Why won't he deny that he raped and killed a young girl in 1990?

The strategies for conveying a sense that Beck's onto something that no one else sees and that he's sharing with his audience -- a sense that you're part of a special club that knows what's really happening, what's really going on, while everyone else wears blinders.
The warning and the woeful plea that Beck and you the viewer are the oppressed victims of whatever nefarious conspiracies are unfolding.
The faux non-partisanship of throwing in one line saying Republicans aren't exempt.
The faux populist move that allows Beck to disregard all forms of existing knowledge: Those who say they're experts about this, and say I'm wrong... those "doctors" who claim to know about medicine... they're elitists who can't tell us what to believe and what not to believe about our bodies!

Jon/the Show should get an Emmy for most incisive parody. - badwithcomputer, on 11/06/2009, -2/+5anyone else almost feel like it was TOO accurate to be funny? it was creepy how hard jon stewart was able to nail glenn beck's whole schtick...he was doing it so convincingly and for so long that it made me worried someone brainwashed him the night before. he should have done his whole show like that for halloween.
