sock puppet when I was in 1st grade, and I'm appalled to hear this kind of discrimination. Jimmy was a great sock puppet. He had a sock family, with a sockwife and two sockbabies (With one in the sockoven). Sure, on occasion, he'd have to sock someone for being a dumbass, but overall, he was a wonderful sock puppet and I wouldn't trade him for the world.
