Jon Stewart rips the media and McCain
thedailyshow.com — John McCain thanks the Hilton family for their support. Now if you'll excuse him, he's got to take a nationally televised dump on their daughter.

- MOJIRA, on 08/01/2008, -13/+395This is one of the best Daily Show segments I've ever seen. Not because it's funny, but because it makes such a valid point so effortlessly.
- QuadZeroRoute, on 08/02/2008, -101/+10Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwn. More anti Republican material from socialists and liberals.
- macweirdo42, on 08/02/2008, -3/+62Oh yes, pointing out a candidate's hypocrisy and the stupidity of the media is so specifically anti-Republican.
- QuadZeroRoute, on 08/02/2008, -50/+5So for $4,600 you expect McCain to sell out his campaign and not call out Obama for being as useful a human being as Paris Hilton? That would be doing Paris Hilton's family favors for $4,600. Now where did I put those images of Obama with the word slut on his forehead?
- zephyr42, on 08/02/2008, -2/+19@QuadZeroRoute: McCain't supporters like you make me /facepalm
- Bawbzilla, on 08/02/2008, -2/+9QuadZeroRoute: Are you 14? What world do you come from where everyone who disagrees with you is automatically a socialist or liberal, and calling the opponent a worthless human being while touting the fact you think McCain will nuke the middle east (as a good thing) is a good way to approach debate?
Because, that is seriously how I acted when I was young and got into political debates on the internet. Maybe I matured much faster than yourself and you're still stuck at that young teen stage, though. - yodaj007, on 08/03/2008, -2/+6It's been three minutes, and I still have no ***** idea what QuadZeroRoute was trying to say.
- CryRightardCry, on 08/04/2008, -1/+4Whaaaaaaaaaa, I'm one of the cowardly warmongering rightards who has supported everything Bush did!
Please don't remind us of what unpatriotic scum we are!
Just let us lie and cheat and steal, but don't expect us to be responsible for our actions or words!
Whaaaaaaaaaa! I'm so ***** stupid and unethical I don't even care!
It's hard to believe qzr, but you sound even more pathetic and cowardly every day.
Do you behave this way because it's the only way for you to feel like people notice you?
- JettaMan, on 08/02/2008, -72/+9John Stewart, a Progressive mouthpiece for the Democratic Party, is ripping into McCain?! Wow! What a headline! This must be the shocker of the century. I thought he would be ripping on his Progressive buddy, Obama.
- cramtod, on 08/02/2008, -3/+52Stewart rips into anyone who is deserving. McCain and the Republican party is just giving him more material.
- JettaMan, on 08/02/2008, -46/+3Wow cramtod, you sure drank the Koolaid.
- macweirdo42, on 08/02/2008, -3/+33How could he, JettaMan, when it sounds like you finished off the pitcher?
- 5urr3al5am, on 08/02/2008, -34/+3really? dig up ONE video where Stewart 'rips into' O'Bama.. the guy is an unjust pussy. The only losers that like him are on digg
- NightVortez, on 08/02/2008, -27/+5Don't be ridiculous, ever since the election started both the Daily Show and the Colbert Report became nothing but Obama propaganda machines, too bad considering I've loved both shows, but come on, the FISA bill was never even brought up and most of their segments now are just about how great Obama is and how the media has bias against him, even though everyone but Fox News are drooling over his every word. Quite annoying when I honestly couldn't care less about either candidate and am just looking for entertainment without having the hosts baseless political view shoved down my throat.
- LunaticFringe, on 08/02/2008, -1/+18@5urr3al5am: When Obama did the presidential seal thing, he caught sarchasm and criticism from The Daily Show.
The whole point of Obama's campaign direction has been to be as non-aggressive as possible. Clinton tried to attack him, and it backfired. McCain should've learned that, but he's attacking vigorously to the same results. - whodoes, on 08/02/2008, -0/+3so... he got something WRONG ?
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 08/02/2008, -6/+5@NightVortez: Saying things does not make them true. Obama has caught far and away more NEGATIVE attention from all of the media in the past months.
Turns out talking ***** about the guy who is clearly the better the better candidate gets better ratings than talking about his lead all the time. - NightVortez, on 08/02/2008, -3/+3Yeah, only see, shouldn't it be for the voters to decide who the "better candidate" is rather than news networks? Bias is bad unless it's against a candidate who I dont' support? He's hardly gotten any negative attention from anything but Fox, the rest are following him wherever he goes and making constant updates. Perhaps watching just the Daily Show it would seem like everyone is out to get Obama because they air the same footage over again of some Fox anchor using his middle name, but watch a day of CNN, or MSNBC and tell me there is more negative attention than anything.
- TurdZilla, on 08/02/2008, -3/+17Yes!!!! Some of the so called news organizations need to check them self's. If the Daily Show is calling out stuff that is sooooo obvious and its a comedy show, Why the news organizations getting things so wrong.
- Aokubidaikon, on 08/02/2008, -6/+9And some people need to check their spel ling's.
- Shiftyeyedgoat, on 08/02/2008, -7/+3That's just it; it's a comedy show. They distort and twist much of the media they receive in order to make it funny.
This is fine in practice, but becomes a frightening prospect when the audience believes the comedy is infallible truth. - hatdrop, on 08/03/2008, -2/+3as opposed to the rest of the nation taking the "news" organizations as infallible truth?
maybe you should check out stewart v. tucker carlson. they're a comedy show, they don't have a responsibility to report the news, yet what they're passing off which is merely entertainment is far more closer to reality than what the news organizations are putting out, who are the ones that really have a responsibility.
cnn, msnbc, fox news...they're all garbage.
- ACrazyGerman, on 08/02/2008, -3/+5http://www.hulu.com/watch/28859/the-daily-show-wit ...
- 1337chic, on 08/02/2008, -0/+9Come on now, if the media didn't blatantly lie and make up truths what would they have to cover in the coming months? . . . "In the news, Obama is still waaaaaay in the lead in the presidential race and um, now a commercial break because there isn't much else to talk about"
- MajorLeague, on 08/02/2008, -6/+5"Obama is still waaaaaay in the lead in the presidential race"
No he's not. - alaskanassassin, on 08/02/2008, -6/+4really? because they are in a tie +/- 1-2 points from every recent poll I have seen. I know Obamabots dont wanna hear it or admit it.
- MajorLeague, on 08/02/2008, -6/+5"Obama is still waaaaaay in the lead in the presidential race"
- ummagummas08, on 08/03/2008, -1/+2I felt the exact same way. Best Daily Show segment EVER.
- QuadZeroRoute, on 08/02/2008, -101/+10Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwn. More anti Republican material from socialists and liberals.
- OurFuture, on 08/01/2008, -19/+165I completely concur with Mojira. We're lucky to have Stewart & Co to call out McCain and the MSM. This segment deserves lots of attention.
- QuadZeroRoute, on 08/02/2008, -49/+6Yea this deserves a lot of attention because Obama sucks, Britney sucks and...what was the other white trash whores name, oh yea Paris sucks.
- Stavrosian, on 08/02/2008, -2/+23I love how people this stupid still get to vote. Yay democracy.
- iamjboyd, on 08/02/2008, -1/+4well, its better than the alternative, you know having those pundits be the only ones who can vote...
- mateo60, on 08/02/2008, -0/+17The editorial cartoons in the newspaper have always been able to be more truthful than the front page. Just like how The Daily Show often has more truth than what we see in the MSM.
- jayobear, on 08/02/2008, -4/+1*Stewart and Co-lbert
- CColtManM, on 08/02/2008, -0/+7Then you should have replied to his thread.
- Vincent21212, on 08/02/2008, -1/+2Lets not play ignorance and forget the fact that The Daily Show lauded McCain as the great white hope for the GOP, and a sharp contrast to the Bush administration. He's been a guest numerous times on the show and interviewed in a good light. Granted, he may have changed his positions a bit since then, but not drastically.
It's only until campaigning began last year that The Daily Show turned on him. I know I'm not the only hardcore D Show watcher who remembers this.
McCain's popularity got somewhat of a Daily Show bump, if you ask me.
Lets be objective here people, and not just the other side of the spectrum of media manipulation.- yodaj007, on 08/03/2008, -1/+1Vincent: ... or perhaps it's because the jokes are more convenient in certain situations?
- QuadZeroRoute, on 08/02/2008, -49/+6Yea this deserves a lot of attention because Obama sucks, Britney sucks and...what was the other white trash whores name, oh yea Paris sucks.
- niccha, on 08/01/2008, -11/+232Excellent. Lucid. As always... the fake news is more informative than the real news. It's like when alternatve music became mainstream, but they still had to call it "alternative."
- mattrh, on 08/02/2008, -1/+10But i thought the Daily show was real news, and everything else was fake. I'm confused.
- StarlessKnight, on 08/02/2008, -3/+7Daily Show has never been a Real News show; it has, however, reported on a number of real news topics that Real News shows have failed to discuss/report in any meaningful manner.
The Daily Show remains a comedy show for those out there that think otherwise or expect other people to be thinking otherwise.
- StarlessKnight, on 08/02/2008, -3/+7Daily Show has never been a Real News show; it has, however, reported on a number of real news topics that Real News shows have failed to discuss/report in any meaningful manner.
- rigorious, on 08/03/2008, -0/+1It's so true. Sadly enough comedy shows are in many ways more able to push forward concerns, and they also have enough resources to make an impressive point.
- jkahrs595, on 08/03/2008, -2/+1yeah, except alternative music sucks.
- mattrh, on 08/02/2008, -1/+10But i thought the Daily show was real news, and everything else was fake. I'm confused.
- forgo, on 08/01/2008, -9/+132Funny AND informative.
I had to replay the part that starts at 8 minutes a few times. It's too funny. That smile from McCain is so awkward.- drspanklebum, on 08/02/2008, -1/+13WE'RE GONNA HUNT THEM DOWN LIKE THE DOGS THAT THEY ARE AND DESTROY THEM*awkwardsmile*
- TurdZilla, on 08/02/2008, -0/+25Its like he farted and wondered if anyone else smelled it.
- VitriolAndAngst, on 08/02/2008, -1/+24That was right after he said; "We are going to follow Osama Bin Laden to the gates of Hell" and then realized that he had to remember not to scare the kiddies -- so he forced his face into that grimace I last saw on the Grinch.
- GassyTurd, on 08/02/2008, -0/+4The Grinch...hmmm.... that is a perfect nickname for him. Nice.
- Cuchanu, on 08/02/2008, -0/+8what the ***** was up with that? That was worse than the green monster speech smiles. Who does he think he is fooling?
- coreoption, on 08/03/2008, -0/+1I thought he was having a stroke.

- tcbishop12, on 08/01/2008, -3/+34That's because McCain knows hell has better strip clubs.
- elarson, on 08/02/2008, -3/+25Yes, Stewart did say that on the show.
- zerozidane, on 08/02/2008, -11/+4*insert witty, original comment about how this quote was in the video*
- jodimcmullen, on 08/01/2008, -7/+87Great video, I heart John Stewart. Can't go to Pakistan because it's a sovereign nation, but will chase Osama to hell... priceless.
- onyxcoltrane, on 08/01/2008, -1/+91Wasn't Iraq a sovereign nation?
- macweirdo42, on 08/02/2008, -1/+52Yeah, but that was okay, because Osama wasn't in Iraq. We can go after Osama, we can trash sovereign nations, we just can't do both at the same time.
- VitriolAndAngst, on 08/02/2008, -0/+4If it were only a little shorter -- that would be my next bumper sticker.

- relic180, on 08/02/2008, -4/+15So what are you saying, you don't get it?
But seriously. McCain is a piece of ***** and he'll ***** both you and me over without giving it a second thought. He has corporate masters to appease, ya know.- Breticus07, on 08/02/2008, -1/+3and you think Obama wouldn't? come on, they're all "politicians" I don't really trust any of them to tell you the truth
- alaskanassassin, on 08/02/2008, -3/+1on digg, obama is not a politician but is the next coming of Jesus.
- relic180, on 08/03/2008, -0/+3I know it's not apparent in my post, but I constantly refer to dems and repubs as the one party system. Obama's hand are plenty dirty and he would also ***** both me and abby over without giving it a second thought.
Of course, abby didn't mention Obama so my reply didn't reference him either. - Breticus07, on 08/03/2008, -1/+2oh well sorry, you said mccain was bad and the article was about mccain bashing obama so thats where I got it from
- Sludgehammer, on 08/02/2008, -4/+8Thanks abby11, your incredible name-calling powers have infinitely enriched this discussion. Ooh... Call him a Republicunt next, that'll truly let your amazing wit shine!
- alaskanassassin, on 08/03/2008, -0/+1needz moar punz!!!
- mf0thrilla, on 08/02/2008, -0/+2...well if McCain DOES get elected, he will be Dick of the Year for 4 years.
- relic180, on 08/02/2008, -4/+15So what are you saying, you don't get it?
- relic180, on 08/02/2008, -48/+13I'm not saying that McCain has a single redeeming quality or anything, but seriously, why does the Daily Show expose all the ***** McCain does, but never say anything bad about Obama?
I love Stewart and Colbert, but I wish they'd ditch the bias. It undermines the good they do by existing.- greenfyre, on 08/02/2008, -1/+42You clearly missed Stewart showing Obama making the same dumb ass speech as Bush about oil prices ... not exactly high praise to be shown to be the same as Bush
- funkymoose, on 08/02/2008, -18/+1so a few times equals the same amount of bias?
- pseudononymist, on 08/02/2008, -1/+17maybe Obma just ***** up less than McCain? Could that be possible?
- macweirdo42, on 08/02/2008, -1/+11@funkymoose
If you paid attention, you'd notice that he never once said that any of the accusations about Obama are wrong. He simply pointed out that they're true for McCain, as well. How is saying "McCain is just as bad" being pro-Obama?
- Bith8654, on 08/02/2008, -7/+44Maybe it's because Obama doesn't ***** up as often?
- TheInformer, on 08/02/2008, -18/+5According to Digg, Obama makes no mistakes, only McCain does (or Hillary or anyone else that opposes the Messiah). A quick check through the Digg archives will substantiate this.
- dnes, on 08/02/2008, -1/+3Every single Obama article has a comment saying that Obama is ***** hope and is going to screw things up that has +200 diggs...
- reastydirtstar, on 08/02/2008, -7/+3I have to agree with TheInformer, Bith. Doesn't ***** up as often?! Take a look around. Messiah is right. Not only is Jesus black, his name is Barack. Digg hippies can't get enough of him. Every digg article on McCain shoots to the top because it's bashing him. Every digg article on Obama shoots to the top because of how oh so wonderful and perfect obama is.
- Phyraxus, on 08/02/2008, -0/+3Seriously? Since when is being a GOOD presidential candidate a bad thing?
- jotate, on 08/02/2008, -2/+17It's a comedy show. Stewart's said before that it's tough to rip on Obama because his fans are so biased in favor of Obama. With as much political bias that exists in legitimate media, I'm not upset by The Daily Show having some. At least they focus on pointing out and making fun of the bias that exists by outlets that are legitimately supposed to be balanced and neutral.
- TremorX, on 08/02/2008, -1/+15There was a clear and overbearing Pro-Hillary bias before she finally conceded, where they'd hammer Obama on nearly everything. Since the primaries ended, they've toned it down and gone after McCain more.
- lemonlimeblog, on 08/02/2008, -1/+18I agree that Obama doesn't ***** up as much and Jon has called him up on it when he does. Ultimately, McCain is dangerous and if I Jon, I'd be doing my best to expose McCain the way that MSM doesn't.
- macweirdo42, on 08/02/2008, -0/+18McCain's campaign has been a train wreck so far. What do you expect? Not that Obama's perfect or anything, and there's plenty on him to rip about, but McCain just keeps setting himself up to be an easy target.
- wisefool9, on 08/02/2008, -1/+23So your problem is that two comedy-based fictional news show aren't fair and balanced enough?
Seen Fox lately?- TheInformer, on 08/02/2008, -8/+2What other major news outlet is even close to being center of the road? CBS? MSNBC? NBC? CNN? ABC?
Oh please. - makeitloud, on 08/02/2008, -0/+8NPR. They might have a bit of a bias toward reality, but NPR's listeners are better-informed than people who watch cable or network news (take the PIPA study for example). If this clip from The Daily Show doesn't convince you that cable and network news shows are worthless, I don't know what will.
- wisefool9, on 08/02/2008, -0/+6Well you're missing the point, but yes all those stations are a lot closer to center than Fox. Fox is a fascist propaganda outlet, nothing more.
- TheInformer, on 08/02/2008, -8/+2What other major news outlet is even close to being center of the road? CBS? MSNBC? NBC? CNN? ABC?
- BotchaMcCoola, on 08/02/2008, -0/+7Bias - sounds as if you are making some kind of embarrassing admission. They are comedians. They go where the laughs are easiest to get.
- pimpofpixels, on 08/02/2008, -0/+10The daily show and colbert report are shows built on exposing the absurdities of the media.
In this case the absurdity was that the media at large has applied a unfair-double-standard against Obama.
Exactly how are they supposed to make jokes about McCain's side of that story? - EatingPaste, on 08/02/2008, -2/+1Well there is way more to things to make fun of John McCain for than Obama. But yeah the bias is running a little thin and to me it takes away from the show. I can't wait for this stupid ellection to be over. Oh and btw I'm not a Dem or Repub.
- fullphaser, on 08/02/2008, -1/+1Perhaps because the Daily Show is Biased? By admission no less?
- greenfyre, on 08/02/2008, -1/+42You clearly missed Stewart showing Obama making the same dumb ass speech as Bush about oil prices ... not exactly high praise to be shown to be the same as Bush
- brainboy77, on 08/02/2008, -2/+57the brian williams interview after this is hilarious.

- pseudononymist, on 08/02/2008, -1/+23Dude, I'm sorry to hear that. What did you find awkward about it? Their obviously ironic sniping at each other? Mr. Williams surprisingly sharp wit? Stewart acerbic yet hilarious retorts? The fact that these were a pair of intelligent people engaged in intelligent (some might say 'elitist'--see what I did there?) comedy? Really, I'm so sorry to hear of your unease. Perhaps I can help you get through this. Call me.

Oh wait... no it's NOT...- TheInformer, on 08/02/2008, -15/+5Funny how any comment which doesn't slather praise on Obama is consistently dugg down.
It's ok to make light hearted fun of people, isn't it? People digging you down shows an extremely thin skin.
I dugg you up for your comment.

- chester27, on 08/02/2008, -27/+4Question: How exactly does he insult either Paris Hilton or Britney Spears? They are simply the most well known celebrities, and Jon Stewart is simply comparing Obama to a celebrity.
It doesn't insult the Hiltons at all - unless, of course, they were unaware of their daughter's stardom?- Sansui, on 08/02/2008, -1/+24Don't play coy. The Hilton's know Paris's reputation as well as anyone, and it's why Paris got cut off from part of her inheritance a while back. Britney and Paris are notorious these days for their infamy, not true celebrity status.
There is no one, especially not the Hiltons, that are stupid enough to believe this is anything but a jab at their negative, almost desperate, social reputations. - Vermifax, on 08/02/2008, -1/+21A: McCain's ad implies that Britney, Paris & Obama are popular celebretis lacking any true substance. In the political sense, anyways.
The Hiltons helped paid for this stupid ad with their $4600 contribution to the McCain campaign.- p0s3r, on 08/02/2008, -12/+3Please explain what substance Paris has? What has she contributed to society that has caused her to skyrocket into celebrity status? While you're at it, do the same for Obama. The lists will be about the same size.
- dcmjzero, on 08/02/2008, -1/+17comparing a presidential candidate to people who lost custody of their kids, spent time in jail for drunk driving, made famous sex tapes, showed their genitals in public multiple times, and/or known for being stupid whores... perfectly fair comparison.

- steelersfan7roe, on 08/02/2008, -1/+20No. John McCain and the media are heroes of truthiness.
Stewart and Colbert are heroes of truth.
This makes the media and McCain better, of course, because truthiness comes without regard to evidence.
Stewart is still constrained by the small confines of "evidence." - TurdZilla, on 08/02/2008, -1/+13What funny is that Stewart is more qualified to be president than Mc Cain!

- dhVyse, on 08/02/2008, -21/+6I'd digg it, if it wasn't on the front page last night.. Why do people insist on submitting duplicates?

- MysticSavage, on 08/02/2008, -7/+15Who hasn't taken a nationally televised dump on Paris Hilton? Isn't her nickname 'Steamer"?
- Enzo33, on 08/02/2008, -26/+4Funny thing is, is that Paris is (in the words of Cedrick the Entertainer) is a grown ass woman with her own money and her own life and her own career and her own everything. She isn't a child (although that is debatable when we are talking about her intelligence) who can't fend for herself; I'm 29 years old and my father supported Mitt Romney and my mother supported Huckabee - I didn't get offend by their decisions because they are adults.
So take note Mr. Stewart - just because daddy supports McCain doesn't have anything to do with 26 year old PARIS.- hafbaked, on 08/02/2008, -1/+20you totally...missed...the point
- Enzo33, on 08/02/2008, -11/+2I didn't miss anything - McCain is pointing out what many American's already know - Paris Hilton is famous because why? Because she is a bubbly blond who has an extremely rich family. But she herself has done nothing to earn her notoriety (which is not a good word, mind you.) BO is famous because why? Because he is a young candidate who is good a reciting speeches of a screen? Because he has an appeal that fascinates many without really knowing why? He hasn't done anything to deserve such undo accolades and neither has Paris; well, at least she took her cloths off for a skin flick!
- vexingmodstwo, on 08/02/2008, -13/+2Enzo, you're wasting your time. They've drank the kool-aid and they'll never accept that Obama has vastly less experience than anyone who has run for President since probably Lincoln.
Obama is the product of a marketing campaign. A brand. - makeitloud, on 08/02/2008, -1/+13Enzo, yeah you did. Stewart didn't rip Paris Hilton for anything. He ripped McCain for publicly insulting the daughter of one of his donors. Think about it.
vexingmodstwo, you too. - vexingmodstwo, on 08/02/2008, -4/+1So you're saying McCain doesn't pull any punches even when it is someone who has donated to his campaign? And this is a bad thing?
- chaosblade77, on 08/02/2008, -0/+6@vexingmodstwo
They donated $4600 to his campaign and then he insults their kid in order to attack Obama. I'd say that's a bad thing. - philzpilz, on 08/02/2008, -1/+1Not sure if its a bad thing so much as, you know, a stupid thing.
And kinda disrespecful to your own supporters.
Who also probably eat types of lettuce with funny names - makeitloud, on 08/04/2008, -0/+1@vexingmodstwo:
"McCain doesn't pull any punches.."
Oh, please. He compared Obama to Paris Hilton. That doesn't remotely qualify as a punch. Temper tantrum, maybe. Something you'd expect from an eighth-grader, or George Bush, but not somebody who's running for president.
- tech42er, on 08/02/2008, -2/+6You don't understand what it's like for rich families, do you? When you give a lot of money and support to someone, they're not supposed to insult your family.
- Enzo33, on 08/02/2008, -6/+0He didn't insult anyone - all he did was show a picture of her in an ad claiming that Obama has been showered with lots of fame for no reason.
By everyone saying that it is an insult to Paris is therefore actually stating the obvious - almost like Obama himself declaring - I'm the "Black" candidate. No crap your black and no crap Paris hasn't done anything in her life to be worthy of "fame."
- Enzo33, on 08/02/2008, -6/+0He didn't insult anyone - all he did was show a picture of her in an ad claiming that Obama has been showered with lots of fame for no reason.

- Enzo33, on 08/02/2008, -32/+3Anyone else find it weird or completely disturbing how Obama refers to himself in the third person as "Obama, will..." or "Obama, believes..." or "Obama, has fought..." on his "Blueprint for America" which can be found and read on his official website. I find it really creepy....
I find Obama's plan to be appalling and grossly out of touch with what America stands for - guess he really does want to change things...unfortunately, thanks to our public education system, many American's are too ignorant to realize that most of what he talks about doing in this blueprint rails against almost everything that this nation is built upon.
Now, go ahead and bury me my liberal loonies!!!- makeitloud, on 08/02/2008, -2/+9Ok. Sorry, no bonus points for cliche alliteration.
- MonkCanatella, on 08/02/2008, -2/+9Oh no! He's going on an internet rampage! Watch out internets!
- nonchalantmoon, on 08/02/2008, -2/+6you define irony by saying that obama, a man who has built grassroots campaigns for inner city community development from next to nothing into 10 times it was, lost touch. he has worked hands on with the people, and you claim he's out of touch? even if mccain still HAS the sensation of touch, he hasn't worked with the common man since fay wray was being stolen by king kong.
and how grossly presumptuous is it for you to declare what america wants from a leader? at this point, i'd like it if the president didn't have the immanent threat of a cardiac arrest.
oh, and by the way, you need to distinguish independent rationalization (otherwise known as 'thinking') from liberalism. anyone can be a hannity about it with a murdoch arm up the ass.
- nemo001, on 08/02/2008, -13/+1Paris Hilton's papi wouldn't even vote her for President. She also has slipped in popularity. The savior of the world is too. Pass out the sack cloths, cat-o-nine-tails, passports and flight tickets (and some reefer).

- vltg, on 08/02/2008, -22/+1Jon Stewart is the product of the "idolization age" of dirty words and slimy innuedo. I try not to watch too much of him....so, I had to rely on the transcripts of his latest journey into vulgarity. He seems to be focused on bodily functions; perhaps a result of faulty potty training, which has resulted in an anal retention obsession.. Take a "dose of salts" Jon.

- absurdist, on 08/02/2008, -0/+8Project much?
- Swift2, on 08/02/2008, -2/+47What this makes clear is exactly how brain-dead cable news especially has become, and how much the right knows how to dole out stupid talking points in exactly the right bite-sized chunks for Matthews, Wolf et al to start playing with like little kittens. McCain, the owner of 9 houses in the millions each, calls Obama, who owns one, an elitist, and that's the word on these tiny minds for months. Watch out next by some actual Swiftboating by jerks like Jerome Corsi, which the media zombies will repeat in detail and then "wonder" if it's true. God, we need to break up the media concentration. We have a disgusting parade of hairdos looking at us every day, asking idiotic questions. They're the ultimate villains of the last 10 years.

- singingsox, on 08/02/2008, -3/+31This is amazing. One of the most valid attempts to prove McCain is a hypocrite that I've seen on digg.
- voteobama4, on 08/02/2008, -3/+23Hilarious...but also a completely valid dismantling of the central tenets of McCain's presidential bid.
- consciousNOT, on 08/02/2008, -28/+0He's just pissed off because Sarah Silverman broke up with him. Oh, wait. That was Jimmy Kimmel. Never mind.
- MosaicM, on 08/02/2008, -2/+48I know Obama isn't all that and he won't save us all. But honestly, McCain is just so much worse. He's owned by the oil companies and his base just like Bush was and still is.
- AmazingSteve, on 08/02/2008, -18/+5Except McCain, at his core, is a good person and is unable to hide the fact that he's shoveling ***** for the party. McCain always has the look of "God, I really hope nobody calls me on this *****" on his face when he's trying to sell something.
- Shadic, on 08/02/2008, -1/+16McCain is a good person? What about the whole, "Leaving his wife after she got disfigured to go after another model, but with money," thing?

- VitriolAndAngst, on 08/02/2008, -3/+23Why doesn't the Obama election committee just pay to rebroadcast a few of these segments?
I'm sure that they are worried about the same thing coming against them -- but really, it is the total hypocrisy and moronic platitudes of McCain that are comedy gold. The Obama jokes fall flat because they are mildly funny. To be really funny, you have to up the douchebaggery of the joke. McCain is just a better target.- pseudononymist, on 08/02/2008, -2/+1Seriously? He's already been accused of seeming arrogant--why would he want to substantiate those allegations.
- suz123nj, on 08/02/2008, -5/+1Agree with Vitrolandangst-- obama's team should use this stuff to produce their own "humorous" web video. Mc Cainis an easy target too.
- Infidelcastr0, on 08/02/2008, -2/+23I'd take a televised dump on Paris Hilton....

All he has done is gone undercover. Dumped his mentor. Dumped his partnership with the church he loved for 20 years ...all because they were becoming a distraction in his race for the presidency. makes you gasp.
What is it they say about a man who gains the world and loses his soul ? ...- Strider817, on 08/02/2008, -0/+2You mean like McCain signing off on the pro-torture bill just because he had a little chat with the President, oh right, we don't like to talk about that one.
Listen, you can't use the I've been tortured so I'll be a good president if you consistently work against preventing torture by your own country! I'd say that's a way way better example of losing your soul then getting rid of a distraction the Right would love to use against him.
Which reminds me... where did McCain's mother go? - runCMD, on 08/03/2008, -1/+1Under the bus where Obama threw his momma during his 'dont look at what I've done - look at what we can do, together' speech ? : ) - Sorry, that was just funny.
