Pray for these false christians. They don't know love, so how could they know God? Jesus didn't die on the cross so we could continue to murder (hate in the heart is murders equivalent), but that we could point out to people the love in His sacrifice, the love that forgives, wether the sin be homosexuality, self richeousness and hate (in their case) or hypocrisy or any thing of the sort. I hope some people, including gay people, read this response, because you should know that you are loved deeply by my God, who is in heaven, Jesus Christ, and although they say that that is their God, they lie to you. It is obvious they worship a much different God than I know- and I know Jesus very well.
This is my advice to you readers, gay, straight, American, a soldier or a politician...
Do not let the sin of the soul, the mind and the heart- which is within you as it is within others- that others may judge wrongfully and that others may refuse to admit their mistakes- work to seperate you from the creator God who in of Himself is perfect in love and pours it out willingly on all who turn to Him to seek salvation. Admit that it hurts to be wrong and He will comfort you! And then He will bless you!
Do not be surprised that the world hates you, for God has been hated first. He walked the grounds of his own creation, but was not reconized- He came to bring peace- as well as fire, but fire because those He burned were weeds- corrupt and unwilling. Do not be unwilling to find blessings, to find happiness.
Do not let sin overwhelm you with pain preventing God from finding residence in your heart. Find peace in the forgiveness God offers that He can lift the burden.
Be as one, and obey the new command 'love one another' and 'forgive one another' and 'pray for thine enemies and love thine enemies'- these are christian principles. This is part of the cure for the defecit in humanity- the lack of togetherness and willingness to help, to understand and to be for the bettermant of people, not for their downfall. It is the part of the cure that cures dieseases, physical emotion and spiritual- so be part of the cure- not part of the disease- be more willing to listen to this- then to the part of you that wants to forget this message, that wants to fight all of christianity b/c of this incident, or the part that lies and says, 'I can't do a thing.', or the other part that lies, 'God does not care about me.'
Again, pray for those christians, and that God will take down there site full of Satan, 'god hates fags.com'...because God cannot sin, and hate is murder and murder is a sin. If they had read the bible with open eyes, so to speak, they would have seen that. Also pray that the select members of the gay community that have been hurt by this type of abuse of religion does not lash out at God because they think that it is Him behind those peoples actions when it is really Lucifer, yes, we have said and will say homosexuality is a sin, but not without saying that we have been sinners too, To God (where we are all equally humbled, at the foot of the cross, and to others to show them we have truly found forgiveness for our inabilities as well)- this is a christian statement, the Baptist church in Kansas' statement is only a statement of hate.
If anyone wishes to fight things like this, misuse of scripture, abuse of God's word and of humanity. Alexandra - DesertFish, on 11/01/2007, -0/+0Phelps is hardly a Christian...at least, that's what his actions are showing. i don't know his heart, but I know his actions are contrary to Scripture. I Corinthians 13 states that Charity (love in action) hopes for the best (not the worst), and this is something that Phelps and his clan are certainly not doing. Perhaos this is the beginning of God's Judgement on hime for his actions and his ilk....
