- wclass, on 01/04/2008, -24/+286100 years? Very possible considering we have been in Europe, Japan, and Korea going over 60 years.
Ron Paul is right. We can't afford nation building when our own bridges are falling. - Atvdude, on 01/04/2008, -33/+155McCain is crazy.. on top of this comment... he also said he wished we were still fighting VIETNAM... I do too.. that way HE WOULD STILL BE A POW!!! what a crazy bastard
- deadbaby, on 01/04/2008, -9/+127If we pull out of Japan now the terrorist have truly won.
- laclient19, on 01/04/2008, -33/+122100 YEARS IN IRAQ IS MCCAIN INSANE?????????? WATCH THE VIDEO OF IT:

- inactive, on 01/04/2008, -12/+78If we pull out of Japan they will bomb pearl harbor again.
- Qyasogk, on 01/04/2008, -10/+57What's sad is that I used to be a McCain supporter way back when he was considered a "Maverick". Now he's just G.W.B.'s slut. Deep throating all the way.
- gothicform, on 01/04/2008, -9/+54Only 100 years McCain? Come on, be more ambitious. I know it's called the New American Century but you need to start thinking towards the New American Millennium, maybe even a reich that lasts a thousand years.
- RIMberry, on 01/04/2008, -17/+56I hate this *****, the democrats and republicans will keep us there forever with no change. The Welfare/Warfare state is here to stay.
What sucks even more is the MSM has everyone brainwashed. - patflex, on 01/04/2008, -14/+39Well, look at the brighter side. If McCain becomes president, unemployment in the US will reach rock bottom - every one will be a soldier.
- inactive, on 01/05/2008, -3/+25If our military were a corporation, the motto would be: "We're here to stay"
- danevahey, on 01/04/2008, -5/+26Winner
- inactive, on 01/04/2008, -5/+22Not different, wrong.
- canthraxp, on 01/05/2008, -11/+28"As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed. That’s fine with me,..."
And by "Americans" he refers to himself. - Groovemaster, on 01/04/2008, -14/+30The only people who are crazy are those who believed the original ***** story that Iraq would be an "in and out" operation, over in two weeks max.
Gullible apathetic cretins. You deserve everything single negative thing that's your owners have done to your once-great country. - williamdyer, on 01/05/2008, -3/+18How about we stop paying for Israel's weapons?
- jihadjohnson, on 01/04/2008, -10/+24And he wonders why his campaign crashed burned, and burned some more?
- civdis24, on 01/05/2008, -10/+24I hope that one day, people will realize that Ron Paul really is spot on about a lot of things. Many people dismiss him readily as a 'moonbat' but when you really learn about how the world really is today and what has been going on with this nation in the past 60 or so years, you will realize just how right he is. The problem is that people are 1) ignorant, 2) uninformed or misinformed, and 3) generally apathetic.
- inactive, on 01/05/2008, -1/+13Brainwashed to kill you?
You're talking about the people you've been pretty much taking a giant dump on for the past 30 years, right? - smacksaw, on 01/04/2008, -6/+17Hell, at that point we might as well make them the 51st state.
- metapop, on 01/05/2008, -4/+15whatever it is, it will definitely involve a very large banner saying "mission accomplished" indicating victory.
- inactive, on 01/05/2008, -9/+20"a no-casualty presence"
That you imagine that there could be a "no casualty" presence in Iraq shows how far out of tune with reality you are. Perhaps the pixies and flying unicorns will be protecting the troops from receiving casualties, in your world? - mstoneburner, on 01/05/2008, -1/+12That's really interesting, that you wish death upon the family members of someone that you disagree with. We've seen that somewhere else. Where was it... Let me think...
- Sister24Moon, on 01/05/2008, -6/+17Excuse me, but isn't this the administration that's trying to legalize torture?
- RIMberry, on 01/04/2008, -5/+16Would you care to share a reason why we should do that?
- CannedMango, on 01/05/2008, -5/+15So he's justifying one ***** policy by referencing other ***** policies?
Looks like he's been studying from the Book of Bush. - caferrell, on 01/04/2008, -3/+13Could you explain to me how we recognize victory in Iraq? I'm a little confused about that part.
- ADWestCo, on 01/05/2008, -2/+12More like "We won't leave until you do"
- ProKid, on 01/05/2008, -4/+13Between this and the comments recently made by Guliani about having a Dick Cheney like VP, doesn't look like some of these GOP candidates are trying to win this thing.
- moxley, on 01/05/2008, -5/+14What you're saying, basically, is that "the end justifies the means."
I disagree. This is the argument politicians (especially the corrupt ones, which is most of them) use to violate rule of law and will of the people.
The Iraq war was not about the ***** they sold to the public. Anybody who knows how to get information from places other than the mainstream news networks and has done some research, studied materials from PNAC, CFR, certain think tanks, fact checked it, etc should know that.
The Iraq war is about several things::
Stealing money - (there are so many angles on this, from outright taking millions of Saddams, to the PCA and all of their fraud and flying in with BILLIONS of dollars in American currency on ***** pallets, to contractor and subcontractor fraud and beyond, and more)
Controlling Oil
Having bases in the region
Splittting the country into 3 to 5 independent regions - (this was the plan from the beginning, for civil war to outbreak. I suspect that tis will be the outcome.
McCain is a piece of ***** corporatist;
Al Qaeda, Al Qaeda, AL Qaeda - possibly named after the CIA's database of foreign jihadists built up during their campaign in Afghanistan. BIn Laden was a CIA asset and likely still is, assuming he is still even alive.
We are all getting ***** in the ass hard by this administration, but the problems which allowed them to take things to this level started long before they got into office and go back to the Fed and the end of WWII. Much of the US Federal government is being run as criminal organization, and this is documented in so many ways it would make your head spin.
Wake up *****. - somespecial, on 01/05/2008, -7/+16McCain is wrong
- GravitySpec, on 01/05/2008, -1/+10So who are you voting for? Just curious since you say you do your own research... or were you being apathetic and snide?
- sodade, on 01/05/2008, -2/+11Pretty good deal for us? WTF are you talking about? It is a huge waste of taxpayer dollars.
That said, I lived in Iwakuni for a while when I was 8 and have great memories of the awesome toys, real fireworks (roman candles ***** rock at 8yrs old and I bet I'd have a blast at 39) and eating sushi in 1976 before it became trendy. - ozanweb, on 01/05/2008, -3/+12It seems some of your brains just shut off right after "100 years" and missed this little gem: "As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed." That is called a conditional, something used in logic, also in figure of speech. His point was that he'd stay as along as possible to keep Americans safe, a good ideal. NOW: I don't agree staying longer would help with this, and I don't like McCain for my own reasons, however, anyone freaking out about this quote is overreacting to a retarded degree. It's like the ***** national enquirer in here.
He didn't say anything new or exciting, we all knew he didn't plan to pull out, we all know that HE doesn't have the power to stay in Iraq for 100 years. So just what are you guys so shocked about? - inactive, on 01/05/2008, -6/+15“As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed."
It's a little too late to be saying that Mr. McCain. - metapop, on 01/05/2008, -5/+13you're kidding, right? marines guarding embassies are one thing, but hundreds, possibly thousands of troops is entirely another. there is no defense for claiming al qaeda is in korea/japan. occupation is never a good thing, just ask the british.
- intangible, on 01/05/2008, -2/+10Afghanastan's, Iraq's, and Korea's borders are better protected than our own... You're telling me that we're safer with our own borders wide open while we invade countries that weren't even involved in 9/11 (Iraq, Iran)?
- inactive, on 01/04/2008, -7/+15This could possibly be the worst idea ever conceived by man.
- inactive, on 01/04/2008, -5/+13because our troops obviously like being targets...duh
- Berkana, on 01/04/2008, -6/+14That might be possible, but it will not be worth it. We've blown half a trillion dollars on Iraq, with thousands upon thousands wounded and now dependent on veterans care. The loss of productivity and earning power combined with the cost of the war makes this a stupid pursuit. Even if Iraq could provide us with cheap oil, it is not worth it; the money would be better spent developing technology to make us less dependent on foreign oil. And in any case, we were not justified in invading Iraq to begin with; the war was planned by the neocons well in advance of 9/11, and after we went in, we weren't able to find the WMDs we used to justify the invasion anyhow.
- atheinostic, on 01/05/2008, -0/+8I saw it on Fox News
- sodade, on 01/05/2008, -1/+9"If we leave expect an other attack on American soil within a year of us pulling out. " The people who are fighting us in Iraq because we are an imperialistic invader are really going to come to america to attack us? I think that is a pretty dubious claim and yet we hear this parroted by the fearmongers like it is golden truth. I'll give you a truly golden truth: our presence in Iraq and our support for Israel gives them a valid reason to feel righteous (right or wrong) in attacking us - this turns wackjob islamic leaders into powerful political figures. We need to step the ***** back and stop empowering wackjobs on both sides.
- metapop, on 01/05/2008, -4/+12that 3% away from McCain just looked a lot easier all of a sudden...
- metapop, on 01/05/2008, -2/+9don't be an idiot, S. Korea wants us out of there. Why should we be the policemen of the world? let korea sort out their own differences... they might even reunite if we allow them to talk. we guard korea's border better than we guard our own... and that's a disgrace.
- NotAChickenHawk, on 01/05/2008, -4/+11Sorry, can't give McCain a pass on this one. Its precisely because of his experience as a POW that he should know better.
- tyywebb, on 01/05/2008, -2/+9hear hear
- iburl, on 01/05/2008, -2/+92007: The year of more deaths than ever... the only reason that things have simmerd down is that we are cutting deals with the terrorists and arming them to the teeth. This is the reload phase.
- kurofuneparry, on 01/05/2008, -1/+8Man, I'd disagree but that's a funny comment... and still painfully accurate about present veterans' health care.
- Micktion, on 01/05/2008, -2/+9Of course he's insane everyone knows the oil will run out in 50 years not 100.
Bush is on the ball for once. -
