- theironwok, on 10/10/2007, -37/+437About. *****. Time.
- BelXul, on 10/10/2007, -19/+382Why now? Oh, that's right. Congress is on vacation, and there's the very real prospect that upon their return he'll have to face a panel of irate Representatives. He was subpoenaed already, and they just might make him answer their questions. Scary.
- plbland, on 10/10/2007, -40/+341***** You, Karl Rove
- Unsomnambulist, on 10/10/2007, -12/+310Unfortunately, this may be less about damage control than freeing Rove to get behind another Republican candidate's run for office.
- LilRabbitFooFoo, on 08/11/2008, -25/+221One scumbag down...
Too many more to go... - fancypantscz, on 10/10/2007, -22/+207Rove did huge damage to our federal government by making key policy decisions based wholly on political considerations. His win at all costs political strategies gave his party more control than was healthy for the nation and the precedence he set for utterly deprave, vicious, and damaging campaign practices make the future of American democracy look bleak indeed. The massive failures of the Bush presidency (many of which we are only beginning to understand) are a direct result of power hungry men winning office and placing the interests of their party before the good of the nation at every opportunity.
The primary purpose of any administration should be the exercise of good governance and stewardship of the democracy that we the people built. The Bush administration under the direction of Rove was primarily concerned with entrenching his party in positions of power much to the detriment of our highest held democratic principals.
Rove deserves to live the rest of his life suffering the most severe forms pubic shame for the potentially irreparable damage he has done to our nation. - aslave2thegrind, on 10/10/2007, -29/+205And the turd blossom has finally wilted...
- nonymous666, on 10/10/2007, -17/+135Too little, too late.
- felman87, on 10/10/2007, -10/+99Is it just me, or does the world seem just a tad bit brighter
- ReturnToFreedom, on 10/10/2007, -15/+102Fools. You are all fools for celebrating. He is only doing this because they want to minimize the chance that he'll have to testify before Congress. They know that if this happens they are all *****. They are afraid that a lot of secrets will be leaked in the future and they will have broken the law if they testify and lie. It's my opinion that this is why Bush is keeping people from testifying.
- 0zzy, on 10/10/2007, -13/+84I LOVE how he is resigning so he can "spend time with the family." I'm sure that's why he is stepping down... :-|
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -30/+97SUCK MY BALLS ROVE!
- ZaZen, on 10/10/2007, -15/+77As happy as I am that he's resigning I know there is no way he will face anything for all the crap he's done and if he does nothing will come of it. Having said that I can pray that the bastard gets his due.
- cyberdork, on 10/10/2007, -9/+65It's way to late into the second Bush term to get enthusiatic about his resignation. He did his deeds over the past 7 years and now will go into the private sector and earn hundreds of millions of dollars. So don't think this is a big blow to him.
- The_Wallbanger, on 10/10/2007, -5/+51I doubt he's wilted. As much as I hate to admit it, chances are good that he's going to work on another GOP campaign for 2008.
- wholly2b, on 10/10/2007, -8/+51Cheney and Bush have been creepy and evil enough on their own lately that we'll be fine with out him. Thanks for your concern though.
- miketrin, on 10/10/2007, -10/+52don't worry p51, it's people like you that don't care what bush and his losers are doing to the country. It's people like you that think it's okay to give up some freedoms for safety, it's people like you that think it's patriotic to support your commander in chief, even when he is wrong, even when it's a bill called the patriot act, without reading the bill, just blind support for blind leaders. We wont be happy until people like you get a ***** clue and either leave the USA or realize you are being duped. If I were you I'd head over to the LGF website you'll be welcome there with open arms. Digg shouldn't be your home.
- felman87, on 10/10/2007, -1/+40You can subpoena people whether they're inside the white house or not. Just look at Harriet Myers (she left at the beginning of 07)
- miyamotofreak, on 10/10/2007, -10/+48He's still a phone call away. In fact now with less of a spotlight on him he's more dangerous than ever.
- bitcloud, on 10/10/2007, -7/+43you're just not understanding who he's talking about when he talks about "the family" capiche!
- frankidadio, on 10/10/2007, -5/+41OK .... to work on who's campaign....?
- greenback1, on 10/10/2007, -13/+49Great news. For the next act we want Cheney dragged out of the White House in handcuffs.
- nonymous666, on 10/10/2007, -6/+41$200.
- noahhoward, on 10/10/2007, -6/+40Katrina. Thanks for playing.
- OmarOmar, on 10/10/2007, -10/+43Lol, QUICK LOOK OVER THERE!
This isn't a distraction... - InetRoadkill, on 10/10/2007, -7/+37Maybe. But Rove didn't do this so suddenly unless he was pushed out by a brewing scandal or unless he has gotten a better offer, perhaps from one of the GOP front-runners.
I'm hoping that the congressional hearings have finally struck a nerve and that he's afraid he's going to get nailed. - greenback1, on 10/10/2007, -7/+36not likely. any candidate who publicly admits that Rove is managing his/her campaign is done. he simply will direct from behind the scenes. his resignation is to prevent an active white house chief adviser from sitting in front of senate hearing committee; it sort keeps a clean face for the white house
- SavageBlackCat, on 10/10/2007, -1/+29If the Congress was so irate they would have done something, anything, by now.
- CharliesRevenge, on 10/10/2007, -0/+27"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect."
-Mark Twain - wholly2b, on 10/10/2007, -6/+32When has the government moved to make us safe? Is THAT why we're in Iraq?
- greenback1, on 10/10/2007, -8/+34We're not done with you yet Karl!
- gingerbreadcat, on 10/10/2007, -2/+26After all the crimes and unethical things this administration is responsible for, your best defense is the "But but but... Clinton!" line. Cute!
- gl77, on 03/31/2008, -9/+33The inside scoop on why he's resigning is so he can give his full attention to his alter ego "Rappin' Rove".
PROFIT! - Nougat, on 10/10/2007, -1/+25Inflation.
- yunus, on 10/10/2007, -3/+26I would bet money this is a move to allow him to choose his next candidate and mold them to win the nomination. Ever see the West Wing (TV show), Karl Rove is the Republican version of Josh. Only much more evil.
- skanlessflipboy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+25Next up, Gonzo!
- felman87, on 10/10/2007, -5/+27Wrong, we voted for Gore in 2000.
- Jmuduke, on 10/10/2007, -21/+42This isn't enough, he should be criminally charged for treason against the United States.
- wholly2b, on 10/10/2007, -4/+22Considering the majority of the American people disapproves of the job the Bush administration is doing, it's nice to know that Rove considers the American people "the mob". Made me feel all warm and fuzzy.
- Aokubidaikon, on 10/10/2007, -8/+26Really. I consider myself a right winger but I do hope you Americans will vote for a democrat at the next elections.
There's nothing worse and humiliating than being lied to and being cheated by your own government. - DoMifer, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20That's like saying, "You'd bitch in sub-zero temperature that you were cold. Then if I threw you in a pot of boiling water, you'd be too hot."
- shorn, on 10/10/2007, -1/+18Bin Laden is still alive. How long has your commander-in-your-ass been in charge? Too busy converting the best nation on earth in to the worst taking up too much of his time to deal with him? What?
Oh, and we were at war when those other presidents did those things. - Swoyer, on 10/10/2007, -3/+20Now Karl has more time to do some of his favorite pastimes, such as killing doves
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+17BUT THERE ARE NO SUBJECT VERB AGREEMENT
- ubuntuedgy, on 10/10/2007, -9/+26Too little, too late. The damage is done.
- JasonCox, on 10/10/2007, -7/+23*crosses fingers*
Come-on Cheney! Step right up and be the next to resign! - Lagstorm, on 10/10/2007, -3/+19Dugg for ownage! Its amazing how quickly memory fades for some people huh?
- DangerCollie, on 10/10/2007, -8/+24If he really wanted to do something for his family he'd choke on his lunch.
- Anthracene, on 10/10/2007, -12/+27Bush is definitely in trouble now with the brain drain...
- NinjaBoy, on 10/10/2007, -2/+17I always thought it would be funny for someone to say their real reason "Cause im in deep ***** *****"
