- pictureDIGGER, on 01/25/2008, -6/+175That is why he won in SC. Go figure, he speaks their lingo.
- usrlocalbin, on 01/25/2008, -13/+166I think the Miss Teen SC is smarter than McMain.
- misfitpanda, on 01/25/2008, -15/+166IF Ron Paul becomes president he will bring peace to the iraq and everywhere like such as.
- Cleaner44, on 01/25/2008, -8/+107"I think the economcy, such as, people in Africa need money and like Americans, such as, Phil Gramm and the Treasury Secretary could defeat the terrorists, such as Osama..."
- linkerjpatrick, on 01/25/2008, -6/+97I can't wait to get my "Don't Blame Me I Voted for Ron Paul" bumper sticker.
- bowe, on 01/25/2008, -10/+98awesome, well done!
- FluffyWolf, on 01/25/2008, -4/+90The unedited video clip of Ron Paul's question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJ1OB2iLxcY
- atb112, on 01/25/2008, -7/+80"The...uh...um...er...such as...uh...in 1982...um...obviously...and...er...that...uh...would...er...I believe....ummm....Thank you"
- Gottlos, on 01/25/2008, -6/+75It's great how he says he is well versed in the economy earlier in the debate. It's hilarious when Ron Paul destroys him with that economy question that he should know. We should call him Ron Pwnage now. :)
- Mizzike, on 01/25/2008, -6/+74"Straight Talk" : ]
- kanvas, on 01/25/2008, -2/+61I admit I had no idea what Ron Paul was talking about either. But neither did McCain. And only one of us wants to be President.
- SimianSamurai, on 01/25/2008, -0/+59Definitely better looking
- RomanThommassen, on 01/25/2008, -2/+54The REAL vid:
Ron Paul: do you know SOMETHING abouth economics??
MCcain: No, I don't, but Ie have friends to know for me. - warsd4, on 01/25/2008, -7/+57Ron Paul pwnes McCain.
- chkdg8, on 01/25/2008, -8/+57McCaine and his fuzzy-ass mathematics logic. This guy's a disaster.
- Look4Truth, on 01/25/2008, -8/+55Hehehe. Ron Paul makes the others look like fools.
- kneelB4zod, on 01/25/2008, -8/+55That should be a TV add for big Ron, that was priceless.
- MalachiConstant, on 01/25/2008, -6/+49Love that "Sorry, wrong answer" smirk RP gives at the end.
- Devachan, on 01/25/2008, -4/+43Let's face it if you plan on voting for McCain in then you're going to get a senile old fool who's been in DC so long that he's way out of touch with the average American. Besides he'll just support all of Bush's old policies...
- katie212, on 01/25/2008, -1/+38Yeah, but your not running as president and didn't claim expertise in economics like mccain did.
- ClockworksNine, on 01/25/2008, -9/+44Best part was when Ron Paul was just shaking his head at this idiot's response.
- IrvineS2K, on 01/25/2008, -1/+35That was pretty damn funny. =P
Kind of a serious matter that McCain doesn't know what to say about the PPT though:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/main.jhtml?view=D ... - quomen, on 01/25/2008, -5/+35Yeah.
"We'd like to see more sunshine'."
wtf. His answer was absolutely incomprehensible. - kelsosmythe, on 01/25/2008, -5/+33Mr. McCain, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
- lazerus9, on 01/25/2008, -6/+34The difference is; You could put a blond wig on McCain and he would still be ugly!
- mattbdavis, on 01/25/2008, -0/+27I always vote for the Sunshine and Rainbows candidate. How can I not?
- RomanThommassen, on 01/25/2008, -13/+40the bottom line of this vid is: MCcain is electable
- pezoamo, on 01/25/2008, -4/+31I don't understand how people can back this guy
- neocognitism, on 01/25/2008, -7/+32McCain even looks like he talks out of both sides of his mouth.
Say what you will about Miss Teen SC, and it probably is all true, but at the end of the day I still want to consume her whole like a hungry python finding a painfully gorgeous possum. - diggger, on 01/25/2008, -1/+25But you're not running for president. It seems like it would be a good idea for anyone running for president to already know what the "President's Working Group on Financial Markets" is.
- hamobu, on 01/25/2008, -5/+28Like McCain, I too had to look up what Working Group on Financial Markets is.
- jhammar, on 01/25/2008, -3/+26I can't believe that in the post-debate coverage, this was not mentioned at all. I was laughing when McCain answered that question during the debate and couldn't wait to hear the commentators rip McCain for it. But no...one woman in the post-debate show actually thought McCain won! This is getting ridiculous. Maybe Olbermann will cover it today, but I doubt it.
- spider418, on 01/25/2008, -8/+30He's a war hero for Christ sake!
- Lysogen, on 01/25/2008, -6/+28Ron's "This is full of fail" face at the end was pretty cool.
- Frnnkdlxx, on 01/25/2008, -0/+20McCain: "Screw it, make it 100,000."
He actually said it folks.... Let's build a spaceship and launch this guy into the sun. - Twisty, on 01/25/2008, -1/+20I always heard the country of such as was like err uhm like yeah fun and like er they need uhm more fun?
- Akronos, on 01/25/2008, -3/+22So basically, you'd vote for a dumbass that doesn't have a clue about what he's talking about over a really smart person. McCain doesn't even know what he's talking about regarding the war, his so called advantage because he is a POW. http://parocks.com/mccainoniraq.JPG
This isn't the race for high school president, buddy. You don't vote for the dumbest and most popular moron. The fact that you would make such a statement makes me sad for the future of America. Now I know why people such as Bush get elected as president. Being smart is actually a hindrance in the view of voters like you. - iwilldigg, on 01/25/2008, -0/+19You are right, atleast she said something without referring other people.
- Akronos, on 01/25/2008, -0/+19Yeah, you'll need a "Blame me for Bush 2.0, I vote for clowns" sticker.
- purag66, on 05/13/2009, -3/+22Call me an idiot, but I think Miss SC played her cards right. She was essentially invited to make a political statement by her question, and she refused by aligning with blond stereotypes. This way, she earned the wrath of neither side of the political spectrum, only pity.
McCain, on the other hand, wants to be president, and presidents have to be a lot more....oh, wait. - emjaymj, on 01/25/2008, -1/+20"Picking on a guy who may in fact win."
That's why we laugh about it now, because if he wins, it will become simply scary. - card51short, on 01/25/2008, -1/+19"McCain will have an entire staff do work on the economics like every other president."
So that's his plan, eh? "What do you plan to do with the economy, Mister McCain?" "Oh, I'll set up some team of guys to do that...I don't know anything about that junk...not like the economy is in trouble or anything."
Trolls : "OMG RON PAUL'S PLAN FOR THE ECONOMY IS HORRIBLE!!!"
"Take your skinny wimpy dr ron ***** paul and go away."
Awww dry those eyes, little boy! EditorResponse used to post some decent (for a troll) posts reputing Ron Paul...now he's just a crying mess spouting hate through his dripping tears. - hellyes, on 01/25/2008, -0/+18That head shake was from an older debate when McCain and Paul were talking about the Iraq, like such as.
- apc3161, on 01/25/2008, -0/+16Speaking of which, how the hell can Huckabee call himself a republican? He sounded like Roosevelt there, "lets get the government out, building stuff, and spending money in order to boost the economy."
- asspants, on 01/25/2008, -5/+21I watched this debate, since most of it was about the economy I think it would have been great if Dr. Paul had brought along with him and stacked up on his podium all the books he has written about economics.
- lOvOl, on 01/25/2008, -2/+18I was simply in awe at the response McCain gave, because as a Senator for over 30 years, he should know how the government works since that is his freaking job. Either McCain has Alzheimer's and can't remember what he was trying to recall, or else he has seriously been asleep at the wheel in Washington all these years.
Ron Paul asked him this question because he knew McCain would make an ass of himself and mention people on this "Presidential Working Group on Financial Markets" yet not know that those people he mentioned (so called expert friends of his), were actually part of that group.
Granted, I didn't know the answer to Ron Paul's question either, and few people probably do, but McCain as a Senator should know the answer to this question since a 30 year Senator should be an expert on government (and well-versed in economics as well).
Rather than McCain simply saying "I don't know what the heck you are talking about Mr. Paul", he took Ron Paul's bait and made a huge ass of himself by both dodging the question and pretending to give a real answer, but at the same time mentioning "friends of his" who were actually in the presidential group mentioned by Ron Paul which made him look doubly stupid.
What this debate proved beyond a shadow of a doubt, was that because McCain has no concept of economics or finance, he is unqualified to make decisions regarding war, because war planning requires a crapload of forethought (if you want to win) with regards to economics and finance. Going to war without funds to pay your soldiers or buy them weapons will inevitably result in defeat as your enemies just have to drag things out and avoid fighting a major battle. Al-Qaeda is bleeding us financially so bad that in the long run they will likely win by default if we have to continue spending a million dollars or more to kill or capture each member of Al-Qaeda.
We can all agree or disagree with the premise of whether or not we should of gone into Iraq in the first place to remove Saddam Hussein, but to think that we will possibly elect a President who doesn't even have the faintest clue with regards to finance and economics and how much those topics matter with regards to waging war, is mind-boggling to say the least. - someuser90, on 01/25/2008, -7/+22I don't care if she isn't smart, I'd still like to ***** her
- Arahail, on 01/25/2008, -2/+17Ron Paul asked if he would get rid of it, or change its role or make it more transparent. He did not answer that at all, if he was a straight talker, he should say that he doesn't know what it is. Instead, he just mumbled about getting experts when he can't even admit his own ignorance. Yeah, straight talker indeed.
