- theYevvin, on 04/25/2008, -3/+341I am constantly amazed that the daily show produces more reliable information gathering and comparison than any major news source. And hes just doing to be funny. Why can't the people who's job it is to look this ***** up get it right? Oh, that's right, the media is just corporations with corporate agendas, silly me.
If you get your news from TV, you are being lied to. - inactive, on 04/25/2008, -3/+197And once again, the court jester is the only one in the country who's allowed to speak the truth. Goddamn I hate that. I mean, I love Jon Stewart, I love his show... It just makes me weep for this country that it takes an entertainment show to call ***** on anything.
- redcolumbine, on 04/25/2008, -7/+152Unbelievable. SO WHY DO SO MANY PEOPLE STILL BELIEVE IN HER???
- Stevo23, on 04/25/2008, -3/+125Can Obama make Jon Stewart his press secretary? Finally, press conferences would be honest (and entertaining!).
- motivatedmama, on 04/25/2008, -8/+117Gotta watch this!
One tremendous "If you" = One tremendous "F you" to the people, in Clinton speak.
Stewart nails it again! - bgrah449, on 04/25/2008, -1/+97I like how she calls herself the more electable candidate when she can't even get elected IN HER OWN PARTY.
- jkbowman, on 04/25/2008, -5/+71Bravo! - Jon Stewart nails it again.
- chris9902, on 04/25/2008, -1/+62because the other dude is black.
- wild, on 04/25/2008, -1/+57But the daily show is on tv!
- Filipp0, on 04/25/2008, -0/+54If you don't read the paper, you're uninformed.
If you read the paper, you're misinformed.
-Mark Twain - Stevo23, on 04/25/2008, -2/+53Oh, also, if he kept his job on the Daily Show, he could say dumb things at a press conference, and then make fun of them on his show. "Can you believe what Obama's press secretary said today?" It would be total easy money.

watch it before it's down again - presidentblogs, on 04/25/2008, -2/+52absolute classic. Im gaining more and more respect for Jon Stewart. While the mainstream media are still giving some cred to hillary, stewart aint afriad to tell it like it is. The clinton masters of spin will come undone.
- diggeradoo, on 04/25/2008, -21/+69Olbermann unspins the spin on Countdown http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Olbermann_Sheds_ ...

- omnithought, on 04/25/2008, -7/+44Obama/Stewart '08!
- unmarked, on 04/25/2008, -3/+37As has been said before, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert (along with their "friends") are the court jesters of today's society. They serve a very important role in being able to speak the truth when no one else will.
- davidg11, on 04/25/2008, -10/+36I realie why a lot of people hate Hillary....and why others need her..she talks down to you like you're a little child. Obama, in contrast, inspires. Democrats. As a whole, democrats think they are victims of everything. Therefore it is completely understandable that many need a "parent figure" like Hillary to talk down to them and take care of them.
That's what a bloated govt is supposed to do..take from the rich and "take care of them". The other half want to be inspired to do something about what they see as a perceived mess in government. That's Obama's camp. They're still needy..after all they're democrats, but don't need to be coddled like Clinton would do to them. - bicyclethief, on 04/25/2008, -1/+26the other dude doesn't have a vagina
- Peko, on 04/25/2008, -1/+25Well, I was on the fence until i SAW YOUR USE OF CAPS. NOW I'M RETHINKING.
- evilregis, on 04/25/2008, -0/+22It is sad that Jon Stewart is the closest thing to news to hit the air waves in the US. However, the most disgusting moment to me was a video posted here yesterday (I believe). In it, Helen Thomas was calling the WH on their deliberate lying about its use of torture. Dana Perino denies it and insults Thomas for even suggesting such a thing, and the rest of the press room is silent. ***** silent. Her call at the end, "Where is everybody" was just icing on the ***** that is the state of U.S. News Media.
- Miamisun, on 04/25/2008, -1/+22Has someone had the balls to explain to her why she had more votes in Michigan and Florida. She was not supposed to be on the ballot either just like Obama was not in michigan. Than at the last minute she used a loop hole to get her name on the ballot. She knew that she would be able to spew this ***** down the line. She campaigned in Florida and Michigan even though she knew the results would not count. Obama did not. Who the hell is she to start preaching that the voters want to be heard.
- tlm2021, on 04/25/2008, -1/+20Finally. It's kind of the ***** that makes me unable to vote for Hillary in any election. And it's been even more frustrating that the marginalization of the actual voting results has been ignored. Instead let's focus on pastors, flag pins and Bosnia. THIS is why Hillary lost my vote. Having the super delegates overturn the clear will of the people will do far more damage to the Democratic party and to the country as a whole than having Obama vs. McCain in the fall.
And you want to talk about patronizing. "They just vote on whatever, and that's part of the process." That's flat out demeaning to the American people. - franklymister, on 04/25/2008, -0/+18Hillary had a lead of over 20 points in Pennsylvania at one point, because it is a demographic custom made for her. Even after twisting Obama's words and giving him a good Rove-style smearing, she still lost over half that advantage, and had to settle for a one-digit lead.
Your county-by-county argument is surely comforting to cling to, but it's irrelevant. Sorry to break it to you, but this election is for a national office, not county sheriff. - meltlight, on 04/25/2008, -0/+18AND... Hillary and most of the media forget a huge truth about the actual popular vote. the votes counted at Caucuses are not individual ballots-- they're representative of precincts and districts. that's why the vote totals are well below primary vote totals.
if you count the actual individual votes from Caucuses, Obama's pop-vote increases by two million (at the very least). - GoKings, on 04/25/2008, -0/+18***** Viacom.... Anyone got an alternate link?
- mochaman, on 04/25/2008, -2/+20F**k the voters, her own word coming to bite her in the ass, and she says that Obama is an elitist?
- tharju, on 04/25/2008, -2/+19same reason as Bush. *sigh*
- BigManOnCampus, on 04/25/2008, -1/+18It's times like these that I wish youtube wasn't blocked at work :(

- theaceoffire, on 04/25/2008, -3/+19And they lie to us for humor.
However, normally people are LAUGHING when the Daily Show lies.
When Fox lies, people applaud. - simonwright, on 04/25/2008, -1/+16Jon Stewart is brilliant. When the rest of the media is content feeding you with rice ration non-stories and discussion about male genitalia, The Daily Show tells it like it is.
- louiedog, on 04/25/2008, -0/+14Coming from the county next to Lackawanna I can tell you that Jesus himself wouldn't have won the vote if his skin was too dark. There was half a Black person in my high school (one Black parent) and I witnessed first hand the racism he faced. I won't speak for other parts of the State, but I wouldn't expect him to win that area at all.
- humanerror, on 04/25/2008, -1/+15http://www.democracynow.org
It's the daily show... without the funny, but with Amy Goodman - one of the most kickass independent journalists out there and one major thorn in the ass of the corporate media. - Slizzo, on 04/25/2008, -2/+16What, and she does?!
- DEIx15x8, on 04/25/2008, -3/+16Don't comment spam your stories!
- flaknugget, on 04/25/2008, -7/+20I have to wonder, do Americans still consider their country a democracy?
The public voice, delivered both in votes and opinion polls has apparently become meaningless to politicians of the past 8 years.
Although few embody that state of selective representation quite as loudly as Hillary's current campaign. - KidTechno, on 04/25/2008, -2/+15hillary, just drop out.....
- tacojohn48, on 04/25/2008, -0/+13It is not now, nor has it ever been, nor will it ever be a democracy. It is a republic.
- nubious, on 04/25/2008, -0/+13"This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Viacom International Inc."
Would this qualify as Viacom helping spread propaganda due to limiting the information available to the people?
I think I smell a boycott... - RobertJoseph17, on 04/25/2008, -1/+14Thanks for the clarification.
- aqcarter, on 04/25/2008, -0/+12Way to take the "bitter" comment out of context just like the media... Being from a small town I can honestly say that I am a little bitter anyways, so quit talking about bs comments taken out of context and vote on the issues.
- xtinamo, on 04/25/2008, -0/+12So noted, but this is not the ***** middle ages here! This is a modern democratic society and we shouldn't have to rely on fake news to bring us the real news. Today we have the freedoms of speech and press that are used to sell a product or propagate a certain belief rather than bring truth to a country that cannot survive without it. TDS and TCR are only seen by a limited and younger audience while the rest of country is asphyxiated by the lack of and outright withholding of truth.
- smek2, on 04/25/2008, -1/+13Curse you Viacom!
- Herrold, on 04/25/2008, -0/+11"If we are going to count black votes, I mean come on.."

(in case viacom get all the clips out of youtube) - BeforeSputnik, on 04/25/2008, -5/+15and hers has a snuke in it.
- BigPapi, on 04/25/2008, -0/+9I can't trust Clinton. Like most politicians, she puts a spin on just about everything, with the assumption that all of us listening are retarded.
When Obama says "Hey, we've done close to 30 debates. We've said all that needs to be said. Enough's enough" she goes around and says "Obama won't even debate here in your great state of -insert_state_here-" just to get more support from the locals who are barely paying attention to the race. It's utter *****. - swifty383, on 04/25/2008, -2/+11It's a sad truth, but there will be no progress until the baby boomers are gone
